Dee Dee's Cafe, The Range in Basingstoke and Deane

Couldn't find velvet red ready made curtains and other things I wanted.

Very disappointed at the state of the place. Walkways cluttered making it tricky pushing a wheelchair, many shelf edge price labels missing and to top it off the garden centre is a disgrace. The coffee shop is extremely poor too. Over 35 minutes for 2 hot chocolates, 2 muffins, a toasted teacake and a glass of water to arrive at our table is simply not good enough.

All the products don't have the price, and when you go to pay, you will have a pricey surprise.

Good range of products and decent car park, however staff on tills could do with training, in particular the guy on the tannoy on Sunday who made announcements every 2 minutes calling individual staff members rather than all till trained staff. The girl who rang us through was lovely but seemed overwhelmed and accidentally cancelled our transaction before we could pay and had to put everything through individually.

Now dog friendly. Note a lot of items not priced or on the wrong shelf with a price on the shelf.

As expected, big shop with lots of stuff!

Not easy to get around with buggy or on crutches. Stock left in the middle of aisles. Only getting 3 stars because most of things I need are at the end of the aisle

Helpful staff, great prices on some things

Whole store often very messy when putting out deliveries. Christmas section too big in September. Food warehouse section almost empty.

Staff service for Click'n'collect is excellent, very prompt - absolutely would recommend doing c'n'c if traveling any distance, to avoid wasting time searching for "in stock" items which are sold out; there are currently significant issues with online reporting of in-store stock. Nice little café and Iceland products area .

Said in stock online so I made a special trip - but out of stock. Staff member was very helpful but said sometimes these things are out of synch.

Most things under one roof and competitive prices. Fair refund policy as well.

It’s ok but you just know the majority of the furniture will break

Such helpful staff we couldn't find bunting so we asked a lady who saw I was walking with a crutch so she went down the other end of the store bought us back a few options for us to choose from then she took back what we didn't want and returned with a further 4 packs we needed, brilliant.

Big store, with massive parking. Wide range of goods with reasonable prices. And I did find a light fitting that I could not find anywhere else. Lack off staff though, but if you track one down they are helpful

Trying to return an item to The Range marketplace but have no response can't get through on the phone, need to return as paid with Klarna as they will still charge me, unable to take to store. Really frustrated with getting nowhere.

My I suggest you put your No dogs allowed sign on the outside of the door and not halfway into the building. I looked around on the outside door and could see no sign, so I went inside. I asked for assistance from an employee who said nothing about no dogs allowed. Only when I got to the cashier I was met by an unfriendly employee who had to take it upon himself to inform me in a very condicending manner, which was quite embarassing for me. I'll be sure to go elsewhere.

Confusing layout whe compared to other range stores.

Great size shop, love that they have a big pets section as well as an Iceland to get your shopping done!

Went for a look and came away with a trolley load. Loads of stuff, literally did not realise what a great "range" they have. Needs a few more trolleys but that didn't detract from my shop.

Simply a very useful shop with a wide range of products at competitive prices. You may get everything on your list and more all in one shop.

Be careful when you buy soemthing from here. They seem to think their in house policy is above customers statutory rights. 😂 On the plus side, a call to customer services and it’s all sorted but a total waste of my time.

It's all on one level nice and big Only thing is it's very narrow lanes as its got too much stuff .... needed more staff it was very very busy

A bigger store, visited at a quieter, mi- week time means better, more relaxed shopping with all the usual variety, everything that you might need and all you could possibly want, allnunder a bright shiny roof, just off the by- pass, next to Dunelm. Better than Aldershot because that's too small.

Value for money and always helpful staff

Dreadful Service. Checked on-line and they had stock, arrived to be told they hadn't. Yet Click & Collect was showing stock. Resorted to using Click & Collect, received confirmation that Items were ready for collection. Arrived at Store and ended up waiting 25 mins for someone from Click & Collect. Seriously - Zero Customer Service.

Lots more stock than Reading store. Went in for a couple of things came out with a trolley full. Great value for money

Nice shop got everything u want for u garden

Terrible experience at the till when paying. Customer assistant with no name badge, older lady with tattoos. Name said Kelly on my receipt though. Dreadful attitude. Tutting and sighing to the lady being served in front of me and refusing to pick my items up to scan as I hadn’t put them directly in front of her. Clearly in the wrong job. A lot of items not priced on the shelf. Has put me off going back.

You can get every think you need there

Cafe area itself filthy looking. Stained and ripped seats. Floor very dirty. Was going to eat but in the end only had a coffee as was thirsty and food in the cabinet looked unappealing and the state of cafe put me off. They sell Costa coffee which is a plus but I wouldn’t be happy to be associated with the cafe in that state if I were Costa. Staff were polite enough.

This is a big store with a cafe & outdoor gardening area too. Arts, crafts, home decor, toys, kitchenware, and more. Fatal as you always end up buying more than you intend to!!

As usual I was over charged by nearly £4 I had to go back In, I was told the item was on the wrong price hanger but I can't have it for that price i can have a refund or take it for what it went through. I chose the refund. The lady who served me was absolutely lovely. But the prices are always wrong I get fed up with it especially when they won't honour it I then have to wait for the money to go back into my account.

A great store with a great "range" of goods and helpful, pleasant staff.

Ordered online for click and collect. Received email to say order ready to collect from store. Lady on service desk asked if I ordered online or on website. I said "on website, email received to collect and here is QR code". She said no you don't understand and we went through same conversation 3 times and finally said "never mind, you don't understand" and went to get someone else to deal with it. Next person scanned QR code and got my items. Two members of staff - one quite rude and condescending and the other very pleasant and knows what she's doing.

Looking for bargains, not always the cheapest

You could easily spend a couple of hours in this store with its extensive stock. The household and pet sections are great. Theres enty of craft items pmus diy. The staff are always willing to help out with checking stock for you or pointing in the right direction. Prices are very competative. The freezer section often shows me foods I haven't come across and is useful I'm sure for those who used to shop at Iceland before closure in Chineham. I quite enjoy the garden section in warmer months.

Nothing special. It is cheaper rather inexpensive.

Served by the loveliest lady. Unfortunately out of the 3 things we wanted they only had 1. It seems the glass tumblers that I purchased a year or so ago are no longer stocked. There seemed to be an unbelievable amount of staff on shift. Which to their credit, the store did look tidy and well stocked.

Products are priced wrongly.Some are not even priced at all.Stuff is not very hepful and arrogant when you are asking why is the product is not priced correctly?Not even apologising for their mistakes.

You generally can find what you need in this huge store and it’s well maintained by the staff, unlike some shops. A zillion space car park, so easy to park!

A good Range of products. Aisles are a little crowded so some areas are a bit hard to push the push chair around. Staff friendly and polite

Good range of products in store but found the shop to be dirty, the toilets were also filthy.

Huge store with ample parking for all. Cafe inside is also a bonus although some of the seating was torn.

The are some interesting items that are available here notably the clocks of which there is a good selection to choose from.

Large store packed with lots of stock. Craft stuff, photo frames, cleaning stuff, house stuff. Some furniture, Xmas stuff... Generally cheap and cheerful.

Busy today but they quickly manned all the tills

A big shop however, there's no improvement on showing products, no price display, member of staff just around but not helping, I have to check price from the till, very annoying, a shop like that could be for learning adverse Customers Service n Management. Poor.

Lots of everything, creative bits, pictures, ornaments, DIY, bedding, Pet food, garden plants, pots, with everything in between, many useful bits and pieces, always worth having a wonder round, just to see what interesting things you can find, it also includes an Iceland.

Packed full of awesome Xmas decries. They also have a sleigh you can sit and take a photo in.

Not bad , went looking for a tv stand/unit but they didn’t have very much variety for bigger tvs and also the ones that I did see were a bit pricey for what they were. But they did have some lovely things.

It's not too bad. Definitely worth a look. The Iceland is built in to this store too so you can do a freezer shop after the misses has spent your money on stuff she 'REALLY' needs but never uses.

Visited the store on the 25th Sept, was very disappointed with state of the store, very untidy and no prices on lots of items . Would of bought alot more but got fed up finding a staff member to get price .

Very polite management and staff amazing

This is a treasure trove of household items and camping items. There are 2 in-store shops: Iceland and a cafe. You can get items from the following ranges: artistic pictures, mirrors, lights, bathroom items, a wide range of kitchen items, crockery, cutlery, utensils, bedroom furniture. You may need to spend a day to browse. Husbands may drop the wives off for the day.

Basically a shop full of useful things

Huge variety of homeware, hardware, stationery, some furniture, petware, gardening tools, plants and pots to keep them in etc. They even have Iceland in-store, and a small cafe! Brilliant shop, great prices.

Lots of products lacking prices and when you get to the till they are under-staffed to deal with this and it causes long waits for you and the customers queueing behind you

They have now re arranged the Chineham Store in Basingstoke to an orderly manner with household decor and sheets along side wallpaper and curtains.. Art work and pens etc craft all together. Much better to find what you want and match. So well done.

Some products aren't barcoded so left me standing at the tills like a lemon while these Sunday kids darted about cluelessly trying to find prices for items they're selling.

The most frustrating element about this store is the lack of pricing matching the goods on the shelf. Some centre isle displays (fat balls) I couldn't find a price for and couldn't be bothered to check so left. If they addressed this issue the shop would be great.

I was in the queue Sunday when closing was announced. However I was refused service and abruptly told l would not be served and to leave. The pond pump l intended to buy was desperately needed as my pond pump had ceased to function. I just hope my fish survive.

Good , moderately ranged shopping place for home and garden

Wanted to have a longer lunch break with a colleague. Arrived at 1200, one family in the queue before us, no one to serve. There was a note saying "Will be back in 5 minutes". Waited nearly 20 mins (I dont know how long the family had waited for), then someone from the back room arrived. When our turn came, we were told they have run out of three options we had thought of ordering - no apologies. Why do you not put a note saying that "sorry, no pizzas left today" etc. Waisted 35mins and had to go back to the office via M&S . Not going back. Horrible place. Would give a zero if that was an option.

Such a great place to go to for inspiration on Home Décor and Gift ideas. There is also an Iceland section, great pet and garden sections and a huge choice of picture frames and wall art, and fun stuff, like that. If you haven't been before, it's worth going, but take your time as there is so much to see. One of the best bits is that the prices are affordable for such cool stuff. The café is perfect for a light lunch or tea time treat, as well as being a handy place to meet-up with friends. There is a huge carpark and parking is free.

Really dark and cramped despite the fact it's huge. I feel like the aisles could do with being a little further apart. Lots of random items in this store...
