Starbucks in Basingstoke and Deane

Staff extremely pleasant, served promptly with a well made coffee. Fairly clean, plenty of seating. Not overly saturated with the laptop/free WiFi/no drink brigade! Plenty of other Starbucks could take a leaf out of the Festival team! Well done

They lady would t let me remove my 3 free drinks only one. But my local does. No smile at the till, no greeting and she didn’t really understand me. Very poor. Avoid if you can.

The worst starbucks I have went so far. Very slow service when there was only 2 people in the queue. I have to wait 15 minutes for my coffee. There were 4 staffs in the counter with 2 just standing doing nothing. They started preparing my coffee after 10 minutes standing and waiting. On top of that, no one is clearing up the table. There were about 4-5 tables with empty cups and tissues scattered. Instead of staff standing doing nothing, they could make use of their time clearing the tables so it can be used by new customers. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this one is a must to hopefully get their attention and improve their customer service. Such a disappointment.

I made 2 unusal requests for drinks. They did the drinks perfect. The customer service was great quick service. I got a smiley on my drink which made me happy.

Very slow service ,had to wait 15 mins for my drink whilst trying to keep an eye on my belongings in case someone knicked my stuff If that had had happened would of held Starbucks responsible.

I normally love Starbucks but after lockdown, my visit was very disappointing. The store was filthy, I had to ask for the table and seating to be wiped down. I ordered my usual and it tasted so bad I left it, my mums iced coffee also tasted like dishwater, who ever made them didn’t know what they were doing! We also shared a cinnamon bun which was so dry. The staff who normally are friendly were rude and miserable. I can’t say one good thing about this long awaited visit which is a shame and has put me off this store completely.

I would have rated terrible however the quality of the coffee and the one assistant taking orders has increased this. Visited on 25th Jan at around 1pm. The girltaking orders was pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately the place was very busy with limited seating which is understandable on a Saturday. Unfortunately due to high turnovers there was a great deal of trash left on the tables, empty mugs and plates. When we eventually sat down, the table was full of rubbish. I could see one of the staff replenishing the water in the fridge whilst looking at the tables and the mess. Surely the priority is to have a clean environment to sit down in?Furthermore staff behind the counter (other than the one serving at the till) are far from what I expect from this brand or what I have encountered world wide. The larger girl grunted my name then walked off without so much as looking at me or any kind of interaction. I observed another one barge past customers in the line to get to the fridge without an apology or simple ‘excuse me’. Whilst I appreciate it can be busy, it is part of your job whilst working with the public to be at the very least pleasant. Other than the comfy chairs, the others can only be described as instruments of torture but I suppose If you require a high turnover then they are fit for purpose. Shame as it has kind of put me off using this store in the future.

I tend to use Starbucks over other chain coffee shops as they offer oat milk so I can have the oat milk latte. Friendly staff, and a good coffee shop with plenty of seating however the tables and chairs could do with a clean.

This was the first time to come upstairs to Starbucks and it will likely be the last. The service was slow and the staff looked and acted feed up not smile between them. The coffee when we got it was good, hot and tasteful. The tables and chairs had not been cleaned for awhile it was just after 11 am when we arrived. The best of being up stairs is ithere is less people therefore less noise. There were not too many people and no queue when we entered so no idea why it took so long to make the coffee there were small plain black. The cost was more here than other chains in the centre but their cups are larger.

We were here mid afternoon on a Wednesday. The cafe was busy but not heaving. Americano, cappucino and a caramel waffle all OK; we ordered medium sizes but were given large, and charged for them.Service OK but nothing special - certainly no particular warmth or personal approach.The important Food Standards Agency Food Hygiene rating is a 4, one below the top mark of 5 (inspection October 2018). There are two other Starbucks in Basingstoke and both have a rating of 5 so Festival Place has work to do.So typical "adequate", but somewhat indifferent, experience.

This Starbucks was so busy and it seems the staff struggle with the over capacity of customers. Thus meaning you’re left waiting ages for your drink, amongst a huddle of customers clustering around the end of the till. It’s got a lot of seating but seems less cosy than others I’ve been too. It’s very loud and isn’t a place to have a quiet coffee or catch up. The quality of the drinks is very good but the wait time is just ridiculous!

Classic oatmeal porridge, banana and coffee. All very good. Nice environment to catch up on daily news.

I’m afraid to say I’m one of those who will seek out a Starbucks when I’m in a new town, so I did when on business in Festival Place and I wasn’t disappointed. I found the staff here really nice and friendly, although it was my first visit they were taking an interest in what I was up to and joking around which was a great touch. The environment is really nice I think compared to other Starbucks branches, there’s a lot of indoor seating and more outside by the escalators in case you want more room. I found both quite empty at various times of the day.

As a disabled lady who needs a stick to walk usually whoever I'm with would grab my order for me but on this visit I wasn't feeling too good so had gone here earlier than my friends to wait for them and have something to eat. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha and some fruit toast, I must admit I felt very rushed by the barista. I guess I had hoped I might be offered some help to get to a table too but I wasn't or even a tray to make carrying easier. I took the only empty table then had to leave my food and drink to go and get a knife. When I took a sip of my drink I realised I had not got what I ordered either, I didn't know what I had but it certainly wasn't a White Chocolate Mocha. I thought about going back up as I didn't like it but really couldn't do it again and the place was busier now. My fruit toast wasn't toast either it was warm bread it was ok but not as nice as it should have been. I have only been here twice before and both times sat outside with a friend. As a lone person with poor mobility this visit was an eye opener to how poor their customer care was for someone struggling, not to mention a little less rushing from the barista and I may have got what I actually ordered. I certainly don't want to go back here and won't be recommending it to anyone.

Starbucks estándar. El café era bueno y el servicio era amable. Cuando tratamos de encontrar un asiento sin decir 2 / 3 de los asientos y las mesas estaban llenas de basura y necesitaba ser aclarado. No había asientos gratis, así que tenía que limpiar o stand. Pagar una prima para un café espero poder conseguir un asiento. Afortunadamente, un grupo de izquierda como estaba vagabundeando, así que nos dieron una mesa pequeña. Incluso las sillas había sucia. Hay otro Starbucks a un tiro de piedra de éste. Quizás tengan menos lugares entonces habrá más personal para mantener el lugar limpio.

We came here for coffee whilst waiting for a watch to be repaired locally. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Coffee was up to the usual standard and with the bonus of the additional seating area at the top of the escalators, enabling you to sit and watch the world go by whilst drinking the coffee.
