I came to Morrisons Basingstoke to buy fresh tilapia from their fish section and decided to pick up one the their cake shop doughnuts. I choose the raspberry flavour but lo and behold when l got home only one doughnut had not enough raspberry jam in it. I opened the second doughnut to find there was no jam in that one which prompted me to open the rest of the doughnut only to find those were empty too. Please Morrisons do not cheat people and sell products that doesn’t correspond to the description. Very disappointed and won’t buy doughnuts from there again as this is the second time it’s happened to that’s why lm prompted to write this review.

Swaggering out with my roast dinner held below his waist wasn't a good look and made you wonder what they do behind the scenes.

When ordering our food we didn't get a receipt, waited 50 minutes for our food. When food eventually arrived it was stone cold and the avocado was salty and tasted of lemon, the poached eggs were over cooked. Will definitely wont be eating here again, I feel this cafe has gone down hill.

No full menu, again...no explanations offered, no dates offered for return to normal service. This place is a waste of time these days

Yet another bad experience. Last time three weeks ago coffee machines broken. This time still broken, no serviettes and not too forget no receipts at order machine. Appears they have little concern about "attention to detail"

Always clean safe social distance place to eat, the food is exceptional tasty and varied the service is very good well marked out The coffee is very good plus jacket potatoes are delicious just miss the prawn jacket potatoes since the lock down Some times when busy there is a wait but never too long staff are helpful

Everything in this place was very strict and proper and made you feel quite safe. Breakfast is very good for the money, well cooked and presented, the toast is excellent.

This used to be a pleasant basic place to get good value reasonable food. It's taken a real turn for the worse. It takes ages to order and pay as the staff just disappear to gossip with their mates in the kitchen. I stood at the till for 5 minutes this time.3qtrs of the tables were covered in dirty plates and leftover food...absolutely disgusting, can't be any supervision going on.

I’m sat here and after 25 mins wait for a small breakfast. To finally get it by a young girl who clearly says to every customer sorry about the wait as a standard. Everything on my plate is cold. Sausage is no way at a hot held temperature, egg is way under cooked . Looking around so many dirty tables. I’ve complained before and gave this another chance but disappointed to have tried again. This was once such a lovely place to have a sneaky HOT breakfast such a Shane for this to happen,

We used to really enjoy Morrisons cafe, however it is now distinctly average, ok for a quick meal but not for a special visit.The have also serve the food on a piece of paper on the plate - can't see the point as it gets in the way and looks strange. The food was warm rather than hot, so overall not impressed.

Decent enough fry up for the price although somewhat inconsistent quality. Friendly staff most of the time too. Avoid the milkshake machine though...!

Unfortunately the food turned up and was so unappetising that we had to leave. Had a wonderful evening eating our diarrhoea instead. Two stars as Morrison’s sold Imodium.

Called in today and got an extra helping of phlegm and a shake of dandruff from the lady on the till. Can't wait to come back for some more of the same!

I always get my breakfast in Morrisions when ever I am in Basingstoke. HOT FRESH and plenty of it sets me up for the day all that and fair prices to. Go for it

Called in for a quick snack, jacket potatoes are in our diet and are a quick snack. The cafe is always busy the coffee is great value to. The service is quite good for the huge clientele in the cafe. There is only one till this makes a queue nearly all the time but they do their best. We are prepared to wait for our food to come out it doesn’t take that long.

Our young grandson was hungry and it was convenient to eat here as we also had shopping to do. Should have guessed when I saw how grotty it all was, with tables piled high waiting to be cleared, stained seats, crumbs and food on the floor and the young staff wandering round as if in a dream. Ok, so it was a rainy Saturday afternoon and the cafe was busy but surely there should be some supervision? Took ages to get served and our grandson had to wait an age for his (lukewarm) fries to arrive - we adults were luckier as we’d selected pre packed sandwiches and salads. By the time we’d finished tables were still waiting to be cleared :-((

Quick lunch stop. Ordering was easy but every table was dirty. The food took half an hour to arrive and when it did it was either an over cooked microwaved ready meal or deep fried and tasteless. Staff simply don’t appear interested in doing any work. Won’t be back for sure. Shame because it’s in a good spot for a lot of passing trade.

Waited a long time for eggs Benedict. Came out and no sauce to be told there was none. Should of advices at till. Eggs over cooked and bacon not cooked enough. Very dry

All we wanted was a cup of tea. Broken teapots, dirty trays, no tea bags, no cups, no sugar. The place was dirty and the old woman on the till s attitude stinks. Couldn’t care less

The only good thing this cafe has going for it is the modern decor probably just because it was recently built... the reality is it’s poorly managed, with dirty tables all over and the longest wait ever for terrible food. Glancing at the menu gives you such hope as you wonder why this modern chic style hosts such affordable food... then as soon as you have ordered and sit and wait, you start to think you have waited so long that your food now needs to be so fresh and so so much better than you first expected to make up for this waiting time. When it finally arrives it looks so bad that even the original ‘affordable’ price tag seems way too expensive.

The trays available were few in quantity and all wet. The hot food had to be ordered via a touch screen terminal which was dirty. The cutlery like the trays were wet and had remnants of the previous users food still on them.

This Cafè inside the supermarket is very comfy, I've taken a good black coffee with a Belgian Bun...the service works good.

Dopo aver fatto la spesa ci siamo riscaldati con una english breakfast direi molto buono. Veloci nel servizio, posto pulito e non troppo caro! C’è la possibilità di mettere i carrelli della spesa negli armadietti per godersi il cibo! Ogni tanto si può fare

Good selection of food at reasonable prices. Will come back again and try the Sunday lunch. Seating not that comfortable.

We had their breakfast all cooked well and good portions. Toast comes buttered not my choice but it was replaced

Did a little shopping yesterday morning and decided to stay for breakfast.

Called in just for coffee. Long wait to be served. No clean cups. Limited staff running around trying to do everything. People being told there was a thirty minute wait for cooked food.

After a cold early start to the day was in need for a breakfast, thought this was going to be ok as my local Moorys does a good value for money brekkie, how wrong was I the staff member who took my order looked like she had just smelt a bad fart, and acted like an old one, Odered and sat down with my Tea, Food arrived approx 20 mins later and was so dissapointed The toast was missing and as for the breakfast it was so cold was tempted to take it outside to warm it up, the bacon slipped off the fork due to the congealed fat it was sat in. MORRISONS YOU NEED TO SORT THIS OUT.

We were staying at the nearby travel lodge and decided instead of going for the all you eat breakfast at the Harvesters next to the lodge we thought we would go to Morrison's cafe as they seem good value for money,BIG BIG MISTAKE !!! As we entered the cafe most of the tables were covered in dirty plates still full of breakfast food where customer's had left it ,the big breakfast we had was cold, the fried bread was half a crust and it was that hard I could have hammered a nail in with it,the bacon was really fatty ,the mushrooms so full of water they wet the plate and were cold, the beans were cold and sparce the eggs were okay and my husband said the sausages were okay as he had mine and I had his bacon ,the hash browns were also cold ,it was the Worst Morrison's breakfast we have EVER had, there was no point in complaining as we would have only got the same again. I would never recommend this cafe to anyone ever.!!

Grabbed a great value breakfast on a hot Sunday to save ourselves from melting in our kitchen at home. I chose the omelette for under £4.00 - including a mug of coffee that’s breakfast for around £5.00! It was very good food after about a 10 minute wait. We did have to clear some dirty plates from the table before we could sit down, and also had to ask for brown sugar, tomato ketchup, forks and napkins. They were delivered quickly, but lots of other things were running low and these were not checked or topped up at the same time, which might have made sense and avoided anyone else having to ask. A bit more practicing

a quick breakfast was all i had time for, its was average nothing to complain about but at the same time nothing to shout about also.

I went in this morning just after 8am for your hotly exciting new big daddy breakfast, I was 4th in the queue no.37 order card. I was served very well by Francesca who took my order of big daddy breakfast, brown toast with butter and coffee. I sat down at 8.06, I started to see that people who ordered after me were getting breakfasts before me so I questioned the service lady Mo. She informed me that she was aware of my order and that I had to wait for the black pudding to be cooked. My breakfast finally arrived at 8.25. I informed the lady that I also ordered brown toast and she said she would get some for me, after a few minutes more it arrived, I also in the meantime noticed that my breakfast was missing an egg so I then had to wait for that to arrive so I finally got my full breakfast of asking at 8.35, by the time I could take a full picture of it to share on here and social media most of it was cold.

Sadly this has gone downhill steadily and I am sure its due to a shortage of staff. On our last visit it took 45 minutes for food to arrive from the point of payment. We only ordered toasted sandwiches. The table numbers were out of order and several tables had the same number - a green number 18 and a red number 18, this was this was causing confusion.

This cafe is superb well it used to be good value always quick service and good food. It is changing knot for the best unfortunately long wait for food no one about to ask about food on offer or even order it ! The service was exclent and food hot and quick service it has deteriorated unfortunately. Let’s hope things improve plus better service avaible .

This cafe has got worse over the years. The last two visits there have been very disappointing. Long wait for meals and then the food is cold. There was no available cutlery, or milk or sugar. The Serving counter was messy with spilt liquid and the Tables were dirty. The tea bags they use are cheap and tasteless, worse cuppa I’ve had. I’ve been there many times over the years hoping that it will improve but today was my last time dining there.

Huge plates of hot breakfast items, nice runny egg, crispy fried bread, lots of mushrooms, tasty bacon, just what you need to set you up for the day.

We have been here loads of time but given up now due to very slow service from 5 p.m. and even breakfast has been very slow.

We visited this Morrison's cafe on the way to an overnight hotel stop.

Decided to pop in for lunch with a friend.

Went in today after a couple of bad experiences and its got worse even though i never thought it could ..how can you turn a veggie sausage into a brick and the plate be warm but the food be cold twice asked for money back as sick of waiting ..pull your finger out morrisons!!!!

We popped in for breakfast which we do occasionally. We had found their breakfasts to be one of the best around. Unfortunately we were disappointed. All the items on both our plates were cold. We returned them,when they came back the bacon on mine was dreadful and the egg crisped,hidden underneath. We did not complain again but will just vote with our feet. Lots of tables had not been cleared,this was very unusual. Staff very friendly but maybe need supervision there!

Went today the service was ok but the food was terrible I know it's cheap but at least get the basics right! Chips were reheated, chicken dry, bacon enidible.

My ice cream was cold as I like it hot. This was very disappointing after my day trip to my nans. We texted her afterwards and she was not pleased with your awful service. Thank you p.s can I have my ice cream hot next time

The first time I went the pancakes were good so I had them the second time but when I went there the second time they were so hard they took my tooth out and when I went there again I had some chips and one of the chips had ketchup on from someone else's food so we returned it and they didn't even say sorry

One of the better morrisons cafe. The service is quick and friendly and the food is good. There can be a bit of a wait for food but mostly not

went for a cuppa and snack.my daughter ordered an english muffin with scrambled egg. we sat down, and waited....and waited....i had finished my tea and was about to go and complain, by the time the food arrived. it was freezing cold..waitress just said, sorry its been a long wait, and left. my daughter asked for a fresh, hot one....and we sat down and waited...and waited...eventually, her meal came back..the same one, microwaved, so that the toasted muffin was so soggy, it ran off her fork...she was gagging, it was so awful. i definitely would NOT recommend wasting time nor money in the cafe, its awful

While staying in Basingstoke we enjoyed a very nice breakfast in Morrisons. Prices we very reasonable, food was delivered in good time and was lovely and hot. We would go back...just a bit closer to home!

This Cafe caters for all young and old alike they have selection of sandwiches, hot mealsm, also specials for children, due to demand service can be a bit on the slow side, but price wise well worth the wait

Sunday roast beef and veg, plus pancakes and ice-cream for £7.50. Could have been warmer, and there was gravy on the plate but not in the Yorkshire, but still fair value and quite a surprise for the venue and price

Thought we'd try this cafe out for breakfast.

The main course was nice (scampi and chips) and the portions were fairly generous, pudding was alright (bread and butter pudding) although for some reason tasted a bit strange. The person at the till was very unenthusiastic and the none of the tables were being cleared after people had eaten so basically all of the tables were filled with dirty plates, this seemed a bit ridiculous when there were members of staff wandering aimlessly around. Overall the decent food and good company outweighed the negatives. There are only small things wrong with this cafe and they could be fixed very easily!

Worse dining experience ever, made me feel sick, very far from even average food, would not recommend at all.

Great location, free parking, reasonably priced, lovely snug corner to drink coffee and chat. Service at the till very slow.

When on a budget this is good for going in having dinner cup of tea for a fiver. Not fancy not great but not poor. Good value. Staff are ok pleasantly going about there job. As it is located in the store there is a lot of noise as people go about there business.
