The best restaurants in Basingstoke and Deane South East

My partner and I ordered several items: - Mac and cheese - Mozzarella sticks - Lemon and herb wings - Medium meatball Italiano pizza The portion sizes worked out perfectly for two people, but unfortunately, most dishes fell short. The mac and cheese was mediocre and forgettable. The mozzarella sticks were unusually sweet with a honey flavor, and lacked the classic stringy texture you'd expect - they were stiff, similar to halloumi fries but without the saltiness. The lemon and herb wings were particularly disappointing. They were dry and tasted like soap rather than lemon, likely due to cilantro (warning: if you're sensitive to cilantro's soapy taste, avoid these). The chicken's color was also concerning. The only redeeming dish was the pizza, which my partner enjoyed, though they mentioned it would've been better without the onions.

Terrible Delivery Time and Disappointing Food Ordered from Oriental Garden on Delivery at 6:30 PM, and our food didn’t arrive until 9:10 PM—a ridiculous 2.5-hour wait! I was left with two starving young children, which is completely unacceptable. No updates or apologies for the delay. The food itself wasn’t even worth the wait—nothing special at all. I’ve had much better Chinese takeaways in Basingstoke that were both faster and tastier. I will never order from here again and definitely do not recommend this place. Avoid if you want your food on time!

Absolutely Outstanding service, I ordered two pizza's for delivery, one standard and one build your own. When they arrived I had two standard pizza's, I called to explain and was told that this is what I had ordered! I checked an sure enough I had ordered two standard ones? I had two windows open on my desktop which must have caused the issue. The guy on the phone was kind enough to send out a build your own pizza straight away for no extra charge, a genuine mistake that I had caused. First class service, Thank you

The guys that work at the shop are very friendly and very nice. but unfortunately the food is not great it is going downhill! The donna kebab meat is terrible. It has no flavour whatsoever taste like cardboard, they really need to get a different supply of Donna, kebab meat! Please please change your supplier for your meat!

Both orders were wrong sadly. The coffees didn’t have vanilla syrups and the hot chocolate came with cream and my daughter can’t eat cream.

The staff and service were great! I accidentally ordered from their app, called to cancel, and they couldn't, but offered to let me pick it up anytime. So, I went to the mall after 15 days latet and they gave me that same order with no problems. I appreciate that they helped me, even if it was my mistake.

Great location by the river. Very friendly helpful staff - great lunch menu. Sandwiches were super fresh with goood quality ingredients. Very clean with large outside area with tables by the river. Definitely visit again!,

2 for 1 offer on spirit drinks. Watered down. Absolutely disgusting. £8 for basically 2 mixers. Don't be fooled. Save your money

Chips undercooked and fish overcooked. £22 on an awful dinner. My Dad and I threw most of it in the bin. 😔
