The best restaurants in Eden North West

I realise this is a dairy farm but one of the party had a dairy intolerance and there was no alternative and the person almost seemed offended that I had asked. The gluten free brownie was stale. Disappointing- I don’t think I’ve ever thrown away a cake before!

Called in on passing we bought fish and chips fish cooked fresh to order service was fantastic and staff very friendly and was informed they only just started opening on mondays this year. Food was superb

We dined in Bustro 1871 as part of a short break holiday at the Appleby Manor Hotel. What a lovely break this was. Our first after the Spring and Summer lockdown. The food was really good and the waiters attentive. Appleby Manor itself is a delightful hotel full of old world charm. We are returning there again for my wife's birthday in October. I shall again dine in Bistro 1871 as well as sampling the gourmet restaurant at the hotel on our second night.

Pedimos pequeñas DQO y chips hoy.El pescado no era bacalao. También había sido congelado. 5) 00 + por un poquito de pescado gris congelado. . viejo eglefino, creo. . y algunas papas empapadas. No hay horquilla disponible tampoco. Pidió sal sin agregar nada. Es una pena, ya que solía ser un buen chippy. Debe haber cambiado de dueño recientemente.Las patatas fritas también eran pobres. Soggy mess tbh.Este lugar ha pasado de ser decente a terrible.Sube un poco por la carretera y consigue un sándwich decente o un rollo, etc. en el garaje de Hills. . Mucho mejor y la mitad del precio.

This place is atmospherically welcoming. Has friendly, approachable staff. Recent new management. Good business potential. Staff are aware of many challenges ahead but facing them with dedication and focused perseverance. Listed building. Geographically, an ideal spot. Excellent food. Comfortable rooms.

Comimos pastel de queso y cebolla con papas fritas y un pastel de carne con papas fritas, una olla de guisantes y salsa. Llegó a 14, que parecía un poco empinado, sin embargo, ¡eran posiblemente las mejores tartas que hemos tenido de un chippy! El queso era un pastel individual con un delicioso pastel de mantequilla y el relleno perfecto. El bistec era una porción de una tarta grande, de nuevo pastelería perfecta y carga un relleno de bistec perfectamente cocinado. También obtuve un montón de papas fritas y también dieron en el clavo, al igual que los guisantes y la salsa. Vale la pena el dinero extra y definitivamente volvería si estamos en la zona.

We were on holiday and had breakfast at Eden River Cafe before catching the bus to Penrith. We were the first customers of the day. Everything was freshly cooked. Excellent value. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Very good place to stop off. Passed it many a time but finally went in yesterday. Friendly staff, quick service, food fresh and well cooked. All amenities toilet showers, dining all spot on and clean as a whistle. A rare ‘no nonsense’ inexpensive cafe that does exactly what it says on the tin with no pointless frills. Thanks.

We ordered a delivery to our holiday home this evening. We had Chinese and Japanese food. Everyone loved their food. It was tasty and fresh and didn't take too long to arrive. Thank you so much. Highly recommend 👌

We visited Penrith 'Costa Coffee' on Thursday morning 19th September. Actually I arrived 5 minutes or so before my three friends and ordered my latte. As usual I was greeted by friendly, chatty but business-like counter staff . Later, my friends arrived some of whom have mobility issues and no sooner had they arranged seating and sat down ... then a member of staff called "Kirsty" appeared, unprompted, at the table (it's normally counter service) to take orders and then bring coffees & chocolate drinks directly to the table. The considerate attitude of Kirsty & other members of staff is a credit to Penrith 'Costa Coffee' and means that we will continue to be regular customers in future. A big thanks to Kirsty & others! Delicious home made vegetarian food in a lovely setting. Highly recommended. Very reasonably priced.

Wonderful location. Fantastic views The staff were so lovely, we felt like VIPs - we were staying at the hotel and all the staff made our break that extra special. The food was exceptional - I had pea panna cotta which came with a crab and prawn mouse - I want the recipe - I would recommend this starter. Fillet steak cooked perfectly - again highly recommended If you want to treat someone you love - treat them to The Regency - they will bemade to feel special!!

Popped in for the first time today 23.8.24. The food was delicious. Good value for money. A variety of choices. Great service. Fab you are dog friendly too. 🐾🐾 Thankyou. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Non LGV driver but I have stopped here a few times with family on our England-Scotland-England journey. Always clean and great food.
