Pedimos pequeñas DQO y chips hoy.El pescado no era bacalao. También había sido congelado. 5) 00 + por un poquito de pescado gris congelado. . viejo eglefino, creo. . y algunas papas empapadas. No hay horquilla disponible tampoco. Pidió sal sin agregar nada. Es una pena, ya que solía ser un buen chippy. Debe haber cambiado de dueño recientemente.Las patatas fritas también eran pobres. Soggy mess tbh.Este lugar ha pasado de ser decente a terrible.Sube un poco por la carretera y consigue un sándwich decente o un rollo, etc. en el garaje de Hills. . Mucho mejor y la mitad del precio.

Went in for a simple fish and chips, fish cooked to order so thought I'd be getting a decent meal, well surprise surprise I didn't, batter was gooey and uncooked near the fish, no flavour in the fish at all, the chips were pale greasey and taste off. Don't even go with the mushy peas. Pity I didn't have a seive with me, that much juice and no peas Definitely definitely not worth the money and if this is number one in the area as it says it is on the till I'd hate to eat at the rest.

Usually my favourite chippy but recently it has gone downhill. Good job the food tastes good because the portion or curry sauce isn't...

Quality fish chips every time we've been! Best chippy in town. Fast service. You can order and pay over the phone, 10 minutes later it's ready to go!

He sido un cliente aquí por muchos años ya que la comida es fantástica. Sin embargo, en un caso, cuando pedí mi pescado y patatas fritas de haber llamado habitual y ordenados los peces en el camino ya que suelen ser cocinados a la orden, cuando vine a comer la pasta era muy difícil como si se hubiera sentado en el rango por un tiempo y no ha sido reciente.Supe que era una, pero la próxima vez que fui pedí salchichas Cumberland en y patatas fritas. Cuando me preguntó por qué no tenía mi pescado y patatas fritas habitual sinceramente me explicó lo que había sucedido la última vez. El director salió y me preguntó qué había sucedido, entonces amablemente dijo que debido a mi mala experiencia no sería pagar por esta comida. El Cumberland y patatas fritas eran fantásticos como siempre y cuando volví de nuevo y tenía mi pescado y patatas fritas eran habituales de nuevo perfecto como de costumbre.Supe que era un y me conocen como cliente habitual, que es la razón por la que este gesto brillante significa mucho y por eso seguiré yendo aquí para el almuerzo. Yo vivo en Carlisle tan a menudo y bastante yo sólo conduzca a través de conseguir mi pescado y patatas fritas y luego ir a casa de nuevo, ya que son muy buenos.

De haber estado en un alojamiento en la zona de penrith, hemos usado este chipshop en varias ocasiones y estamos muy impresionados. La tienda está siempre ocupado, que habla volúmenes de la calidad de la comida y el servicio. Las raciones son enormes y una gran relación calidad-precio. También tienen una amplia selección de comida a lo que normalmente nos dan en casa. Si en la zona en la que vale la pena dar una oportunidad.

Went back to this place for a quick take away lunch. Pretty poor in all respects. Was asked what I wanted from behind the counter could not even see her! Again soggy chips but OK peas. Had to ask for a fork to eat them with though. No brown sauce available and they want 95p for a can of juice! Total rip off. Terrible service and only OK food..don't even bother..this place has gone totally down hill in the last year or so.

Have not been for ages. Fish was OK but soggy batter and over cooked /chewy on the edges.how do they do that? Chips very poor. They must be using poor quality potatoes. IE. Some were acceptable but most had black unpleasant appearance. Not very good. Very over priced too. Cost nearly £6 for a small (they call it medium) fish and chips. Don't bother.

We often visit Town Head Chippy if we are getting a fish supper - the fish is always nice and I often have the battered sausage which is grand :) thoroughly recommended :)

A fairly regular Friday night visit to collect supper for 2. Despite the queues the service is prompt and cheerful. The fish and tray bake pie is always of good quality. The chips are great. Keep it up.

I live locally and will always eat locally I have reviewed this chippy last year giving ig a 5 star rating and the best in penrith but sadly last sunday called in for my usual fish and chips I think the fish had been swimming in thacka it was dry and the batter just stuck to the paper it was that soggy, I also found the staff not as friendly as usual so not sure if they had new staff, so this week my best fish and chips goes to the little chippy in angel lane, so to get your crown back town head get better

Call in most weeks for fish & chips we always find its best to ring up and place your order as it can be very busy with long ques.You do avoid waiting if you place your order in advance as its all cooked fresh and things like the haggis do take a while to be cooked.The price range is set well with good portions ,we find the medium fish is just about the right size for us .If you order large portion of chips it serves two people well.Two medium cod a large portion of chips and a curry sauce set us back £9.40.Great value.

Do eat chips much anymore. But this place was excellent years ago. Decided to go for a chippy lunch on Saturday:) I only wanted a regular portion of chips and a can of pop.I had a jar of pickled onions in the car already. So I thought a small chippy and some picked onions would make a nice lunch treat. Chips looked really nice as they came out of the flyer. Got salt and vinegar. Was charged £2.95 for regular chips and a can. Walked across the street to my car for my luncheon feast!I found the chips a bit weird. Soggy but cooked. Not great flavour either. I think they must use some sort of additive or something on them. So all in all tasteless and bland. A little overpriced too. This chippy has gone down hill since I first went in over 10 years ago. Friendly staff thoughCome on guys its not hard to make decent chips..just go ask the guys at the Kingfisher in Keswick.

No era terriblemente impresionado cuando otra persona entré y colocar una orden delante de mí que tenía una cama esperando pacientemente ... No sirven primero pero fue que tenía lo que quería listo ... si yo necesitaba fresco no habría sido el caso

La amplia selección de cosas para comer es un "fish and chips" tradicional nos encantó la última vez que comimos allí, así que fuimos pasado esperando que estaría abierto y estaba! inusualmente ofrecen tartas de plato basándose en vez de la típica "fish and chips" pero su salchicha de Cumberland atrajo mi atención y no me decepcionó rematado con un toda rota anillo de piña fresca y patatas fritas desde fritos. ... delicioso!

Great. friendly local fish and chip shop. The constant queue of locals waiting for freshly food is the indication of the quality of the food. The fish and chips looked superb, I had Chilly con carne which was lovely and very fresh in feel.

Long queue on Saturday evening at about 7pm which told us everything we needed to know, it had to be good. We both had Fish & Chips, the fish was superb, great batter and a good size accompanied by lots of chips which looked lovely but once on a plate left a little to be desired. There were lots of hard tiny slivers of chip amongst the decent size ones so for us, the rating was average instead of the possible higher one the shop seems to have been given. The staff however were very friendly and quick. We 'may' try it again on a future visit.

It's a very popular place often s big queue but worth the wait the chips are great!!!Fish was also nice too served in A polystyrene tray not traditional paper.

Was recommended so went here to get our lunch. Chips were lovely and fresh, the fish fried to perfection, and my young son loved his sausage. Very tasty. One of the best fish and chip shops in Penrith, and well worth the extra effort to get there.
