Great food and music. But currently not running.

They are so abusive to customers. Swearing and threatening. Do not go to this place, customers should not be treated like this.

Disgusting behaviour. Literally threatening towards customers. DO NOT ORDER FROM ROYAL KITCHEN, CARLISLE.

First time and last time! Ordered 2 lots of salt and pepper chicken and 2 lots of chips for me and my boyfriend I couldn’t even eat the chicken it wasn’t cooked properly the chicken was stringy and slimey the batter wasn’t crisp it was awful horrible after taste the chips were edible if covered in curry sauce won’t be going back 🤮🤮

Been going here for years, phones at 5.30 for a 6.30 delivery..6.45 phones up order on way.7.07 phones up and told again order on its way..7.30 phones up order not cooked when asked why they said because people phoning up and cancelled. I never cancelled I phoned up more than once asking where my order is, the rude lady put the phone down on me..resulting in no food and very hungry kids..

Received a leaflet through the door today, so we thought we would give it a try. The meal deals on the menu seemed good. So I rang the order in, the man was so abrupt on the phone. Thought maybe they were busy so never mind. Went collected the food. The place was empty. Got the food home, to find the Pineapple chicken had the smelliest rancid smell to it. Obviously processed as the “meat” was cut into squares. Definitely inedible. The second chicken dish was Salt and Pepper chicken. The pieces of deepfried chicken looked lovely. Until you cut into them. The “meat” was slimy, not cooked properly and stringy. Again inedible! The rice was tasteless. The chips were soggy and cold. All of it was so greasy. I then rang up the takeaway and told them my findings. I was shouted at,sworn at and the owner didn’t accept any responsibility at all. I said I would take the food back down and require a refund. She was not suited and started shouting in Chinese. In my eyes this is not the way to run a business. Needless to say we will NOT be returning to this takeaway again. And telling family and friends to steer clear. Very disappointing

Not very good food awful could of cut the rice with a knife chips reheats but owners very friendly will not go back.

Both me and my parents use the Royal Kitchen quite often and have to say the food is always excellent, Good portion size and good quality and very tasty,

What a great service and what a great meal will definetly be visiting agaian a good price also well worth it

when having a takeaway at home we always use the royal kitchen the choice is fab and the food is very tasty

We decided to give Royal Kitchen a try after a leaflet came through the door a few months ago and a friend at work recommended it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they are always busy when we are in but there is never a long wait and the wait is always worth it. The food always tastes great and the portion sizes are perfect. We admittedly like a big portion and for the price the portion size is perfect for us (rather big and full of flavour compared to some takeaways which makes this place so good too). Plus I love chicken toast and this is the only place i've known that does it. We've made this our regular take-away choice now as it's been so good. Would highly recomend.

A leaflet came through the door & I thought I'd treat myself, I'm normally boring & order the same from every Chinese takeaway, however, the Stir Fry Garlic Chicken caught my eye, I didn't have any idea what to expect but Wow! What an absolutely fantastic & delicious dish, definitely recommended as are the BBQ spare ribs, I'll definitely 100% be eating from here again!

This is our favourite Chinese takeaway. Order from here at least once a month. Always get a happy meal each for £6. You get a starter and a main course. Then free prawn crackers with delivery. I love their salt and pepper chicken or chicken chow mein. Never had a bad meal

Tried many chinese takeaways in Carlisle and found the Royal kitchen in my opinion the best,consistently good starters and main courses,the pancake rolls to start are the best i have tasted in carlisle,good size portions of traditional quality,i like the chicken in peking sauce,home delivery available at a small cost.also no problem to spice a dish up if you like.

Highly recommend the salt and pepper chips so yummy! We had the set menu for 2 plenty for the pair of us and we are big eaters! Will definitely be back!

Can't speak highly enough of this chinese. Portion sizes are massive and the food is always tasty, no matter what you order. The salt and pepper chips are to die for! New favourite place to order from!
