Jon was incredibly accommodating for a large booking, a lot more so than other places I had enquired with. The Butchers did not disappoint, the staff were friendly and the food was incredible, everyone in our party said how good it was. This place is definitely worth a visit. Thank you so much!

Popped into Saddlers to see what they had for a takeaway picnic lunch to accompany a long Pennine walk. Absolutely amazing choice of savoury mini-quiches, other savouries and cakes. Ended up with the Mediterranean vegetable quiche, the savoury Chelsea bun and a slice of Bakewell Tart. The quiche was delicious - lovely light pastry and packed full of vegetables. The savoury Chelsea bun was uniquely delicious - garlicky, buttery, cheesy and covered with a sprinkling of seeds. You must try this! I saved the Bakewell for later - and it was the best Bakewell I've ever had. Pastry just right - light, crumbly and gorgeous, with just the right proportions of jam and almond. The owners were lovely, there's a great atmosphere in the quirky and stylish interior, and when I'm next in Alston I'll be trying one of the breakfasts, which all looked delicious. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped off for breakfast as we were staying in Shap. Warm and friendly greeting to us and our dogs. Superb quality breakfast cooked fresh to order! Highly recommended

I just tried to order 2 pizzas via their app, which didn't work, then over the Internet on a PC, which also didn't work. When I phoned to try and tell them and order over the phone, I was told no orders could be taken that way and Shap Pizza was so interested in being told that their app wasn't working.....they put the phone down on me! Sorry but we live locally and that isn't impressive.

I hired Laura to be my florist for my wedding and was overwhelmed with how beautiful the flowers that she provided for my and the bridesmaids bouquet , button holes ,and table flowers. The quality and service she gave were brilliant and would highly recommend her.

For no special reason my wife bought a pack of Low Howgill Cross Fell sausage at the Keswick outdoor market. When we arrived home the sausage went into the freezer. Some weeks later we had this thin link sausage for our evening meal. It was 'absolutely delicious'. We are off to Keswick shortly and a must stop-off on our way home will be Low Howgill Butchers for more Cross Fell sausage and whatever else takes our fancy.

Lovely little set up here and my coffee was perfect, especially on a cold weekday morning before getting the train. Would definitely recommend to anyone, never mind just coffee tasting lovers. There was also such a lovely vibe with the music playing and warm set up.

What a find. We have not visited Kirkby Stephen for a while and often found it difficult to find a suitable coffee stop that suits. However that all changed this weekend when we came across Berry Grape & Grain on Saturday afternoon. It was busy to capacity inside, but we able to sit outside which was fine. Everything was perfect - friendly greeting, table ordering and professional service. The best Farrers coffee (best local coffee from Kendal) served in a large cafetiere (probably an insulated one) which kept it really warm, ideal for outside table! Scone was perfect too. With jam and cream! Meals served at other tables looked great too. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful unexpected find in a part of Cumbria that is beautiful but with fewer tea/coffee shops than further westwards. The coffee van was as pretty as a country fair stall, right on Langwathby village green. Excellent coffee, and we took away our sausage bap for lunch up at Long Meg stone circle. Cheerful and friendly service, and much needed toilets available adjacent in village hall (this lovely area is a public toilet desert and I don't do hedgerows)

My expectations were far exceeded when we just stopped off by chance for a meal on the way back from Leighton Moss to Gretna Green. The starter I chose was baked Brie with bread and olives, there was enough for 2 people to share and it was delicious and beautifully served. Both of us chose steak for a main and it was tender and juicy, with huge homemade chips and a lovely salad. Would definitely eat here again if I was in the area.
