Nice breakfast cooked well and clean ideal for truckers been there a couple of times now and same quality both times. Never overnighter there but definitely worth stopping for food

Friendly, helpful staff, food great, toilets and showers very clean, well stocked shop and ample parking. Knocked off one star as the bar was shut and could have really done with a pint on my overnight stay. Apart from that, all good, worth a visit.

No complaints about the quality of the food very tasty, but the portion size for the price, shameful.

Breakfast is cooked from fresh, well worth the wait, well presented,staff very friendly, extensive menu,worth a visit if your are in the Penrith area

I’ve used the truck stop every time I journey from Scotland down south. 2 mins off the M6 at Penrith and soooo much cheaper than motorway service stations. All day breakfasts and other options. A no brainier when travelling on the M6

Pretty simple fare and why not? It's a Truckstop. The menu was somewhat limited, there seemed to be work in progress food and service were very good and the low price excellent.

Called in for a quick snack. A very wide choice available. Wholesome looking place was very clean and staff very pleasant.

This is one of the best truckstops going don't use it much now but when I did it was every night or every other night got to know the staff really well and most still there food always excellent toilets were a bit smelly but this has been felt with as has showers there are less showers now but there a lot better .when I get down that far I always go in and still get a warm welcome .

What a disgusting place to change trailers drivers trucks are their homes this shouldn't be happening

Fist impressions, glad it has a Colditz fence around the site, man in the shop was helpfully, told me what the score was with the receipt, £17 parking, with a shower and £3 nosebag allowance, I had a coffee 2 slices of bread and real butter, 2 large fish cakes chips and peas, all this for £4.99- meal voucher £1.99, first impression very good

First time I have used this truck stop and it won’t be the last. Carrying a high value load I needed security and for this it was second to none. Food is excellent in restaurant and all of the facilities are spotlessly clean. At £17 for overnight stop with £3 food voucher and a shower it will take some beating. The only mild criticism I have is that the bar only sells bottles/cans, there is no draught beer.

This is a good truckstop, good food at good prices, nice clean place to stay and eat. What more do you need?

Always been a favourite truck stop of mine and stop for breakfast on my way to Scotland and park up for the night nice place to relax for the night and good food my only complaint was the squeak on the floor when chairs were moved but think management was planning to sort this worth a visit if your around the area

Easy access and well signposted from a66. Plenty of parking space clean and modern premises. Good showers and good food well worth a visit if passing and need a break. Pleasant staff in both café and shop

just wasted £7 quid on a mixed grill , everything under cooked , onion rings half raw , burger raw , as for chips look like just dipped in fryer and out again , best bet would be to invest in good cooks , it would make you sick

Parked at truck stop last night. Friendly man on desk shower very good. Toillet dirty( cubical and sinks) ordered liver and onion cooked fresh but one rather large bit was under cooked. Full of blood(I eat rare steak) took it back the lady just shrugged her shoulders!

I stayed at this motel recently and thought it provided good value for money, when compared to other budget hotels. It did remind me of university halls of residence, but was also quite charming in its own sort of way. Being next to the motorway it is quite loud and is probably not a great place for a woman to stay.While staying here I also ate at their restaurant, the food is like supersized school dinners - again much cheaper than other service stations. There is also a bar in the motel, with reasonbly priced beer and live sport on the TV.

Motorists hve complained for your about being 'ripped off' at the Motorway Service Areas on the M6. Car owners and their families will find that they are more than welcome at the Penrith Truckstop in Cumbria. This is within three minutes from Junction 40 of the M6. Take the Penrith exit, then turn left at the rounabout for the industrial estate. Drive a few hundred yards and the Truckstop is across the road from the BOCM mill. There is a separate entrance and no charges for car parking. The owners are a large trucking company and they hve provided a friendly and comfortable environment with excellent customer service. There is a restaurant, bar, games room, Free PC with wifi. shop and cash machine. There are 37 compact rooms ranging from basic singles at £22 to en suite twins at £36, plus shower at £2 a time. The restaurant is sparkling clean with flowers, colourful lampshades, and heavy furniture. There is even a high baby chari available. Menus start off with a choice of four breakfasts from £4 - £5 a head, or a more expensive full Scottish breakfast. A luncn of the day menu for £3.99 is even better value, and there are soups, sandwiches scones and cakes. Everything is cooked to order and while it is supposed to be sefl-service, the staff deliver the fresh cooked food from kitchen to table. Eating here is a pleasure compared with Motorway Service Areas and far better value.
