Great little pub staff friendly and locals lovely dog friendly too

Came for lunch after a freezing rainy windy section of the C2C and the staff could not have been more lovely, they lit us a fire to dry our things and fed us very well- cannot thank them enough! Would highly recommend the food too!

Horrendous food, my chicken looked anaemic, bland vegetables and all round no good won’t be returning, over priced for the produce used.

Refused to double cup a dangerously hot medium black Americano which was burning my fingers so I walked away, losing 3.80 but staying safe. I won't be back. My safety is more important. Got a nice black coffee from Greg's instead in a safer cup

A lovely welcome from staff and excellent service. The tea was one of the best I have had . Everything was spotlessly clean and ladies loos with fresh flowers .

Nice coffee served in this shop but the reason I give it a 4 is that the staff here are certainly not the most jolly and at some points they are almost miserable! Not the most welcoming!

If you are the owners of the grey hound ,your staff training is impeccable,here is a word of advice .dont change anything as it is spot on.oh and give the lady serving at breakfast a huge bonus ,as she was extra lovely.i stayed here on a trip to Scotland in 2019 and it was good then.it has had a refurb and things have changed around a bit but we still loved it !

Delivery was very quick and food was hot. Was starting to enjoy our meal but then was very disappointed. Curry was very watery and then to top it off we found a spider inbetween our poppadoms. Needless to say we didnt carry on with our meal. Not good.

Lovely village pub with amazing views of the lake. Popped in for a few beers and grabbed a few nibbles... nice place for a pit stop in the lakes

Stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast. Lovely room, lovely staff and lovely food!. Woukd definable cone again.

Myself and my partner stayed for one night here at Punchbowl inn. We can from Glasgow and were made feel most uncomfortable by the locals in the bar. Whilst we tried to enjoy our drinks. Being out in the middle of nowhere it made me quite uneasy to say the least and ruined our stay as even after the place closed they were hanging around. We were contacted by the manager and promised a free nights stay and dinner if we didn't leave a bad review. Time came we thought we would take up the offer, the condition was we had to stay two nights and pay £120 for one night and would stay the other night free, this wasn't the agreement. Wouldn't recommend.

Really tasty food I love the fast delivery definitely deserves a 5 star

We've had several meals from here. The meals are generally ok but never what you order. Ordered prawn and duck szechuan tonight, no duck in the meal. It was not a szechuan more like dirty water curry sauce. Awful. Won't rush back.

Great stop for going north, quite and plenty of services.

The place was a mess. Food all over the floor, bins overflowing, dirty tables and staff that looked like they couldn't be bothered. Chips were cold with no salt on.
