Costa Coffee in Eden

Possibly the worst Costa I have ever been in longest wait ever then the order was wrong and the 2 girls serving were more interested in talking to each other.

Crap croissant, terrible chai latte. Suggest you go elsewhere for quality.

This was the worst Latte I have ever had. The Chai Latte was not much better. It tasted like water with a hint of coffee and some milk. They were quick on the order and making the drink, but they made bad drinks.

Very rude staff. This is the second time we had a stop here and both times extremely rude.

It was the festive season with a queue to Greggs, running out of food, and no alt milk. Somehow Andrei at the till kept a smile on his face and that of the other staff. Absolutely stellar team who made my day (and an excellent latte too!)

They had barely anything in stock so they weren't able to give us the drinks we wanted on a hot day we are boiling and all we wanted was a simple iced drink this is horrendous

My wife used her Virgin card for 2 cafe lattes a hot chocolate and a peach bubble tea. She was told several times her card had not taken, Cost was £23.65. Because of this my grandson paid the £23.65 with his apple phone banking app. On checking her account today £23.65 has been deducted from her account. At the time my wife did suggest payment had gone through but staff member insisted it had not. On returning from holiday I will take this up further as it is totally unsatisfactory.

Stopped at 7:40am on a Saturday morning. 4 behind the counter. I was the only person in the queue and stood for 5 min waiting to be served. One chatting to a Gregg’s staff member. One watching videos on a mobile and the other 2 doing nothing. Coffee wasn’t great and had that burnt taste.

Only one young girl on alone at 11:25am she looked very flustered, I noticed that the 2 girls that were eventually serving weren’t asking ppl about costa cards or trying to upsell

Rude and ignorant barrista. Having placed my order I struggled to get the app scanned and was unsure if it actually worked. I then tried paying with contactless payment which wasn't accepted so reverted to using my pin. I got confirmation that the payment was processed. The barrista then said I hadn't paid which I explained what had happened and that the machine said the payment was approved. She flashed a receipt infront if me saying 'well it hasn't gone through so you need to do it again'. As it was getting busier I chose to accept her word and paid AGAIN. I left the services with my 2 large lattes and once back on the road confirmation from my bank that I had indeed paid twice. £18.60 for 2 luke warm coffees was the result of my visit. Since then I have emailed Costa and also tried ringing them today to get a message that they are sorry but their phones are down. Coincidence or is this their demise? If the person I dealt with is reflective of the staff at head office then I am guessing nothing will come of this.......but just be aware of this Costa.

Terrible behaviour of staff members. We ordered two festive coffees and when asked why it doesn’t look like the pictures on the menu with foam or sprinkles we were told ‘you got what you paid for, if you want another one you have to pay for it.’ There is no excuse for being rude to people. Not recommended.

Ordered a latte at 2am in the morning last Thursday. The staff member was very rude and rushed my coffee. Was a waste of £4.50. Never going there again.

Staff overfilled my small latte so much that when I got back to my car to drink it I took the lid off to stir it and the extremely hot coffee spilled over and scalded my hand and leg. I had to jump out of the car door to get the coffee off my leg. Not a great thing to happen in the middle of a journey and I’m glad it wasn’t my child’s hot chocolate drink as it would’ve ended up a hospital visit! The coffee was poor quality when I was brave enough to drink it 10 minutes later. Not worth the money and now the added expense of a potential car valet tomorrow too as it landed over the passenger seat and footwell! Do better Costa!!!!

Visited on afternoon of Sunday 11th September. I had low expectations and even those were not met. Disinterested staff with very very, very slow service. Near overflowing sink suggesting poor maintenance and hygiene and coffee that was just ... off ... and ended up pouring away. Should have stepped out of the queue and kept going north.

Unpatient staff. Not pay attention to customers. I ordered only two things and I have got something else. 😔 Parking places are very tight. Toilet is very dirty.

Not the best Costa around, given a small cappuccino and charged medium, place inundated with insects, my advice drive on

Didn't stop long here. Service was quick and prompt with inside seating. Staff were friendly and quick to serve

I'm sure this isn't everyone's experience at this particular costa. But sadly today my mocha was awful, tasted bad, smelt worse and sadly I was already back on the motorway before I tasted it (cheers face masks). Put the lass off her drink too as I had her taste mine to check. Sure it was a fluke, but you asked and I shall tell!

As usual my Costa hot chocolate and lemon muffin, mid afternoon, hits the spot just right, perks you up and makes you feel like a new woman. So thank you so much costa, I know,it's me and you time,the moment I walk through the door.

Have always found the staff friendly with great service here, even when busy and under pressure, they are aware and apologetic if you have had to wait.

When I asked to have my cappuccino in a normal cup I was told I could only have a takeaway cup... This was despite numerous customers sitting and using cups in the seating area.. Not Impressed to say the least.

Great service & coffee at 6am this morning from blue hair lady, they staff aren’t usually very nice at this one.

The waitress had a bit of an attitude because I wanted my drink in a mug instead of a take away cup. Usually you get asked at any Costa “sitting in or take away?”. My guess is this pure laziness so they don’t have to wash a mugs, so they don’t ask people. When I politely say “can I have it in a mug please” , I don’t expect attitude.

Best hot chocolate I have had from a Costa so far. Staff where friendly it was clean and tidy and plenty of places to sit down inside.

I was sleepy and wanted to use app as i had free coffee. They are franchise and do not accept but very frendly and polite girl did not charge me and gave me flat white for free. Excellent service. Thx

Very disappointed with the dishwater coffee/latte. Sat down at a table and found it was sticky. Won't bother going back again.

(Am reviewing the whole northbound services, not Costa at all)... There was at least less queuing than last week, at 11:30am Saturday. 👍 Burger King was grossly overpriced, at £10 for a standard Bacon Double Cheeseburger meal + onion rings, but then they wanted 20p extra for BBQ sauce! 👎👎 Greggs had no hot food, bacon rolls are 'morning only' so they stopped serving them at 11am, the cheese & onion pasties were cold as they don't do 'hot holding'. 🤦🏻‍♂️👎👎 Not stopping there again for food.

Served by someone who was more interested in their phone and acted like I was inconveniencing them for asking for a coffee. Coffee taste awful, like second hand coffee grounds.

I would rate the hot water with sugar as one of the worst Coffees I have ever tried to drink. That and the inability to take a £50 note in payment result in a rating of one star.

coffe taste like it was made with very bad water, maybe never boilt. And they stopped serving my porrige, instead offered microwaved porrige which is a horrible. Franlly they ruined my day. They shouldnt be allowed on motorways!!!!!!

Now this is going to be the worst experience ever at Costa be far too much. The lady who served me at 1 am seem to be working everywhere. Firstly had to wait like ten minutes to be served as she was busy donig paper work. Once i got severed there were some guys who had a drink and she had to start on them to keep quite and she left my order half way to go and sort some kind of alarm in the gaming shop, really,? Then when she came and started my order so she had to start again on them and for me to wait another 5-8 minutes to be served with coffee as she was busy screaming at them. I can't work it out why she was working everywhere.
