Lakeside Inn in Eden

We have been to Center park whinfell four times now but had not dined at the Lakeside inn before so thought we would book and try. The meal was delicious!. Homely food and the ambience was warm and welcoming and family orientated . Our Grandson ordered the burger came with a salad and fries and thoroughly enjoyed he didn't fancy a roast but the adults got the carvery and what a great meal this was plenty of vegetables and pork, beef or chicken with all the trimmings very good value. Just a shout out to the staff they are patient and attentive.well done. We shall be returning soon.

Really great experience, enjoyed the view next to lake. Efficient service, we have SEN child and i was praying it would be efficient first and foremost and good food a bonus. The burgers really were lovely. I asked for the bill before our child lost the plot and staff were happy to bring that along speedily. Really happy, you don’t know what it means to us to have this lovely experience, we really appreciate it and our son age 5 was happy in the relaxed ambience. Child friendly and autism friendly i would say. Staff seemed to care.

Our first time trying the Lakeside Inn on our second trip to Whinfell, and it was excellent. Our group was greeted and shown to the table we'd booked, a high chair and crayons, etc. were already waiting at the table for us. Our waiter (Irvine) was straight over and looked after us during our stay. Everyone enjoyed their meals: Fish & Chips - Good-sized fish with no skin on and a nice crispy batter, which wasn't greasy. Steak, ale, and mushroom pudding - very hearty and flavoursome, plenty of gravy and veg. Bacon cheese burger - A really good-sized, flavoursome patty cooked perfectly with some excellent smoky bacon, gherkins, cheese, etc. (Possibly the best dish that they've eaten at CP to date). Cumberland Sausage - A good portion, flavoursome Cumberland sausage ring, creamy mash (could have been more mash), and a good hearty gravy (could have been a tad thicker). Chicken Nuggets & Chips - Wee one enjoyed them, the nuggets could probably have done with another minute or two to crispen the breadcrumbs. Overall, some good hearty pub scran. Pricey, however, no ones forcing you to buy it!

Stop by for a drink while having a walk round the park, only had the 1 round of drinks as a glass of Cortigiano Prosecco was £12.50…. That’s expensive guys. Considering you can bring alcohol into the park, if you want people to spend money in the pub make it reasonable.

Bottles of wine definitely on the expensive side for what they are but everything else is very good here. Food was served hot and fresh despite us being a party of 12 . 3 steaks cooked perfectly and all differently cooked.steak pudding was very good and dessert good too.Add to that the excellent service throughout and this was by far the best dining experience we had at centerparcs whinfell.

Visited on the last evening of our Centre Parcs trip. We were looking forwards to the carvery having been there two years ago. This time you could choose two meats from a choice of beef, pork and chicken. At our previous visit you could choose all three if you wanted. The roast potatoes were good but the number served varied and none of us received the same amount. The yorkshire puddings were huge but some had obviously been under the heating lamps as they were very dry. There was a good choice of vegetables but no mashed or boiled potatoes. We all enjoyed our desserts. In our opinion the food was not as good as on our previous visit and so left feeling slightly disappointed.

Family visit during our CP stay. The service was decent but the food quality is not good at all. 3 adults ate here for dinner. All had main and desert. Nothing was good. We all said it was edible but wouldn't go back. Menu choice is pretty limited. Chicken burger was so bland. Steak and mushroom pudding again pretty bland. Pastry was terrible.gravy so watery and veg was boiled peas and Carrots. Chips were nice. (£4.95 per portion though.!) The raspberry and white chocolate meringue was vile. Sticky toffee pudding was meh. It's CP so everywhere is a bit pricey but for the quality of food here for the price it's a complete rip off.

After reading reviews was a little worried about the quality of food and since everywhere in centre parcs is so expensive you have to consider these things… For starters the staff were really nice and attentive and great with the children. The menu is very small with some odd options we thought. HOWEVER… the food was great! The kids enjoyed theirs and we thought it looked better quality than usual kids chicken nuggets in a pub. Half the adults got the burgers and not a single complaint, tasted fresh, generous portion crispy chips. The other adults got the fish- the batter was perfect, really big bits of fish really tasty and plenty chips. We were more than impressed with it all. Desserts were good too. Like everywhere in Centre Parcs it is a tad over priced but we found it better value than most places and really great restaurant for families!

Hi been at centre parks this week, visited lakeside in four times for various meals, all fantastic, the quality is outstanding, staff are professional and very helpful. Duty manager on Thursday lunchtime agreed the burger from the menu is so good that it is not n the staff menu. Can't wait to go back to next year. 10/10

We’ve always been to the Lakeside Inn for a drink while at Center Parcs. This visit we decided to dine with them on our second evening. My partner started with the Mushrooms on Toast which were really lovely. However, our mains weren’t the best. The beef burger was like something you’d get off a burger van not £20 worth at all. Fish and chips average. However, really really good service. Our Server was Hollie. Super friendly and nothing was an issue, keep the good work up! Thank you for really good service to end our evening. 🎉💓

The haggis was nice (well his name was really Angus but we found it funny). We also gave him a £17 tip - if he didn’t put this in the tip box he took off with it!!! I love haggis, he deserves a pay rise

Me and my family went in for the carvery and at first the meat looked pretty good under the light of the food warmer, but as soon as it went on our plates it looked absolutely disgusting, the beef was blood red, the pork was 90% fat 10% meat, the gravy was like bog water and the roasties were raw. my daughter did not want most of the trimmings due to her being very particular with her food and the chef kept mocking her for not wanting any yorkshire puddings, roasties or stuffing balls which really upset her. Out of 8 of us, 2 of us enjoyed the meal and it was the only 2 people that did not have a carvery. Also the mashed potatoes had a strong taste and smell of cheese when we asked for a completely plain portion. But atleast our waitress was lovely, can’t say the same about the food or the chefs

Well I was going to review this small bistro but it's seems pointless as the previous reviews are perfect in there description, terribly rude guy on entrance like a kind of 5 foot fake french extra from ello ello the arrogance of a michelin star restauranteur, this place serves toby carvery food if you can get it they even struggle on cooking pizzas avoid unless it's your last choice even then you maybe turned away. Kitchen to small for the amount of tables covered, avoid.

Pre-booked a family meal for the last night of our holiday. Husband ordered the steak and mushroom pudding, which had a sharp piece of plastic in it. He's lucky he never cut his mouth or swallowed this. All they offered was for him not to pay for his meal (he didn't eat it after chewing the plastic anyway!) poor customer service and will not be back.

Best breakfast on the site. Staff were amazing, food was fabulous and less expensive than other places .Dogs in with us, refreshing as rest of site dog tolerant not friendly. Free baby food too, nice touch.

The staff are very friendly and nice but the food is very very average and ludicrously expensive. £17 for a cheeseburger is taking the you know what. I could understand it if it was a burger made with 100% beef but this was one of those processed ones that taste pretty bland. The chips were pretty ordinary too. The drinks are equally expensive and the glass of Merlot I had tasted rather weak. Unfortunately at Center Parcs you are a captive audience so they can serve up what they like and charge what they want. Altogether a decidedly average meal made acceptable by the very nice staff.

The food was average. My Daughter and I had the Carvery. Whilst the server at the Carvery was absolutely lovely, the food was Luke warm. What's with the 10%wine Merlot. Did they get bargain basement cheap wine in bulk. Usually Merlot is 13%. They added £13. Service charge.

We recently visited The Lakeside Inn for an evening meal. We were served by Cathryn who was warm, friendly & helpful. The service was second to none & nothing was a problem for Cathryn. She is a credit to the restaurant team.

We was in lakeside inn 7-6-24. The service and food was lovely and me and my family enjoyed it. We have booked for centre parc winfell for June next year. And we will be dining in the lakeside inn again.

We ate here one night during our holiday and it was awful. The menu choice was really limited so I opted for the fillet steak which was over-cooked and under-seasoned. The peppercorn sauce tasted of cheap cooking oil and my sister's bearnaise sauce had split. We ordered a side of mixed veg, which were tasteless and watery. When the food arrived, my son decided he wanted a side of bread and butter but we couldn't get anyone's attention to order, so went to the bar to order instead where most of the staff were stood chatting. We then waited ages for it to arrive, having to go back to the bar and collect it ourselves (it was there, but no one had thought to bring it over). Finally the kids ordered dessert, which came without any cutlery and again we had to go and sort this out ourselves. I could forgive some of the service issues if they were busy, but it wasn't, the servers seemed more interested in chatting than looking after their customers. The rubbish food is unforgiveable though, especially with the prices they charge. It's a shame because the location is excellent and this could be a wonderful pub, but the limited menu and quality of the food really let it down. We won't be coming back.

We ate here the week before the second lockdown came into effect. The food was good, slightly basic and portions a tad small. The burger bun was just a plain flat floury cheap bun, it could have been spruced up a little to make it seem more exciting. The food prices were decent, drink prices were expensive, which is only to be expected from a Center Parcs. The atmosphere was also a little dull, it lacked the coziness of a British pub as it was sparse and cold feeling. The staff however were lovely, helpful and attentive.

This place is like a pretend pub - it kind of looks like one but is lacking in any sort of soul or ambience which makes a British pub great. The food was fine, adequate. The steak was small and uninspiring but the sweet potato fries were excellent.They don't have any local beers which is a disappointing. Felt like a canteen. The one bright spot was the staff. Our waiter Cat was excellent. He made us feel so welcome and was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great service and good food. We had fish n chips and bacon cheeseburger. Much better burger than the one at Hucks! Nothing to complain about.

We had eaten lunch late due to Hucks serving slowly, so asked for something lighter on the menu which they didn't have. So if you're watching the calories, no chance of anything light here, no salad, and lighter bites served until 4pm only. So we just had a starter each whilst kids had nuggets and meatball pasta. My daughter didn't like the meatballs they were hard and when my husband tasted one he said it was too full of basil which she didn't like. My soup was tepid as was my husbands mushrooms. We told them at the end and was told that the usual chef wasnt in and that the kitchen staff had had to step up to cooking. We got money knocked off the bill.

We haven't eaten a meal here but we went in for drinks after cycling around. The staff were lovely - Josie and Jack. Very attentive

Tuvimos una visita muy decepcionante durante nuestra estancia en Whinfell Forest esta semana. Cuando llegó nuestra comida, faltaban las comidas de los niños. El camarero admitió que se había olvidado de pasar las comidas con el resto del pedido, lo cual era bastante justo, ocurren errores. Cuando llegaron las comidas de los niños, el pollo todavía estaba congelado en el medio. Pedimos hablar con el gerente, quien nos dijo que el pollo le parecía bien. ! ! Nos prometieron nuevas comidas para los niños, sin embargo, cuando terminamos de comer, todavía no habían llegado. Terminamos saliendo con 2 niños muy hambrientos. Nos dijeron que no nos cobrarían por la comida de los niños. . . . . ¡demasiado bien, ya que nunca habíamos recibido una comida bien preparada para ellos! ! Evitaremos el Lakeside Inn en futuras visitas a Whinfell.

Since my last visit to lakeside inn 18 months ago it was good that they had some vegan options (although limited) now in their menu, on my last visit there was nothing.

La comida llegó tibia y las papas estaban cerca de rocas no comestibles, ya que todo había sido preparado y recalentado a pedido.Parece que no estábamos solos con nuestras quejas, ya que otras 2 mesas se habían quejado de la larga espera mientras cenábamos.Agradecemos que existan ciertas restricciones, que pueden dar razones para algunos problemas iniciales, pero esto fue pura incompetencia, ya que todos los demás restaurantes a los que asistimos en esta visita tenían menos personal, más comensales y un desempeño sobresaliente en comparación.Mi crítica se basa en la mala calidad y el servicio esta vez en comparación con la excelente comida y el servicio disfrutado en años anteriores.

great food and service , sat at socially distanced tables ,all the food was very well cooked and tasty the beef and ale pudding was very large and tasty , burgers were also great worth a visit also did eat out to help out so we got it at half price bargain

Came here for some lunch and one of our party turned up late so he ordered a drink with our meal order! The drink never came until after we had finished the meal and the next round of drinks we ordered took another 25 minutes to come! We asked one of the waitresses several times for the drinks and she didn’t seem very accommodating and just seemed to brush our request for the drinks off! Also don’t get the ham egg and chips. Weather was good though! Shame the service was poor because the setting is good and the other party said the food was relatively okay!

Beautiful setting on the lake was let down with such a poor menu with below average quality of food. The great location deserves much better quality

We moved here from the Dreadful BrackenRigg inn after a really bad experience with the staff and disgraceful premises. Food is amazing and comfortable surroundings Bliss

We provoked and ordered a car very meal for 4 people. I have seen reviews saying it is expensive - three courses for £20? I think it’s cheap. The car very was fabulous - really big meat portions and exceptional vegetables etc. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We would certainly go if at Whinfell again.

Freindly staff. Drinks very expensive even soft drinks. Carvery priced at top prices, but nice food.

Really helpful and friendly staff, there are some familiar faces we've seen over the years! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

We prebooked a table online for Lakeside Inn, you get your deposits refunded when paying. This was our first time visiting, I didn’t visit with high expectations, but our visit did exceed them. I went for the carvery for my evening meal, the carvery is £13.99 for one course, 2 courses for £17.99 or 3 courses for £19.99. This is fantastic value. My starter was the double baked cheddar cheese and chive soufflé with salad. My boyfriend had crispy garlic prawns with lemon and chipotle mayonnaise (£7.69) for his starter, his main was fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce for £12.39. I went up to get my carvery and the chef said you have a choice of 3 meats, beef, gammon or pork, he said I could have all three if I wanted. I just went for the gammon and pork. He gave me generous servings, about 3/ 4 slices of each meat. The Yorkshire puddings were massive, I had one of those and the rest you can help yourself to, including stuffing balls, roast potatoes, carrots, cauliflower cheese and different sauces (wholegrain mustard, English mustard, apple sauce, mint sauce, horseradish and redcurrant jelly.) The gravy was a perfect consistency, not too thin and not at all lumpy. I was so impressed by the generous portions of the meat, and the taste of the rest of the food, I went up to compliment the chef after I had finished. He said this was appreciated.My drink was a hot chocolate (£3.59) with a flake (59p) My boyfriend had a stowford press cider (£5.69)The restaurant was fairly quiet, there were a few other parties in but it was by no means busy. The staff who took our orders and fetched our food over were very pleasant.We were both impressed with our meals and I would come again next time we stay in Whinfell.

We had the car very option which was expensive for the limited food there the meats were overcooked but the desserts were good and kids portions were a good size but when you can get a carvery 5 miles down the road for £10 and they want £18 it sticks in the throat a little especially when there is double the choice and the meat was better cooked and had more variety. I’ve never been to a carvery that didn’t serve gammon ever.

My wife and I decided to have a Carvery but were unimpressed that the meat and vegetables were cold.

Reservamos una mesa para dieciséis de nosotros mientras nos alojábamos en Center Parcs para celebrar mi cumpleaños, la mayoría de nosotros fuimos a la comida de carvery y no nos decepcionó, fíjate que el pescado y las patatas fritas recibieron algunos golpes. El personal no podría haber sido más amable y muy atento. Sin duda recomendaríamos este establecimiento a amigos y familiares. Bien hecho, a todos los interesados

We enjoyed our meal it was very nice. We felt that the bar staff were a little miserable and could do with some customer service training.

Este es un pub de aspecto encantador especialmente para ir a tomar una copa. Estábamos sentados en una mesa pero nos desalojaron porque no estábamos comiendo sino solo una bebida. Habiendo hablado con algunos miembros del personal, nos informaron que han recibido numerosas quejas de los miembros del público con respecto a que casi no hay áreas de descanso para tomar una copa. Sin embargo, la alta gerencia se niega a escucharlos, esto es realmente desalentador ya que claramente no están interesados en sus clientes. Teniendo en cuenta que ya habíamos gastado nuestro dinero en un restaurante anterior de Center Parcs, este es un MAL SERVICIO AL CLIENTE.

Loved the venue, we got a great table right on the lake.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids, and couldn't fault the place at all. The staff were attentive and, crucially, kind and conversational with us and our children, which goes a long way.

They were fully booked but fitted us in , food was very good staff very nice. If you book ask for window seat, great view of the lake.

We ate here one evening of our stay. My wife and I had the carvery which was very tasty and a good choice too. It was very busy though and we felt a little cramped in but the food was good.

Fairly average pre-prepared food and overpriced. Service was good but waited a long time for dessert.

Service isn't great here. Quite slow and dont serve in order of who was at the bar first, serve the pushiest customer first! Over priced for pub food. Tried to be something is wasnt and the cheese tart I had was tasteless. Waited for our meals to arrive before the person in our party got their carvery and had to wait ages for someone to come and serve us even though the staff kept looking and saw us waiting. Poor choice of meat, only beef, pork and gammon this time. Wont be rushing back.

Good if you have the carvery, portion sizes are generous so good value for money but not much selection on the rest of the menu which is fairly pricey. Soft play area for kids is a good bonus and customer service is very good.

2 adults and 4 teenagers tired and hungry last night after a full day of activities to be served with shocking dried up food. In particular I ordered grilled salmon, arrived burnt and that dry it crumbled!! chips had obviously been cooked at lunchtime then reheated, even the cooked tomato garnish was dry as a bone. Needless to say it wasn’t eaten and sent back to be deducted of the bill. Husbands pie was dry and the kids Cumberland sausage was a small straight sausage? they’d obviously run out of curly Cumberland? £120 food bill for 6 below standard meals, I honestly don’t know how you had the audacity to serve them In that state! Would NEVER go back!

We had a good family meal at the Lakeside Inn, the only fault was that we asked for a steak to be cooked medium and it was clearly rare. The carvery was great.

Really good food - my mum had the carvery and really enjoyed it. Kids menu was good also which is important in family holiday spot.

We only went for the Sunday carvery and the food was very nice. Minor issue was no mashed potatoes but that is the only fault with the food.

Center Parcs really need to do something about this dreadful eating establishment. The location by the lake is lovely and it really should be a lovely place to eat. The staff try their best but there seems to be no leadership or direction. The layout is chaotic and ordering at the bar takes ages. The real disaster though is the food. It is just awful. Piling things in a stack doesn’t make it good! Awful pie with soggy mash and mushy peas piled on top was nearly edible. Garlic prawns were a stodge of deep fried breadcrumbs with a smidgen of garlic and prawn hiding inside it. Ham hock terrine was straight out of the fridge and served with shrivelled slices of onion.

Family meal and also grandsons birthday . Had the carvery but was run of the mill . I had beef and got plenty meat. - Only choice of three, beef, gammon and pork which misses out the popular chicken or Turkey choice. Do cater for vegetarians though which is a plus. But did do the birthday cake shout out for 7 year old grandson who was sooo happy about it. . Drinks dear too . .

Very good service. Staff really lovely. Food good. Didn't have to wait too long inbetween. Staff attentive.

We all went for the Sunday carvery while at Whin fell forest ,meal was great although quite expensive

Called in this pub for a Sunday afternoon drink, it had just started raining however we were advised that for a drink only it was sit at the very end of the bar (3 of us and 2 stools), or sit by the kids soft play in a tiny areA (we left the kids at home for a reason), or sit outside (in the rain).

The lakeside in was quite expensive for a drink. A coffee was £3.39. The menu wasn’t anything exciting but it was lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Booked here for our last night and we were greeted by a great softplay area which my son loved. We managed to get a seat just outside it so he played for an hour while we chilled before dinner . I ordered their new Gin/Prosecco cocktail and it was lovely and great value for money. The staff were really accommodating and we ordered our dinner and when it was ready they gave us a shout which meant our son could play until the very last second. The meal itself was lovely and would definitely go back

Think we seemed to get the venue on a good day, everyone had different meals and really enjoyed them. Wasn't anything spectacular but good food with friendly service goes a long way. I had the hot beef ciabatta with a side of chips-yummy.

Found the service here great. Jordan was really nice when we first arrived and provided good conversation.

We had booked for tea on the 8th June. Got told that our table can be used up to 2 hours. We had been at our table for 1hr 40mins and we were being badgered to hurry up as they needed our table. To be honest the reason we were still on the table as 15 mins before I had tried to pay the bill but the tills had went down also the table behind us had to get an ambulance called. The time the paramedics arrived it was awkward for us to get up and get in the way of the paramedics doing their job. Menu is very limited esp for vegetarians. The kids menu had more choice like macaroni etc if u like carvery then might b good for u but if not there are not much other good options on the menu. Needs better customer service too. The fact we were being rushed when we still had 20 mins left of our 2 hours and there were clearly reasons why we couldnt just up and leave. Would’t go back to eat here.

Food was ok, portion sizes ok, slow service but were warned there were some big tables which may delay the food, food quality very average but very expensive.

Food lovely but very limited and I personally struggled to pick something. I asked if I could have something off the lunch menu, of which they agreed. I would suggest combining lunch and evening menu and please add burgers to menu 👍

We visited last weekend with a large party of people the place was quite empty for a Friday night we all were excited for a carvery from our long drive however o seeing the carvery it looked like it had been out all day. So we opted out and tried menu.

We went for our last night. It was crowded and the menu choice was poor. We had to order food and drink at the bar. It felt like a Wetherspoons rather than a nice restaurant at Centre Parcs. Not impressed!!

Lovely setting but nowhere to sit if you just want a drink. Was told to sit outside or we would have to have something to eat. This was O.K. but it was raining and although there was umbrellas the sits were wet.

Called in for a glass of wine and a beer and sat outside overlooking the lake. Staff were friendly and offered a sample taste when we were stuck for choice. Whole place was immaculately clean (including the toilets) inside and out. Perfect place to sit in the sun and watch the water sports and a new family of ducklings for an hour.

Have dined here on several occasions but feel that the menu choice could be better. One of the family members is gluten and I think he had two choices. Sunday lunch was good. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar which gets hectic and they could do with superset ordering/paying stations.

We had the carvery, very nice. Drinks are a little pricey. Staff are friendly and polite. Best to book the restaurant online before your stay

Mixed response to the meal here. Service was reasonable. Menu choice was limited beyond the carvery. Kids menu was good.

We had originally booked the conservatory for our group of 13 on Easter Sunday, but thankfully there was availability on the outside decking area to enjoy the beautiful weather. The 2 and 4 year old in our group enjoyed the soft play and watching the birds. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy. The carvery was nice, but steak and ale pie not so much.

Laura Hetherington has been by far the best manager during our stay at Center Parcs. Laura went out of her way to ensure our visit was pleasureable. Food intolerances were dealt with perfectly. Great service and friendly.

Carvery was delicious and reasonably priced. Spacious eating area. Soft play to keep kids occupied..

Poor choice carvery, twice the price of Toby's. Decent quiz on a Saturday night. Center Parcs vouchers as prizes.

Reservamos el Lakeside Inn cuando hicimos nuestra reserva en Centerparcs. Honestamente, reservamos esto porque no pudimos entrar en Hucks, que era nuestra opción preferida, pero pudimos conseguir una mesa para los 8 de nosotros. 1 de la fiesta era un niño de 3 años, así que comió nuggets de pollo, papas fritas y guisantes para niños y parecía feliz con eso. Todos teníamos entrantes que eran bastante buenos. Sin embargo, aquellos de nosotros que tuvimos el carvery (4 de nosotros) no lo encontramos muy bien. No había mucha variedad de verduras o salsa, aunque sí una buena selección de carnes, pero toda la comida no estaba muy caliente y eso nos echó a perder para todos nosotros. También era bastante caro en nuestra opinión y no lo recomendaría a otros. Si la comida hubiera sido más caliente y con más opciones, le habría dado una estrella extra. Hubiéramos preferido otra salida para esta comida, pero no pudimos obtener ni siquiera reservarla con meses de antelación. No volvería a probar el Lakeside de nuevo.

Don't place too much weight on what the app tells you. We were told on the app that there were no seats left on the evening we wanted but there were plenty. We went up in person and booked for six of us with no problem. The menu is great and the sift play area is a bonus.

Derek the carvery chef on the 9th of April at 8pm at the lakeside made our night. He made the kids at ease. He melted the ladies knees. Service with a smile. Roast dinners to die for. Totally recommended.

There aren't a great deal of options for food at center parcs. Went for a carvery here at a cost of £13.50. You can only get one plate and the quality of the food was totally average, bland pork as well as Yorkshire. Pint of lager costs around £4.50-£5.25 which is ridiculous. I wouldn't bother for the cost, it was ok.

Reservé carnes asquerosas, enfermas de papas fritas, etc. El hijo tenía sobresalientes. Podrían servirse los adornos. Después de un largo día de natación, obtuve dinero que merecía la pena preguntarle si su hijo podría tener dos yorkshires, ya que no le gustan todas las verduras. No hay quejas carne de buena cantidad justa estándar servido, todo lo demás decente y caliente. Creo que el hijo tiene un postre en el trato. Todos lo disfrutamos.

Visitamos la orilla del lago como un grupo numeroso, todos muy contentos con nuestras comidas, tienen un menú específico sin gluten y hay carvery disponible como sin gluten. El único problema era que si usaban harina de maíz en la salsa de coliflor y queso, los clientes de GF pudieran comerla. También tenía opciones de postre gf. Estaba delicioso. El juego suave es genial para los niños. Sin duda volveremos.

Ordered fillet steak. When served, the steak was very small but also very thick, and had been flame grilled, leaving thick black charred lines across it. When eating it, I didn’t like the burnt taste, so asked a passing waitress if I could have a steak that hasn’t been flame grilled. She said she’s soeak to the chef, so I continued to eat the onion rings and fries that came with it. Waitress then came back and, whilst I was eating the fries on the plate, said the chef will cook it differently but she’ll need my plate back. I was clearly eating the other food on the plate.. the charred steak was sitting to the side. I suggested she put the new piece of steak on a separate plate. I myself would have simply apologised and served a new portion, no questions asked. Alas, the waitress walked away, and then followed Laura, another staff member, who said “is there a problem with the steak?”. I had already explained the problem, and was told they would cook one differently, but I explained this again to an apparently annoyed Laura, who responded asking for my plate back. I asked why do you need this plate? I am eating the onion rings and fries. She was leaving over me and pointed down in my plate, to the charred meat, saying “you can’t eat that unless you want to pay for it”. What?!

Well what can you expect from a Centre Parcs meal? Be a bit surprised, excellent hosting from bar to table staff. Great Carvery - worth every penny and also the prawns are a good starter. Don't be put of with the chemical smell in the foyer, it smells a bit like baby wipes - the bar is large and the range of drinks is good. Nice seating area outside and also some tables looking out onto the lake.

We loved the Lakeside Inn. The view onto the lake is pretty much enough to keep you there in a sunny afternoon, but the relaxing atmosphere and the kids play area just tops it off. Food is everage pub food, but was more than adequate for snack for adults and kids as well. Staff very friendly and helpful all through.

Our night started off fantastically. We arrived and was greeted by a very chirpy lady and shown immediately to our table. A slight queue at the bar to order but it is half term holidays after all, so this was to be expected.

We pre booked our table for Sunday evening which was £5 and deducted off our final bill. We were shown to our table and chose the carvery which we ordered at the bar . We were not disappointed with lovely choice of Ham, pork or beef, huge yorkshire pudding and lots of potatoes, vegetables and sauces. Excellent service and food.

Went in for early dinner. Staff very friendly, food decent. Bit expensive, but your are on site at centre parcs. The dining area was clean but seemed to lack atmosphere with bright lighting and gave a canteen type of feel to the place.

Having just arrived in CP on a Monday afternoon we thought a nice hot drink in here would be a good way to start, and our wee boy could run around in the soft play area. I asked for a mocha, and to be fair it’s not on the menu, but the staff were willing to try. I wish they had just said no tbh - 2 efforts were absolutely disgusting and I couldn’t drink either of them. I was too embarrassed to ask for a third. A mocha isn’t a super strong coffee with a spoonful of chocolate powder in it. Of note the soft play area needs a serious vacuuming and the baby changing room doesn’t have any way of washing your hands!!! That’s just not acceptable. Not a great first impression for CP at all I’m afraid.

A good pub menu, very good children's menu & of course the carvery option. An enjoyable meal with good service. Very busy early on so book if you have young children.

Got a table - but in the line of the draft caused by the door constantly being opened - very cold place to be.

Couldn't get a table, no one managing front of house or table allocation. Ended up being a scrum for tables between large hen and stag groups, NOT suitable for children.
