McDonald's in Eden

Several tables were messy and cluttered... The food was to the usual McDonald's standard. Service was quick. I was there late and the parking was easy.

Some staff are excellent! They are so nice! And here comes 5-6 staff who should go to elementary school to learn how to behave. No politeness, waste time gossiping, if you ask them anything, they avoid it.

The food is ok here, but the drive thru wait time is just frustrating a long with the poor layout, single lane and queues that are caused on the main road. A common theme on McDonald's restaurant designsp

They never seem to be able to get your order right here, i get its a very easy job to get and this will mean the staff aren’t very qualified however this should not affect the customer experience when recieving there order incorrectly

Probably the worst Mcdonalds I've ever been. The wife's burger was cold and when question it was told it was cooked that way. My coffee was only luke warm, the usual Mcdonalds trick one person makes the drinks 5 minutes before the food is ready so you end up with just warm coffee. Gents toilets not great, wonky taps no soap in one of the dispensers (only two) and the hand dryer not working. We won't be rushing back

Stopped by for a meal with my dad on the way to Scotland. Most packed I've ever seen a McDonald's given the place is tiny, let alone the parking. Given the amount of people, we got our food relatively quickly, so props to the staff. Food was very meh, Coke was alright though compared to McDonald's I've been. Ruins across the road if you are into that kind of thing,unfortunately we didn't have a look.

Every single time we visit we end up with something missing from the drive through order, how difficult can it be to check an order? There's no chance of your food looking like the adverts on the TV as you don't actually get it in your bag!!! Absolute waste of time.

Absolutely terrible restaurant inside is dirty food quality is terrible half my chicken mayo was mayo and that’s if they even give you the right food or you get it at all they forget food and sauces in every order don’t fill the drinks properly and always take ages

Placed order at 8.40 with expected delivery 9.20. Food didn't arrive till 11.30 considering breakfast stops at 11. Food was stone cold and went straight in the bin.

Very nice. Very hot and fresh . Not many macdonalds do you get this but always this one you do.

It's one of the worst McDonald's we have ever been in. Full of youths running riot in the outside seating area and in the way by making the automatic door open and shut. The car park is tiny, packed full as it is no doubt used by train station users dropping off. There was a blood smeared capital A on the toilet wall, which was disgusting and litter everywhere. The two inner screens to order did not work, which caused a backlog of customers waiting. The toffee coffee was half full, and the latte was cold. If you do go here, eat your food over the road the castle is fantastic. We will not be back to this McDonald's. We went into Penrith especially. Tim Horton's is just off the A66 where KFC used to be, go there loads if parking.

Didnt have an item available so got a cheaper alternative and Mcdonalds refuse to refund price difference.

Slow table service, asked to move seats once the food came so they could close off half the seating area to clean. Burger looked as though it had been thrown together.

A very rotund woman manager was unable to make a coffee order correctly. It's a sad state of affairs that the English staff are so useless at even the basic skills at running a takeaway restaurant. It of course will never come home.

It's a McDonald's so you get what you expect to get everywhere, food was quick and fresh and despite some concerning signs around anti social behaviour and CCTV I wouldn't normally notice that makes me think the place is "lively" in the later hours, our experience was all good

Hand dryers didn’t work and floor was very slippery.

They just can't get a single order right. Me and my husband have been to this mcdonald's a handful of times and they have not got our order correct once. From leaving out entire meals to putting completely different items in the bag. We went today to get a meal that was comped due to them forgetting most of the order last time and they still missed off a entire burger and a portion of chips, they tried to only give us one drink which we did notice. I do not see us returning to this mcdonald's although the food you do actually get is nice it's extremely frustrating paying for food you never receive

Ordered a cheese burger no ketchup to given a hamburger with 1 pickle Took it back with the manager saying he will sort it then I receive a cheeseburger with nothing on it but ketchup So I took it back a 3rd time and got tired of waiting so left as I had ate the rest of my food while stand at the counter waiting

Freshest burger and chips I've had from any McDonald's in a looooong while. The atmosphere was chaotic as there were local kids all over the shop but good overall experience and service 👍🏽

Just the usual McDonald's,nothing special,food was okay as always,but the cleaner could of waited until people left the restaurant before mopping the floor right under the table where they were sitting!!

There has been times I've been forgot about , quite a busy McDonald's and a little slow.

This is one of the best McDonald's I have been too. Yes, it was busy but the food was hot, a big tick unlike other places I have been. Staff were all friendly. The only downfall was the munchies McFlurry - not pleasant, tasted like cookie dust not choc/caramel like I expected.

Not kept very clean. Food cold, fries replaced twice. Mixing old cold fries with new fries, not very hygienic! Staff grunted rather than speak.

I thought I'd try the hat trick burger as I'd never had one before and it looked good on the picture I'd seen.i should have known it would look like the promotion pics..I did enjoy it but I was put off by how it looked ..loved everything else tho that I had and I'd have another hat trick burger if they ever come available again..another thing was the drive thru was rammed and cars couldn't get in or out easily..just be warned if going there on a Saturday night

Can't believe how many times this place makes mistakes, today's joyful mistake was trying to palm me off with a banana milkshake when I'd ordered strawberry and it had a tiny bit of strawberry on top, the rest was yellow, the lad said "it's definitely strawberry, it's just how it comes out of the machine" what an absolute joke, have you ever heard of food allergies? you irresponsible idiot. I'm surprised no one's died of food poisoning.

It's ok, but closes at 2130? What kinda maccys does that. Toilets were clean staff seemed to be more interested in leaving on time or early.

We can for a quick grab and go as we were in a rush but they first forgot my sisters burger and put cheese in mine which has a big NO CHEESE NO MUSTARD NO PICKLE so we asked for them again they got my sisters wrong and FORGOT MY BACON that’s my favourite bit so we had to ask again they were right the third time but even the 6-year old in the car said (with no prompting) “The food is really good but the customer service is really bad”

Easily the best McDonald's I've been to. Organised, quick service and friendly staff. More importantly the food was hot and everything we ordered was actually there! 👍

McDonald's are all the same these days. the only thing is the car park, not many spaces and when we've been here there's always been a bicycle in the car spaces.

Drive thru i would definitely avoid, order double sausage and egg with hash brown plus extra hash brown, bag thrusted into hand without a cheery hello thank you or good bye, when get to eat said order it transpires that you haven't got what you ordered, you have some thing completely different and at a cheaper cost. So well done Penrith mcdonalds you made a profit out of me, were ignorant to me ,couldn't even be bothered to give me a receipt and couldn't even ensure that I had the right order. I mean come on, its written on the package what you are giving out. I hope whoever had my breakfast enjoyed it because I didn't enjoy yours. Also the idea is when the phone rings you answer it and speak, not just pick it up and then end the call. Recommended you to others?????? What do you think Well had another attempt today, order machine not working, a sign on the screen saying order at next window. So around to the window I go. Girl looks at me blankly , did you order with the 2 girl's outside, I replied no, machine said come here so here I am, you are meant to order with one of the 2 girl's outside they have a tablet. I said the 2 girl's mucking around by the building you mean, error yes she replied. Oh you can order with me, so I did, then got told oh 2 cars behind you have ordered now so you will have to wait longer. Tell you what, shove the fast food, I'll eat healthy now. Can't organise a prayer in a mosque this place. Still the worst McDonald's around

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to service was slow ordered 2 large fries 1 double cheeseburger and two big macs was charged for 2 big Macs but only got 1 in the bag was on the way bk to the lodges we were staying at when we realised there was a big Mac missing when we checked the receipt we had been charged for two check your order before you leave this McDonald's will not be returning to this place again

Typical mcdonalds usual fare, no decaf as usual, but on the whole it's a mcdonalds, no unruly youths hanging around.

This has got to be the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Service was so incredibly slow, my son's chips had tiny blue plastic bits in it, the staff were (playfully) shouting at one another, the manager was unprofessionally openly teasing staff and chatting lots to customer friends. It's good to have fun in the workplace, but there should be an element of professionalism.

Rude staff, said they needed the PIN code of my card to be able to give me my food. I asked them to bring the card machine to the window so I could pay contactless but they demanded they needed to take my card into the back and that I had to give them my PIN number for the card. So I drove off with no food feeling embarrassed and violated. I expect an email McDonald’s!!!! 09.06.24

We were disappointed by this McDonalds, despite the amazing view of Penrith Castle (highlight of the visit). It was scruffy, crowded, noisy and one item on the order didn't arrive, (Not charged for either). I couldn't be bothered to re-order and wait again as service was slow so I only had a coffee. I didnt' even get a receipt from the machine so I can't quote details. The place is mainly a meeting point for all the local kids and they are not all buying food or drink ! They were just using the facilities, crowding the toilets and delaying others by standing chatting in there. McDonalds is a restaurant business, not just a place where teenagers go on a rainy afternoon to shelter without buying anything, causing inconvenience and noice to others who are genuine customers and have called for a rest, a bite to eat and to use the toilets in peace. Management should be watching this and taking steps to make sure the kids are actually customers. I won't go here again or recommend others to visit.

Slow drive thru, asked for no pickles of course got pickle 🤦 low standard compared to others

What a pain this place is for getting in and out of the cars going into the drive-thru block the exit of the customer car park so u have cars blocked in the car park because cars queuing to get into the drive-thru and if you get to many queuing for the drive-thru there blocking the actual main road silly design of the entry and exit

Was on a journey from Glasgow to York. Stopped at this restaurant and had a lovely spicy veg and a nice coffee.

Ordered in the shop to drive home. On the way home we found they’d got the milk shake wrong. Had to drive back to get it fixed. Only to drive home again to find they’d forgotten to put the sauces in the bag. If you order here check it thoroughly as they totally screwed my order up. And to top it off the whole order was cold when we got home

Nicely cooked burgers, cheese melted, fries hot. Bit of a wait when going for drive thru but well worth it !

Good mcdonalds, conveniently located 3 mins from the motorway. Helpful staff and good food. Would have liked some more veggie options as it was really just the cheese and egg mcmuffin for breakfast. Overall good, and has a view of penrith Castle.

Have been here a few times. Can be busy with the train station nearby. Parking is okay. Staff seem lovely and helpful as I witnessed someone with the wrong order and they sorted it out efficiently.

Someone can't count to 12! 🤬 I can only update this review if there were minus stars! Happy Meal had no Toy. Dippers had no Dip!! Large fries looked like anaemic floor sweepings! Poor.

My son has special needs and orders very specific food. We over heard the staff calling it "disgusting" and opening his food, before wrapping it back up, to make fun of it and handing it to us. The girl who served us the food, after making fun of it, was also extremely rude also and the manager smirked throughout my complaint of how they speak about disabled children and their needs. Disgusting staff.

Great little McDonald's so close to railway station.

Grabbed a breakfast. We waited in a small queue before entering; as it was crowded on Friday morning. The staff were nice and cleared the tables swiftly. We got a simple burger(bun), made from eggs, and hash browns - which was good. We did not have lots of options as we only had limited options. Would be better suited for lunch/dinner/quick bite.

Great place to see some famous faces from the Penrith grime scene. They hang about outside in hoods and caps smoking and dropping some of the illest rhymes this side of windamere. Noodles aren't on the menu but they're on their heads. The burgers are ok.

Food always hot on a morning when ordering. Staff are typically nice and sometimes chatty at drivethru or click and serve. Since Covid theyve dropped the hours to 8am-8pm which means I go elsewhere for breakfast on the go, which is a shame for us shift workers at 6 or 7 am starts. Very interesting castle remains, original layout of the rooms is visible and some very high walls still standing, evidently built in 1400s.

Do not order via app for pickup. They prioritise mc deliveries and in store tables. Mine and 5 other people’s orders were on screen ready for collection and we could see them on the front counter. By the time the order number was called all food was cold. Useless.

The staff was very kind, it was raining cats n dogs and we ordered click to serve, i was feeling bad for the kind girl who braved the rain n storm and delivered the food to our car .

It was just a McDonalds. Floor staff eager to clear trays away. Maybe they didn't realise it was a little embarrassing.

Standard fast food outlet, good views of the castle and right in spitting distance of the train station make it ideal for a bite to eat while waiting for your train.

Tea was ok and toilets clean. Service was chaotic.

Wonderful staff, great food. For a cheap hotel it really is great. I've always had a fab time when I've stayed here. Staff really do go above and beyond!! Clean and tidy rooms too.

Called in here on the way home from our weekend away. Picked our order up to takeaway, checked dips were in the bag, which they were. (Always forgetting to put them in!) Only to get home 30 miles away & there was no chicken selects in the bag!! Can any of the staff read? Or follow the screen they should be looking at!! I think not. Very disappointed & will not be visiting again. If I could have gave no stars, that's what they would have got. Useless!!

Very very disappointed. My chips were stone cold and soggy. My burger was undercooked, cheesebites cold too. My burger bun was partially frozen. How hard is it?!! A newborn dog could make better food than you lot. I’d rather it say 0/5 stars but no options given.

We ordered a delivery, the man showed up with our order then proceeded to say that it was not ours. We had online confirmation that our order had been delivered yet we had not been given any food. Later, we walked to Mcdonalds and demanded our order. Took ages to receive it and also did not even get a partial refund for delivery because the man never actually delivered it!!! I am fed up with the service of this place. They gave us replacement food but it contained the WRONG items.
