Arrived here after a long drive from Southend, the state of the car park should have been the first red flag but went inside for food. Took a couple of menus and sat down, barman said he would be with us in 2 mins. This happened twice over a 20min period. Went to the bar where he was sat down chatting to folk at the bar. He then told me it would be an hour to get a starter as they were so busy. There was only about 10people in there!!! Walked straight out and went across the road to a lovely little pub that was more welcoming. The toilets were disgusting and the place was filthy, glad we never ate. Barman was not fit to pull pints never mind run a business!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Great Chinese takeaway. In my opinion, it is the best in Penrith and I have tried them all. Very quick service

Amazing pizza,friendly staff. Only slight negative is cash only but there's an ATM at Coop next door. Always make a stop off before heading home to Barnsley after a day in the hills. Much nicer than the next nearest place I have found, in Kirkby Stephen.

No gluten free options available. They advertise baked potatoes but don't actually stock them? The staff memeber just shrugged and asked if we'd like.anything else. Then part way throught the order started chatting to another customer. Ended up going to the chippy for chips and cheese. Wish we'd gone there in the 1st place because they also do sandwiches, which everyone else in my family can eat. It's literally a short walk over the bridge and across a road. The sandwiches looked so much nicer. We know better next time and now so do you.

Services are NOT dog friendly!!!! Big signs up stating dogs are not welcome! Only services I have ever seen this at! I will not visit this place again!!👎🏻

Totally cashless not good at all most people who work for themselves take cash and we like to spend it .not pay to put it in the bank.. was not impressed after waking 15 miles hoping to have my dinner made that I would have to walk into the village and be served properly by decent establishment ... keep cash going.. disgraceful..................

Lovely, friendly atmosphere and well looked after by our host Matthew. We’ll definitely be returning to this pub unfortunately can’t say the same for the goat down the road, whom discriminated against our hidden disabilities and refused service. This placed welcomed us without judgment and serves great wine and good music. Would recommend!

God awful expensive underwhelming cappuccino and chai coffee. Left an awful after taste and both had a head ache after. Tebay is a nice place but so so over priced for what you actually get.

Beautiful building. Amazing location & the food was so good. We had the Steak pie & fish and chips, which was really nice quality. 100% recommend x

We have been to Center park whinfell four times now but had not dined at the Lakeside inn before so thought we would book and try. The meal was delicious!. Homely food and the ambience was warm and welcoming and family orientated . Our Grandson ordered the burger came with a salad and fries and thoroughly enjoyed he didn't fancy a roast but the adults got the carvery and what a great meal this was plenty of vegetables and pork, beef or chicken with all the trimmings very good value. Just a shout out to the staff they are patient and attentive.well done. We shall be returning soon.

Seemed like a standard chain restaurant, food was average and the price was higher than you’d expect considering, I’m guessing this is due to location. No apple pie on the menu…. and it’s an America restaurant! This being said the staff are fantastic and very helpful but the menu let it down.

Worst curry we have ever tasted. Total rip off. Come on Centre Parcs you are better than this. I should have read all of the reviews warning people not to eat here. The food is terrible and that is an understatement. Shame on you. I can’t believe you have not been closed down with the slop serve. Horrific!

On our arrival at the hotel the staff (Dave) was very friendly and welcoming. The room was ready for us on our arrival. Clean room and well stocked with tea and coffee. Hot shower at the end of a cold day in Yorkshire was well received. We had an evening meal in the bar area beside an open log fire. Food was very nice and good value. Fran was very helpful in dealing with specific dietary requirements. Breakfast was included and was very tasty, just right to set you up for another day on the Yorkshire Moors.
