The best restaurants in North East

Clean establishment, good food, average price. McDonalds is bad, everyone knows it, burger king however actually tastes like it has real meat in its burgers so thats a big plus to me. Very nice.

I often pop in on my way home from work to pick up a Jacket Spud. 5 *! I cannot recommend the corned beef pie enough its very tasty. Trevor is a great host and the cafe is very welcoming.

I have to admit, even though I wasn’t a huge fan of pizzas , this place is wonderful. It has totally changed my views. The staff are great, very friendly and chatty. The food is wonderful and even if you are not a fan of pizza they do wraps, burgers, kebabs, garlic bread fries etc etc. pick up and delivery service as well

Wonderful local place to meet for Breakfast, lunch, brunch and early supper. Friendly staff and large portions. After too many years, feels like family. Really care about customers.

My experience at the bugle cannon was ridiba ridiba radge, I had lots of pink gins and rocked the show, oh yes you know! The bar staff were very friendly and only swore at me 3 times which was nice, the food is incredible, I’d highly recommend the Brocolli with a side of double vodka

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to cross over the Swing Bridge and visit some of the great pubs in Gateshead, one of my favourites was The Grey Nags Head Pub. A wonderful looking pub, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, dark wood features abound throughout this pub, great decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, all in all a wonderful local traditional pub. We ordered at the bar ,as it was a really hot afternoon we both chose Woodpecker cider ,these were served iced cold, we grabbed a table were we settled down and enjoyed our ciders. The cider served in here was really good, a crisp, effervescent and most importantly iced cold cider that really cut through the thirst on a hot afternoon, must mention the barmaid in here ,a wonderful cheerful person,made a fuss of my twin and I, really made us feel welcomed in the pub,Geordie hospitality at its finest. We really enjoyed our ciders in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to The Grey Nags Head Pub we were totally impressed. The Grey Nags Head Pub is easy to locate along High Street in Gateshead. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight. Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A wonderful pub,if you're this side of the River Tyne a pub I highly recommend you visit.

Most beautiful food, all hot and fresh and the fish is lovely. The curry and gravy are also lovely and they do gluten free

Went for Sunday lunch with family including my 96 year old mother. The food was delicious- great roast enjoyed by all. The staff were brilliant! Helpful, patient, friendly- couldn’t ask for more Would have been even better if the stair lift was working or wheelchair access.

We had food delivered today, absolutely excellent. The chips alone you can't get anywhere else! We would recommend anyone to Flavours! Cheers, the girls from Cleveland Terrace

Such a lovely friendly place. Good food, good value and quick. What's not to like? Staff happy to do a Vege breakfast even though not on the menu.

We hosted a fireworks party here... Was a rawing success! So glad everyone had an amazing night!With 2 bars, restaurant and function room, with some of the most amazing food you can think of... Chop Ooo is the new venue for your events!

Delicous kebabs and Pizzas, the place itself is immaculate too. We’ve tried chicken kebabs, and pizzas so far all been spot on and great value. Salad is fresh and sauces good, chicken kebab is breast all grilled great if your trying to be on a diet and getting the kids pizzas. I’m going to try a Parmo next as that looks really good and hard to get a decent Parmo round here. The photos I took aren’t the best as I’d got stuck straight into before I took a photo!

Great homemade food and barista coffee. Cakes are lovely. Adults with learning difficulties are trained here, definitely worth supporting with custom.

This spot is a very good place if u want hot delicious food and the mozzarella bites r very good and full of really nice hot cheese
