Had a brief but fabulous evening here. Great food, wine and people. Even took a bottle of the white Rioja out with us it was that good. Definitely worth popping by.

We had the pleasure of celebrating my brother-in-law’s birthday at Market Social, and it was truly a memorable meal. The atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion—festive yet relaxed, creating a great vibe for our celebration. My father-in-law, who’s in his 90s and has experienced many great meals over the years, remarked that it was some of the best food he’d ever had. He was especially fond of the whitebait and the seafood platter, both of which were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. They were also knowledgeable about the menu, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. All in all, a wonderful meal in a fantastic setting, and we look forward to returning again soon!

Just had a wonderful tapas meal for a friend's birthday.

We often need ot find a place to eat on a Satrudy at around 5 to fit round other commitments and we had never been here beforee. This will be where we come from now on. The food is really lovely and very good value for money. The staff are attentive and friendly and couldn't fo enought for us. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous Sunday brunch ! Simply lovely food, and phenomenal service, and all topped off with a great chat with the owners. The quality of the produce was exceptional, and the portions were amazing. Lovely ambience of a Sunday lunchtime, and conversation was easy without intrusive background noise or music. Special thank you to the fantastic owners and staff; our server was just lovely, and after spending far too long chatting with each other, so the kitchen closed at 14.45, we were too late to order churros, which my dad especially wanted for his birthday. God bless the lovely lassie who was taking care of us, who went through and asked the owners if they’d turn the fryer back on especially for the birthday boy. They gladly did, producing the loveliest churros ever, and then came out and chatted with us about food, family, and tattoos. Magic brunch. Magic people.

Amazing find for an amazing Thursday night dinner. We are both vegetarian and had plenty of options all of which were delicious. We had a lovely meal and Market & Social. We arrived on a Saturday evening with no reservation and the owner was kind enough to find us a table. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. Would happily return next time we're in Hexham. Highly recommend!

What a little find! We didn’t really know what to expect but this was one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. Everything about this restaurant is different. The ambience gives it a very laidback feel. The menu is unusual, the food is very tasty (especially given the limited size of the kitchen) and the drinks offer is definitely a cut above. It’s a long time since we’ve come across Vermouth, especially such a wide selection, and it’s rare to have brandy served so perfectly. The service was exceptional as was the owners’ in-depth knowledge of the products on offer. As if all this wasn’t enough, there is also a shop – that’s the Christmas list sorted! The offer is perfect for us and for anyone wishing to while away a couple of hours in a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back, possibly for an alternative Sunday brunch.

Stayed in Hexham on our way to Scotland. Decided to pop in here for a light bite. Very nicely decorated and the food was good. Where it really excels is its staff who are lovely and very attentive.

Outstanding food and wonderful staff. Came for the first time tonight and it certainly won’t be the last. The food is cooked so well and has amazing flavour. The venue is cosy and gives it a lovely vibe. Staff and owners genuinely wanting you to have a lovely time. Almost don’t want to post this as it’s so good we always want to be able to get a table!!

I had hoped to take a photo of this beautifully stylish restaurant. But as soon as i stepped in, the warm, cosy atmosphere embraces you and immediately I just wanted to sit down and soak it all in. I was greeted by friendly staff, who perfectly served me my unusually weak latte, spot on Thank you. I ordered a Meatball Bocata. Oh my goodness! Its was delicious. Again I was going to take a picture as that's what you do now. But I couldn't stop, I relished every mouthful. Loved the sauce, I only wish there was more! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant/cafe/ social market, which has a huge range of locally sourced goods. A wonderful addition to Hexham.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant. A real gem in Hexham. The actual place is lovely and feels really relaxing to be in. Food is amazing. I went with a friend for her Birthday and it was the perfect setting. Staff are really attentive , friendly and polite, particularly Jane who served us. A hidden gem, why did I not know about this place sooner. The staff were beyond exceptional and chatty, they made us feel right at ease. The tapas was authentic and absolutely marvellous. We ordered 5 tapas between 2 of us and it certainly hit the mark, it was tremendous, we had a desert and omg it was beautiful. We will certainly be earing there again and will definitely recommend it for a great evening lunch 10 out of 10

We had the falafel sharing platter and some cheeses with a cup of Earl Grey tea - all delicious and beautifully presented. This is a dog-friendly café and also sells lots of lovely speciality groceries and tapas dishes. Very happy with our meal 🤩

First visit here for the Mothers Day Tapas Brunch. The food was authentic, fresh and beautiful and good portion sizes. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and very welcoming, with the owners/chefs taking time to speak to everyone. A unique experience in the area and can’t wait to return and sample the full menu and the very reasonable cocktails which look delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful, food is great, just the right size portions, decor and music sets the perfect atmosphere, only thing missing is sunshine, but this is northern Britain, nevertheless would definitely recommend, is also dog-friendly with seating downstairs, a definite plus.

Absolutely fantastic place to dine, if you have not been, get yourself a table booked! We were greeted with a real laid back and friendly atmosphere, add this to the culinary masterpieces that were brought before our hungry selves and you’ve got a winning combination. The food was full flavoured and the menu contained an un-matched variety of tapas-esq dishes. Catering also to my wife’s allergens and dietary needs was greatly received. With a good wine selection, sherry between courses and brandy’s to finish we were well watered and well fed. Staff were attentive and friendly, with the owners taking time to speak to us at the table. Will be back without a doubt.

We visited this evening before seeing a show at The Queen's Hall. We chose 5 dishes from the tapas menu to share between us which were all lovely. The andalusian lamb stew was particularly tasty and I could easily eat a big bowl to myself! The gent who was serving was absolutely exceptional! He knew everything, advised on drinks, allowed us some tasters and suggested dessert (as if we had to be talked into it). He really did add that little sparkle to this place which made it above and beyond expectations. We will definitely be back!

Fab find for food before we visited the Abbey to see Bradley Chadwick. The ambience is beautiful and very relaxing with chill music. The tapas was delish! Gordon our host was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the area which we appreciated. Thank you for your hospitality.

Honestly this was the prefect spot for a Valentine's Dinner! The food was everything we could have asked for, so tasty and quick and friendly service. The ambiance for an evening meal was just spot on, from the romantic and cosy design to the street view tables. Almost every table has a great view or some interesting art or feature to look at. As much as I enjoyed this for a date night, I would definitely go back for lunches with girls or even meals with friends. Could not recommend more for couples looking for date nights or friends having a get together or celebrating! I don't have pictures of the food because it was so good we ate it before we could snap any!

Cannot fault a single thing. Delicious tapas (goats’ cheese and chorizo are a must-try). Save room for cannolis (lemon is the best!) I LOVE to drink coffee on a glass and stir with a spoon and this is what I got here. Beautiful market with all kinds of canned food and fresh food in fridges. Very sociable owners who you can talk with. Tapas on Fridays and Saturdays. Very recommended.
