Run by volunteers as a warm space centre. Limited food but what they have is good and made in the premises. Staff are very friendly, would recommend this place.

This coffee shop is an absolute must. There is not a massive choice on the menu but what they have is excellent and cooked on the premises. The staff are exceptional and very friendly.

Amazing food amazing staff. Lovely atmosphere, this was our 1st visit and we will definitly be coming back again! We were greated with big smiles and a hello from everyone, asked if we would like to sit upstairs by the window, upstairs is nicely decorated and very welcoming. Cant find any faults at all with the crossroads. Definitely recommend the chicken caserole!

Crossroads is Ashington’s best kept secret. This gem of a little community cafe, tucked away next to Iceland, is somewhere I make a point of visiting when in the Ashington area. With the exception of bread, everything on offer is made on the premises from scratch. The magnificent and beautifully finished cakes, the selection of dinners and notable home cooked pies and even the coleslaw is created on site by staff who really know how to cook. The prices are very competitive too. I don’t know how they do it. As a community cafe the Crossroads do a lot of worthy charity work and I have been fortunate to experience one of their themed evening events. In this case it was a charity pudding night with a choice of three (yes three!) delicious puddings from a very tempting menu. As usual everything was home cooked and rather delicious. First class. All tips are donated to local charities. Given the above it seems odd to me that Crossroads does little to promote itself and doesn't even make a point of what, for me, in this modern world of bland processed food, is surely a unique selling point of the cafe; the home cooked food. There is a small sign near the door but it is really not enough. The building itself isn't exciting and the interior, though spotlessly clean, lacks colour and needs some decorative touches. There are, for example, no pictures! A while ago a number of photographs by a local artist appeared on the walls and this was a nice touch, especially in a community cafe. However these quickly vanished and the walls are, once again, rather bare. However I can do nothing but give the Crossroads five stars. Great food. Great prices. Excellent staff. A great concept.

I went with my husband yesterday and had a absolutely scrummy cherry and coconut scone. My husband had victoria sandwich and he thoroughly enjoyed that. It makes a great change to get home baking instead of bought in. Will be back soon.

There are not many eateries in Ashington so we were delighted when we found this one. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Was extremely hard to forgo the cakes. Beautifully clean and bright inside. Staff very friendly and proud of the fact that they donate their tips to charity. Their ethics in fostering good relationships with the community are to be applauded. Will revisit when in the area.

This small, friendly eatery is just the place to meet up with friends and have a chat whilst enjoying the range of food made on the premised from fresh ingredients. The staff and volunteers give their tips to their designated charity. I love the scones, can't work out which are my favourites, and the coconut cake too. A great place to be.

The postal address had a Morpeth post town, even though it is close to Amble. Finding it with the aid of a satnav was essential. A lovely sunny day and the field out front was very busy. All sorts were there, a food concession was selling pizza. The beer was varied, but great. Just a pity i was driving, no carry out bright beer is available. Only in cans. Such a shame, would have loved to taken away some of their heavier beer approx 6% ABV Staff were friendly and the interior accommodation was good.

This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!
