The best restaurants in North East

Went here tonight with my brother for the first time. Staff were really friendly and helpful when we arrived. The atmosphere was very nice inside with ambient lighting and nice background music. We ordered the sharing platter and it was so tasty! Everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned and the portion was massive. The salad accompanied it well also. Dessert was amazing too! So tasty and fresh. Already planning on going back again

Literally the best coffee in Newcastle and the staff are always lovely. Baked goods are always nice too!

Great coffee from a great little coffee shop. Not a lot of sit in space, but great for takeaway on the way through town!

We had a lovely lunch stop here during day 3 of our Sandstone Way cycle ride. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Has a great locked room to safely store your bike while you eat. Highly recommended.

Great coffee and cakes… friendly staff.. nice stop if you are pottering along the high street! The pancakes had sadly stopped at 11am which we just missed but they looked great!

You could easily miss this little patisserie located at the entrance of Houghton business park, but it is well worth a visit. Here you could order an individual celebration cake or you could purchase scones and cakes from their little shop. I would strongly recommend the malteser brownie, possibly the best brownie I have ever had, but the caramel slice and scones are also amazing.

Lovely coffee and toasted sandwich with salad,the best toasted sandwich I have had in a long time. Other people were having sharing platters they looked lovely and fresh, we will be back again for one off those and some wine 👍

Had my dinner here today and thought I should probably write a google review at some point given how often I've visited over the years. The pressed lamb burger with sweet potato and red cabbage salad was just what I needed. This place is a hidden gem and more people in Sunderland and beyond should know about it. On a high street full of fast food and junk food outlets it stands alone as a fresh, healthy and good quality choice. Zoe is a friendly face and takes the time to get to know her regulars which I think is an added touch. Ask for an 'Anything Sandwich'...

Didn't notice any difference since the changeover.. We had Ham &Peas pudding, Ham Salad and Prawn Salad buns...all were great...Will definitely return

We've just moved into the area and we're excited to try out Emma's. We had such a lovely meal and will definitely be back! The food was really good and for a very reasonable price, and the staff were all so warm and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble! I have to say the tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had, and I've tried a lot of them. So great to know we have such a lovely place close to us.

Vino a The Neighbourhood para mi café de la mañana y tuve una gran experiencia. Enni y Casey eran muy amables y claramente sabían sus cosas. Pedí un café con leche helado (¡era un día cálido y soleado!) y no pude resistir agarrar un camino rocoso también – ambos estaban deliciosos y llegaron rápido. Me senté afuera bajo el sol, lo que fue un comienzo perfecto para el día. El café tenía un buen ambiente con gente estudiando, poniéndose al día, y un montón de perros adorables alrededor, que me encantó. Todo tenía un precio razonable, y sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera que busque un lugar de café relajado y acogedor.

Very pleasant and friendly staff, nice variety of drinks and treats. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Everytime they made my day and leave with a smile.
