EMMA’S restaurant in Gateshead

Got taken here for dinner with friends and it was a lovely surprise. Excellent food, friendly service and really good value for money. It's great to find a down to earth Italian restaurant which just serves good food in a friendly atmosphere - too many restaurants have lost that and try to be too trendy

On a whole this would have been a lovely family/meal out. Initially great service and mainly good food. However a hair was found in my daughter’s food, not just on top but within the pizza. Asked for this to be changed, which it was with no problem at all. It would have been nice to have been compensated a little for the hair, having to wait for another pizza and the inconvenience of it all but unfortunately that was not to be. Not really a sorry either. Also charged £2.95 for a black current and tap water, seemed a bit steep in price for that. All other food was good.

Had a lovely 3 course meal. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive.

We had a la carte 3 course menu paid £2 extra for sirloin steak so chicken wings, sirloin steak chips dianne sauce and banana split £17 was delicious and a bargain

Got a Sunday dinner to take out and it was great! Beef fell apart in my fork and Yorkshire was lovely. Veg and sides fresh and hot thank you

MINT. Just absolutely lush. Honestly this place is cheap and cheerful but the quality of food is unreal. Staff are attentive, the menu is really good and the prices are so good it’s a no brainer. We will be making this our new local Italians! Wish we’d known about them sooner. We had 4 drinks, 2x 3 course meals, full garlic bread pizza, side salad for 53 quid.

We had a fabulous birthday meal with friends. The little restaurant is beautiful with great ambience - there’s also lovely outdoor seating too. The menu had great choice & the food was the best I had eaten in a restaurant for a while. All local produce & home cooked - couldn’t fault it. The service was excellent too. The restaurant is not licensed but you could take your own drinks or buy from the pub across the road.

Service was very good and food was served quickly. Had a very nice Sunday lunch which we both enjoyed! Excellent value and the staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly visit again.

Food was fantastic, went with a friend and got a takeaway pizza for my partner who loved it. Really pleasant staff and quaint restaurant. 3 course special is such a good one to go for. We will be back.

Cheap and cheerful Italians in the heart of Winlaton. Went for a lunch with hubby, great beers on draught, great starters and mains. I did plan on dessert but was too stuffed. Thank you to staff at Emma's.

Absolute delightful restaurant, service is excellent, always friendly and helpful, good is sublime, pizza are very good, they use real good quality cheese, 3 course special menu is excellent, totally recommend

Brilliant! First time visiting tonight, we were made to feel so welcome by everyone! The food was absolutely fantastic, good quality food, tasted beautiful but also at a fantastic reasonable price. We enjoyed a few drinks too and they were priced very fairly too. It’s the nicest night I’ve had with the best atmosphere, food and service. Perfect in every way Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come again Thank you

Visited 20/09/23,for 84th Birthday,no one disappointed,Food excellent service excellent ambiance excellent. Biscoti Cheesecake recommended, it was a Treat, a definite return to this Gem Restaurant.

Staff were brilliant, especially the female (apologies, didn't catch name) but unfortunately my food lacked taste. Price was good but would prefer to spend a bit more for better quality. I do wish them well though.

I went to Emma's restaurant on the 28th September for my 50th birthday With family members, It was absolutely fab The staff were amazing and so friendly, 100% Recommend 😊

Eleven of us had dinner for my mam's 84th birthday. Thank you, you made mam feel really special. All our food came out together, it was hot and absolutely delicious. General feedback from the whole group was best that they had ever had. Despite being busy the service was second to none and so friendly. I cannot rate this restaurant , it's owners and staff, highly enough. A hidden gem 💎

There is nowhere I could recommend more than here! I came for my birthday at the end of August and it was one of the nicest places I’ve visited. The food was impeccable - it all came out, hot and together, for all 22 of us! It tasted amazing, and the portions were extremely generous. The staff could not have been friendlier. They were both amusing and considerate. I cannot wait to visit again, which I hope won’t be too long in the future!

Just ordered a pizza for collection, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pizza was delicious and a great value for money!

I visited Emma's for a collection order, 2 starters and 2 pizzas. I had a nice greeting upon arrival and food was ready within 5 minutes. All the food was really good, a great price for the quality and portions. Will be a regular from now on!

We absolutely love this little family run restaurant. The food is fantastic and the staff are really nice.

First visit following a recommendation from a friend. What an absolute hidden gem. Amazing welcome from happy staff. We felt as though we were sitting in an Italian family's dining room. Our bricetra was plentiful and delicious. Pizza and garlic bread had amazing crispy base and full of flavour. I cannot praise highly enough rhe crispy belly pork and peppercorn sauce. I even had enough to take home for next days lunch. Reasonable prices too. We will definitely be back.

Loved this restaurant when it was Desi’s but love it even more now. The menu is great, fantastic choice and all delicious..The staff are very friendly. I really can’t recommend Emma’s enough.
