Can not fault this food and the lady who owns it is extremely friendly I pop in for cake and sandwich too never disappointted

We came for breakfast after trying most places in the Newcastle, Gateshead area. A beautiful breakfast freshly cooked The avocado toast was delicious And the staff were so friendly The sandwiches look divine too

The best scones around! Iv tried so many places for coffee and cake and no where compare's to this lovely little coffee shop! The cheese scones are beautiful 😍 Well worth a visit 💛💛💛

I’ve been here a couple of times now, the sandwiches each time have been gorgeous… so fresh, lovely quality bread and fillings with fresh side salad. Coffee one of the nicest I’ve had. A lovely friendly lady running it always has a little chat. We will be back soon I promise.

Came across this lovely cafe today. Wow what a great little place. The food was fresh , tasty and a great portion. We had the broth and cheese sandwich , think this is honestly the best soup and sandwich I’ve had for a long time. Well worth the visits and I got to meet little Olly the pet puppy. Thanks xx

Due to my father being in a car home it is just myself and my mother this year so she ordered two Christmas dinners from the yellow teapot and I have to say they were delicious 😋 you name it it was there , roast potatoes, mash,carrots,sprouts, turnip, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding ,pigs in blankets,turkey ,stuffing and lovely gravy, absolutely lovely and well worth the money. Thank you 😊

Ordered breakfast via Gateshead Eats for delivery when my partner and I were ill in bed and wow ! Beautiful vegetarian breakfasts and pancakes, and our instructions sent with the order were followed which is much appreciated. The food was delivered carefully by a friendly driver. What impressed me the most was the price when the food is such quality. It’s hard to come by food deliveries that don’t cost a bomb right now. Thank you !!

Ordered afternoon tea for mother's day treat and can totally recommend. There was a selection of sandwiches, cheese and fruit scone which came with jam and cream too. Also a cupcake. Slice of Victoria sandwich and biscoff cheesecake. All absolutely delicious. Can really recommend.

Lovely food and great service every time

The Yellow Teapot were able to provide afternoon tea for 8 with a weeks notice as it was for a gathering after a funeral. They were so helpful and it was all arranged within the space of a few hours. So easy to pay over the phone as well and they even delivered it on the day. Excellent service and the food was amazing. Best afternoon tea I have ever had and we will be back in the future for other family events!! I didn't take any photos because of the nature of the occasion but the food came in trays and it was just so well laid out.

We collected 4 takeaway afternoon teas today. Made our way up to Hexham by the river, set the table. When we opened the containers we were absolutely amazed at the beautiful food laid out in front of us. Each serving had four sandwiches, four different fillings, a cheese scone, with butter, a blueberry scone with butter, clotted cream & jam, a slice of cake and a slice of cheesecake. The quality of all the food was truly outstanding. I cannot recommend The Yellow Teapot highly enough. Thank you so much, you made an afternoon with my Mam, & two sisters very special.

Used this company before, excellent service! Wanted afternoon tea for my neighbour, but wanted it up to them when it would be delivered..messaged last night when the shop was closed, but immediately got a reply saying that would be fine, said I would ring today. Phoned, message saying they cant take the call right now, a few seconds later someone from the shop called..,sorted picking up the voucher tomorrow!! What excellent service!

I ordered at short notice a High Tea for my sister and her husband, arrived on time..massive scones!! The sandwiches look yummy too.. My sister was over the moon, fast and efficent service...cant wait to go to the shop when lockdown is over!

I was recommended 2 try there take out Sunday lunch as I live locally i went 2 order 3 Sunday lunches for my self and elderly parents although I had 2 wait 40 minutes as they were extremely busy the meal was well worth the wait the roast beef was excellent with a variety of fresh vegetables roast and mashed potato home made Yorkshire and separate gravy i couldn't fault the quality and very reasonably priced the lady serving was lovly and advised me 2 ring in early as they were getting really busy will be back

My partner and I have just had 2 x roast dinners (1 chicken, one beef), as a takeout. It was absolutely delicious; generous portions, a good range of veg and really tasty gravy served in a separate container. I'd thoroughly recommend and we'll definitely be ordering from there again. Thank you!

First things first, I average about 1 review every 5 years - Im not a serial reviewer, but I have to express how much I love this place... The Sunday Roasts are the best I've ever had in any pub or restaurant ever - and believe me I've had a few. the meat is moist and in abundance, the veg are plentiful and the gravy is sublime.. As a consequence, Sundays are busy as they have a large takeaway following too. (In response to the recent negative review, I've never read such twaddle - the owner was busy, but polite and clear that only Sunday Lunches were available.. as for 'not being locals', I visit from the East Mids about once per month and have received a warm welcome from the outset).. On a Saturday I opt for the breakfast which again, is amazing - including good quality bacon and a proper sausage - black pudding optional.. My son also thinks they do amazing toasties.. Quite frankly, this place deserves infinitely more business. One of my all time favourites. xxx

It is always nice to support a local business when visiting an area. However, our visit to this cafe proves a disappointment. We were greeted with the news that there was no Sunday lunch-not even hello. Perfunctory service and we were left with the impression that our custom was not welcome as we were not part of the local scene.

We have made a couple of visits to here and the first time I had a bacon and cream cheese bagel which was absolutely delicious. On our second visit we had Blueberry Scone and a Scone with Jam and Clotted Cream. The Blueberry Scone was scones were beautiful however my only tiny criticism was it would of been better with a plain scone as the sweetness of the blueberries in the Scone over powered the flavour of the cream. Service good and would definitely return

Great little tearoom serving a nice selection of hot and cold food and drinks, a gorgeous afternoon tea and Sunday Lunch on Sundays. Staff incredibly friendly, and the place has a great feel to it. You can also bring your dog here and they're sure to receive a warm welcome.

Where do I start, The food is excellent the cakes are to die for, staff are pleasant always helpful, I will certainly be a regular here. A gem not to be missed.

This is a huge secret!! This is the best Sunday lunch I have ever eaten. Vegetarian tart 10/10. Yorkshire pud 10/10. Vegetables 10/10. The roast potatoes are immense. Friendly staff.

My daughter and I ate Sunday lunch at The Yellow Teapot today and it was cooked and presented perfectly. The decor is so fresh and relaxing and Lynn and the lady cook very inviting and friendly. Already planning my next visit as it got a double thums up from my 8 year old. Cannot recommend enough.

Our first visit was during the week where we had an english breakfast it was done to a "t" and if you finished it you must have an enormous appertite. We whent back again on Sunday to try the SunDay Lunch once again the food was exceiient choices of Pork, Beef, Gammon,etc with six yes six vegs and real home made gravy none of this Bisto rubbish the prices are very reasonable indeed you have to try the cafe to believe the value, service and atmosphere,We are definitely going back a week on Sunday the 3rd of March hope to see you there PS Lynn"s home made cakes are also delisious we take ours home for tea thank you Lynne and HUBBY,,LAUREN \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\JACK AND JACKIE

I visit the Little Yellow Teapot often, mainly because of the great food and the very warm welcome from lovely Leanne, the owner, and her friendly staff.

First visit since new ownership. Popped in for breakfast. Had poached eggs on toast with a pot of tea. Also had a slice of cake as freshly baked. Everything was tasty and very reasonable in price.

I've been to the yellow teapot a few times now, had a variety of different foods and all have been delicious. Very welcoming staff and lovely light airy tea room! I will definately be back!

Lovely tea room with excellent friendly welcoming staff seems strange but i had a fresh coffee at the yellow teapot brought to my table and i had a lemon muffin with lemon curd inside as a nice surprise.Will be back for sure

I visited The Yellow Teapot for the first time with my daughter and son in law. My daughter and I had blueberry scones with jam and clotted cream. They were delicious. My son in law had a toasted teacake which he enjoyed. We all had a cappuccino. The staff were friendly and there is a relaxed atmosphere in the tea room. We will certainly return.

We regularly visit the yellow teapot. The food is always lovely and fresh and the staff friendly and welcoming. Good choice of food and drinks.

This is not far from where I live, but I had never been before. It's a small tea room that serves a variety of food, mostly home made, I think. The food was very nice and reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly go again.

All the teapots are indeed yellow. Offer a hearty breakfast and a reasonable range. Parking may be an issue at peak times, but it is worth a walk if needed.

this was the NICEST gluten free - afternoon tea I have ever had, the staff really pulled out all the stoppers and gave me a lovely selection - which matched the rest of the family tea selection beautifully. It was fresh and light and tasted heavenly, rounded off so well with Prosecco - 10 out 10 - can't wait to visit again. The staff are really nice and friendly and very helpful too. A lovely visit.

Went into the Yellow Teapot for a light lunch which was excellent. Pleasant, prompt service, the food (toasted sandwiches and jacket potato) were hot and well presented. Could not fault it and I will certainly go back.

A fresh clean environment, a warm welcome, prompt service, good tea and coffee and smashing hot food. We'll be back!

After a day working in the area this proved the perfect stop for late lunch. Quaint and traditional feel with modern food choices. Nice decor, unintrusive background music, excellent food, very friendly service.
