Had afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my sister, it was great value and the portion size was great

5 star what more needs to be said. My mother in law went every week and today they hosted the after funeral event the amount of care that was done was tremendous and the food was lovely

Lovely relaxed atmosphere staff are all lovely.Go once a month for a meet up with friends other times with husband or grandchildren always feel comfortable and always a lovely welcome.Had afternoon tea recently really enjoyed it but even if you just want a cuppa a warm welcome awaits you .

The staff at Cafe My place are so kind and caring. The refreshments are lovely lots of home baking.They were so kind and thoughtful today catering for our Mams 87th birthday.they even sang Happy Birthday to her.would definitely recommend

For my birthday this year my dad treated me to afternoon tea with my sister, 2 nephews and niece. It was lovely. After arriving at the White Swan centre it doesn't look like there is anywhere from the outside. But once you are in the room it is lovely. The afternoon tea was so lovely and the china cups added that little extra. I will be back. Thanx

Lovely family run cafe, nothing is a bother, food is lovely, great welcoming atmosphere, afternoon tea for special occasions or just a treat although it is best to pre book that and state any dietary requirements. Well worth frequent visits, friendly helpful staff. cafe my place closes at 2pm

Looking for somewhere to take a friend for afternoon tea, this place came up on my internet search. As it was in a building used also as a vaccination centre I had my doubts but WOW!! My Place Cafe is so lovely, the food is gorgeous to look at and delicious to eat. The ladies who work there are wonderful, friendly and just downright nice. Please go and you won’t be disappointed.

What a find this is.we had a festive afternoon tea, nothing was too much bother.owner really attentive. Will be back again its such a delighful place with beautiful individually made to order food at reasonable prices.

Fabulous spot in Killingworth Civic Center: a proper home from home. Emma, who runs it, is fantastic - really friendly and helpful. It's simply a really nice place to go with a lovely atmosphere as well as most excellent coffee and cake. Get yourselves along there if you have opportunity!

I went last Friday 30th August to celebrate with my sister for her birthday and her friend's birthday. We had afternoon tea. My sis and her friends go there on Fridays for lunch, having formed a little luncheon club, the ladies who lunch. The table was booked, and set with Royal Albert "Old Country Roses", including the tea-pot, and the sandwiches and cakes - generous portions - were served on pretty cake stands. There was a good variety, the sandwiches were dainty and freshly made. As for the cakes - my favourite was the mini pavlova with a strawberry, cream and blueberries. A lovely, home-made chocolate cake - with candle - was served for the birthday cake! The service was relaxed and very friendly - the decor quirky and a bit French boulevard. I compared the afternoon tea with that which my son treated me to earlier in the year at the Grand Hotel, Tynemouth - Killingworth won by a mile. I recommend Cafe My Place unreservedly.

We have just returned home after our afternoon tea here. I have been to many other places but would rate this as the best. From booking to leaving the establishment,our service was first class. Lovely atmosphere, plenty of room in such a gorgeous place. The staff were friendly and nothing was any trouble to them. Thank you for making my Mam's birthday. We will be back 😀.

Took my Mam here for afternoon tea last Friday. It was fab everything freshly baked, scones warm, lovely cosy setting and super friendly staff. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning. Merry Christmas to all xx

Looked on Google to find a cafe in killing worth as didn't want a pub meal. Found this beautiful little cafe. The food was really good and reasonable prices. Had a panini and a baked potato and a piece of toffee cake to share. Friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Went here for a quick cuppa today with my elderly parents , the staff are great very helpful. Tea and cake was gorgeous . Will return for lunch next week.

This place is a gem - Emma's cakes are delicious, the rest of the food is lovely and fairly priced, the staff are friendly and the children's play area is fab too as it keeps them entertained while you have coffee and cake :) can't recommend highly enough!

This is lovely homely place to go, its feel comfortable inside and you always get a warm welcome, you have quite sit by yourself or go we friend have a chat.

Visited for lunch with my daughter, husband and granddaughter . The welcome of the staff was wonderful- friendly and helpful. The menu has a variety of very good sandwiches , soup and jacket potatoes. Our tuna jacket potato was very good with just the right amount of salad. It's lovely to have tea in a China pot and the cakes and scones were delicious. We were astonished at the very reasonable prices for such a lovely lunch. Worth a special journey.

I visit the coffee shop often with my mum. The food is fresh and the cakes homemade. Service is always with a smile. A excellent stop to recharge your batteries.

What a surprise I got today when I walked into the cafe today to see all my friends had surprised me with afternoon tea, it was beautiful in lots of ways, the sandwiches and cakes were delightful and well laid out, I felt like royalty, I often go into the cafe as I love the staff the way they make you feel speacail. The food is always hot and well laid out the atmosphere in the cafe is calm and peaceful, it's very clean and well kept love all the quirky bits. Thank you Emma and staff you do an amazing job

What a jem of a cafe ,small,friendly ,home made cakes and very nice staff.We try to pop in once a week ,and often meet friends there.Evenif you go on your own there's often magazines to look through,good for all ages ,even have a "kids corner".

Have been here a number of times and went with my mum and our 2 girls. There is a small play area for the kids which they always enjoy and the food was lovely. Freshly made and delicious. Will definitely be back!
