Amazing food ,lovely touch pot of tea just lovely must try it ,Just so quite need bit Christmas 🤶 music felt frightened to speak ,

I pop in regularly for lunch. The quality of the food and service is consistently good. The owner and her daughter have a great rapport with their customers, many of whom they obviously care deeply for and treat like family. The teahouse is a very welcoming space, I enjoy spending time there.

Called in again as it was half term and not only did I enjoy the great array of cakes and quality coffee last time but the kids who are notoriously picky loved the sweet treats from the fridge! Cafe very busy with every table occupied so the delicious cakes and other menu items (the bacon sandwiches seemed to be popular) are clearly well regarded! Good to see that the team had noted our last comments about hand washing after canine clients however still disappointed by the team themselves and some if the conversations - arguing amongst themselves from the kitchen which was audible as well as complaining about the busyness and number of customers - surely being popular in a a good thing?!? This manifested and extended to slamming of cutlery drawers and fridges, slamming of the phone when being placed back on it's charger and banging of orders when placed on tables and just a frosty atmosphere from the FOH staff to the point my son was frightened to ask them for some more ketchup for his sandwich as he didn't want to get shouted at!! The quality of the food and refreshments is definitely the saving grace for what otherwise is a great addition to the town centre.

Decided to try here as somewhere new and was welcomed by a very impressive range of sweet treats that proved very popular with our younger hungry diners! All tables had customers so obviously popular with an eclectic assortment of customers ranging from ladies who lunch, families with kids like us through to elderly couples and even 4-legged visitors all of whom were greeted with a host of food and drink options that were of a yummy quality. The only dampeners would be when there were 4-legged visitors they were allowed up on chairs that were then used by other customers and not cleaned as well as the staff not washing their hands following giving them cuddles/treats 🤔 Also the content of conversation between some of the customers' and staff we felt wasn't really suitable for the environment particularly with kids there "she's dead to me" is not really what I want my children to hear mid-cake!! Besides this the staff were attentive and the food great.

As usual we were welcomed with Linzi's big smile . We've been coming here as it's quaint with a good clientele of friendly people of all ages who like us I feel enjoy the friendliness of Avril and Linziwho run the place. We have called into other cafes in the area and find this the friendliest and they work hard to make everyone feel at home. The meals are homemade which is pretty rare. Brilliant place to come to. Best bacon sandwiches. I’m fussy about good quality meat and I could tell this was good quality. Also asked how I like it cooked and I said crispy and it was perfect. The cake was amazing too, apparently baked every day so super fresh. Coffee was absolutely spot on too and I’m very particular 😆 and they even have oat milk! Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent home made cakes and very friendly service.

Great change to find a tea house rather than a coffee shop. although the coffees are top quality too. Worth going back just for the home-made cakes. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Obviously popular with the locals as the waitress greeted several customers by name and remembered their favourite drinks and cakes. Good place to meet friends as although it was busy the service was quick and there was no hurrying people away as soon as they had finished eating and drinking. Will definitely be calling in again.

After trying to book a last minute afternoon tea with 2 fussy eaters and a pug with no success and after almost giving up I came across the Blue Bramble Teahouse and what an amazing find! Lyndsey and her mum do an amazing job and were very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. They booked us in for the next day took down our dietary needs and allowed our pug as it’s a dog friendly venue! From the minute we arrived we were welcomed the afternoon tea was all fresh, homemade and lots of choice including sandwiches, quiches, pastries, scones & cakes. We had the option of teas, coffees, lattes, americano and more, all served in lovely China cups and plates. We couldn’t finish it all so they even boxed up what we had left so we could take it home. Thank you so much for the lovely experience and accommodating us at short notice where nobody else would. Next time we visit Whitley Bay we will definitely pop in for a coffee and to say hello!

Walked in expecting a menu and a less dull environment, lighting was dim, felt like a nursing home, didn’t serve breakfast and obviously no menu with prices so I wasn’t aware of how much anything was, only got a Latte and Hot Chocolate, costed me a shocking £8 alone, for the DRINKS, the latte alone was those Morrisons bought family pack coffee granules that are sold for £3, hot chocolate was OK but not worth the price. Overall, not worth it, I beg don’t bother; go across the road and go to the Crêperie Nathalie, 25x better and worth your money.

I have had the best quiche ever...! Well ever since my mum cooked one... The food here is proper home cooking, with a lovely warm blend of tea and the Victoria sponge cake was also fabulous. This is a brilliant cafe in the heart of Whitley Bay.. with a warm welcome.

We had two bacon butties and they were delicious. Mum said ‘best sandwich she’s had out.’ So she was happy and I’ve got to say I only buy good quality meat and I could tell this bacon was top quality, so we will be returning for another! Also shared a lemon meringue pie, which they told me is home-made by the owner and it was absolutely delicious. I had coffee and it’s top stuff, not bitter, just perfect. The staff are very friendly and professional and are very dog friendly too! My dog loved his dog treats! 😆 Ample parking outside and great selection of home-made savoury and sweet treats!

We chose this venue as focus around the corner was closed. Mam had the bacon butty which she enjoyed, and I had the pie of the day with skin-on potatoes and garden peas, which I enjoyed. The 2 girls, one in particular, had good rapport with staff, the place is dog friendly and has a customer toilet.

Really friendly welcome, really lovely homemade soup, warm, welcoming atmosphere, and I could tell that the staff really care about their regular customers, there's a real sense of community. Big recommend.

Took my elderly mum here and she had the home made soup. She has to be careful what she eats and absolutely loved it. Lovely atmosphere, first class canny service. Will definitely be going back xx

Blue Bramble is a family run cafe in the heart of Whitley Bay. The owners have built up a wonderful sense of community where all are welcome. All of the cakes are delicious and hand made, the service is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this cafe if you are looking for a welcoming place to go.

My wife was in here today with my son and new born.Everything was an inconvenience to the lady serving today from putting the light on in the toilet for my son to actually giving my wife a glass for some water.You try and support local businesses and stuff like this happens won't be back

We had an AMAZING Saturday big breakfast. Great ingredients, everything was freshly cooked,locally sourced meaty Sausage and Bacon, a tasty platefull. The toast that came with it was nice and thick. This was our 4th visit in 10 days (whilst up here on holiday)! We had fresh home made cakes and great quality Coffee on other visits. We are always greeted like friends and well looked after. Our dog Connie is given treats and lots of fuss. Wish we lived closer!! We will DEFINITELY return when in the area again next year. THANKYOU Blue Bramble,pity we can't give you 10 stars!! XX❤️

We came in for the second time this week and were greeted like old friends, there were lots of customers and dogs, they gave ours some doggy treats both times we've been in!! (Connie says Thankyou,woof woof 💞) The owner and her daughter are wonderful, she went out in the pouring rain to get what I wanted in my Panini,how's that for service? Fresh tasty food, amazing homemade cakes and Scones. Good quality tea and coffee. We will definitely be back there for Saturday breakfast (and Cake,of course) before our holiday ends!!! Fab place!!

7 ladies for....Afternoon tea for Mother's Day. We had a wonderful afternoon at Blue Bramble. Nothing was too much trouble. Great selection of teas and the latte was really nice. The afternoon tea itself was beautifully presented. A lovely selection of savouries and sandwiches..then move onto the strawberry cream scones.. delicious... then... cake! I booked an afternoon tea for my husbands 50th birthday. He has just been diagnosed with coeliac and finding a good variety of gluten free food has been challenging. He was not disappointed! So much to eat and totally tasty. Mine was the standard tea and I was bursting. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The mushroom soup is the best and the cakes are tempting. Problem is after the soup with a sandwich there's no room for cake. But you can take it home.

Lovely home baking, corned beef and carrot cake were delicious, mother and daughter run and own the cafe, little gem !

Never disappointed when visiting Bluebramble. The food is delicious with excellent quality ingredients. Cappuccino piping hot- perfect. Definitely worth a visit for cake and a cuppa, breakfast or a light lunch.

My daughters took myself and my mam for Afternoon Tea as a mother's day treat. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Nothing was a bother even to the point of putting a heater on as mam is 91 and feels the chill. Absolutely spotless. Will definitely go again. Thank you so much xx

We went to the Blue Bramble Teahouse today for afternoon tea and it was lovely! The afternoon tea itself was so filling and tasty. We couldn't finish it so brought almost a whole nother person's portion home in a box! The sandwiches were delightful, and we were asked which fillings we wanted. The pies and quiches were yummy, the pastry was so nice! The scones were large, with big helpings of jam and cream. It made them a bit messy to eat but that's the best kind of scone!! The more cream the better in my opinion! Each of the cakes were phenomenal! The victoria sponge was my personal favourite, it was so light and tasty! The cheesecake was amazing too! We felt at home and comfortable, and the owners were great to chat to! To be honest, we didn't know this place existed until yesterday, but will definitely be recommending it to people and will be coming back in the future!

Called in here to break up our journey. We were greeted warmly by the owner and her daughter. The carrot and ginger cake was the best we have ever eaten. The other cakes and savouries looked delicious as well. Would highly recommend this tea room.

Well that was pretty amazing, have never had a Cream of Mushroom soup as well seasoned as that. Fantastic food and great service.

We stopped in as we were in the area, and had coffee and cakes. The atmosphere is that of a lovely tearoom, and the mother and daughter double act behind the counter make it a lively, fun and cosy experience. All the cakes and scones are home made and the tea and coffee very good quality and the prices very reasonable. A wonderful find and a real shame we were only in the area for the weekend otherwise we'd be back!

Visited this hidden gem of a cafe in Whitley Bay with a group of 12 ladies catching up. Pre booked tables and everything ran smoothly. Food arrived piping hot. Staff very attentive and food all home made was delicious. Will certainly be returning

Popped in for breakfast after reading a review of the Eggs Benedict on Google. Such a welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and chatty staff. Followed covid guidelines. We called in at 9am for breakfast. My sister had the full English and I had the Highland - oh my goodness!! The best breakfast I've had in Whitley Bay, without a doubt! The coffee was lovely too, with a cheap top up for seconds. A really good spot and definitely one to come back to. (As we were leaving, some regulars were arriving, which also tells you something.) Very happy... and very full! :)

Just visited our favourite tea room. As usual felt very welcoming by Avril, the manager who is always in a jolly mood. So pleasing environment and relaxing for a nice beverage of your own choice however each of which is so delicious. Our favourites are usually hot chocolate, so tasty and delicious, accompanied by a lovely warm cheese scone, wow so good. Always a large selection of home made cakes, so beautifully presented and a wide variety of drinks to pick from. As advertised, a large selection of specialty tea that can be purchased at a very reasonable price. At this time of the year, iced and decorated home made Christmas cake at the purchasing price of £9.50 is available and tea hampers to order for a wonderful Christmas gift or for yourself as a treat. If you are looking for a nice and relaxing establishment in Whitley Bay, the Blue Bramble is the place for you and will always feel welcoming by the staff.

This review is dedicated to the superb 'in house' prepared Lemon Drizzle Cake. The cake is just superb in every respect. I have eaten many examples of Lemon Drizzle Cake in many establishments, not just locally, but around the Country. I have had the very occasional excellent Lemon Drizzle Cake but I can only recall one example that was close to the quality of that in The Blue Bramble.Just like everything else about the Blue Bramble, the Lemon Drizzle Cake is superb - long live The Blue Bramble!!

Super tearooms with the freshest most flavourful scones I have EVER eaten. Freshly-baked every day, apparently. I come from Cornwall in the West Country and nowhere there makes scones like these. Also, the price is more than competitive. For example, almost everywhere else I have been charged up to and over £2.30 per scone! These scones are almost half of that cost. The good value is further increased due to the size of the scones - about twice as large as what one would normally be served. The two young ladies who manage this teahouse are so kind, helpful and accommodating. Tea of all descriptions is provided here including a variety of coffees and other drinks as well as meals. Blue Berry is also very convenient as it is in the centre of Whitley Bay a short walk from the promenade and beaches. Love this place and having been twice already on my stay here, I will most certainly be going again. Brilliant!

This is just a delightful place to have anything from a coffee to full breakfast with options of delightful cakes.We have now visited many times and can only report big positives. It has become one of our two absolute favourite cafes in this area.The welcome is always warm, the service is always excellent. That applies to everyone who has come through the door while we have been there as well as us.Just go there - you won't regret it!

Came into this little teahouse to wait for my husband. Had a jasmine green tea and a slice of the most delicious Almond Torte! I honestly could’ve eaten the whole thing!! 😋 The staff/owners are so warm and friendly too. Totally recommend! Get yourself along!

This place is a must for breakfast brunch lovers, the quality of the meat is second to none, and the black pudding (from Scotland) is to die for! You must try this tearoom, and the cakes are amazing as well. Very friendly staff.

This place is a little gem! The coffee was just the way my wife & I like it and the scones were delicious! I had a fruit scone and my wife had a cheese scone, We both enjoyed them very much indeed. The staff are very friendly & helpful and I feel the charges were reasonable. What more could you ask for?

This place is too easy to walk by, which would be a shame, given its excellent range and quality of teas, coffee, cakes and the like. The team there have always remained attentive and helpful with my requirements. It does serve proper coffee as well, despite the name, and the cakes are all fresh and home baked. I seldom return to such places as I simply move on , but this is a regular fixture for me.

Ah, our favourite tea room. We have been frequenting this establishment for a while now. Most weeks, after a long walk on the beach, we seek a well deserved rest in this very welcoming, pleasant and friendly place. We have witnessed the enthusiasm of Avril and Clare in making the environment so inviting and their involvement in bringing new products to the delight of the customers. The cakes, scones and sandwiches are always fresh and so many other products to choose from. We are really spoiled for choices. A vast selection of hot and cold beverages are available such as hot chocolate and latte, the best in my opinion however they are indulging in offering a selection of different brands of tea amongst them,Earl Grey and Chai tea. The Blue Bramble Teahouse offers a very pleasant environment and we always appreciate the friendliness of Avril and Clare. Now they have a vast selection of different variety of tea which can be purchased to take home and this offers the opportunity for clients to indulge in the taste of different types of tea. A service that may not be offered in many other coffee/tea houses in Whitley Bay. Why not try the taste of the different tea and then buy your favourite one? One of the best placesto take a break in a very welcoming environment.

We went there to have breakfast and ordered the Highland Breakfast, the baguel with avocado, cucumber and cream cheese, the one with salmon and scrambled eggs with buttered toast. Everything was delicious and served pretty quickly!! I would personally recommend the peach blossom green tea!
