Sorcerer Coffee in Newcastle upon Tyne

Much better since the refit, and it was great before... More food on the menu now, including "proper" American style fresh sandwiches, which are made in full view of the store so you know what you're getting 🙏 Their coffee is amazing, even the decaf.

Great flat white- a little pricey at £3.40 but was good.

Got a flat white to go and was the nicest I’ve had in a while. The place was full when I got there so I unfortunately didn’t get to stay, fingers crossed I can next time.

Super little coffee shop under the railway arches. A good place for all wannabe hipsters and regular people alike. Retro decor and decent tunes. Coffee and lemon meringue pie were both great. Staff friendly.

Lovely cafe. The coffee and tea were really good especially the tea it’s one of the best honestly and the bakery was delicious.

The coffee and cake was delicious, lovely environment. However, made to feel very unwelcome. The guy that works there should consider how he says things. Firstly happy to close the door as we come in, felt the way we were asked was rude. Then I called my mum who is about to get a flight and had her on loud speaker for two seconds to check she was okay. Asked to turn it down or take it outside due to the volume. More than happy to do that as I don’t want to be rude, however I feel as soon as we came into the coffee shop, the way he approached us with the door and my call to my mum felt targeted. Felt so unwelcome and we left right away. The lady that worked there was lovely. Not returning again. Feel upset now, just wanted to enjoy a coffee instead of coming out feeling horrible. Never again.

Great coffee and food, boss playlist! My girlfriend and I visited Newcastle from Liverpool and Sorcerer was our first stop due to the good reviews, did not disappoint - will definitely be back at some point in the future Highly recommend it.

Robust and flavorful coffee. The sourdough toast from their breakfast menu was delightful, especially with the jam. Despite the time (3pm), they kindly offered breakfast options. The service was exceptionally friendly, and the ambiance with its cool decor made my experience enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot!

One of the best value for money coffee shops in Newcastle. Small menu but delivered to perfection. The Reuben toastie is full of flavour and the avocado toast is tasty. Coffee is always good. Highly recommend this place.

Popped in here for a coffee and croissant while in the area for business as I decided I'd rather patronise a small independent than a big chain or the hotel restaurant. It was a great choice! Friendly service, delicious coffee and warm croissant with lovely strawberry jam. Good job I don't live here or I'd be spending a lot of money here on coffee every day.

Rarely go to a coffee shop, where I feel genuinely relaxed and have a flawless experience. Not hard to please just don’t get out much. Sorcerer chief it every-time! Owning my own coffee shop makes you fully appreciate the effort and dedication that goes into building an experience, which is visible from the off. Sorcerer has fantastically curated coffee, interior and menu. Will always go it of my way to visit.

Cute hidden coffee shop in Newcastle!!! The dorm shaped rooftop and not too big not too small shop atmospheric was perfect. The staff was very kind as well. Wish to come back again.

Absolutely love this cafe! So tiny but so artsy. Good tea and croissant, friendly staff, amazing interior design. Can’t believe I just find out about this place. I will definitely come back. It becomes one of my fav spots in town now.

Fab wee coffee shop in an old railway arch. Amazing coffee (I had a flat white) and a nice selection of cakes, pastries and toasties. Lovely staff, fresh and comfortable interior, spotless toilets. Just 2 minutes walk from the Station - turn right out of the station building and right again, down Orchard St. Great work, guys!

Enjoyed a flat white, fresh hot banana bread and avocado toast from here. Heard the workers say oat milk was only milk alternative available. Comfortable space to sit and enjoy your food and drink!

Great find. Best coffee I've had in ages. An independent coffee shop. Lovely guys are giving good customer service. A must if you are in the area! 2 mins walk from the station. The cakes and rest of the menu look delicious, although it was too early to indulge for me.

Fabulous little cafe, Coffee and Sourdough Toastie to die for. Freshly prepared, chilled atmosphere. Nice guys serving very pleasant.

Amazing. The latte was spot on and the grilled cheese sandwich was unreal. Loved the attention to detail with the branding on the bottom of the latte cup and the hot chocolate cups matching the stickers.

One of my favourite places in the North East for a proper flat white. Occasionally I'll pick up avocado and toast for my breakie on the way to work and it's always spot on. Inside is a lovely lil' interior, in one of the railway arches, with retro furniture and local zines.

11/10 quality all around. From baked goods to coffee, everything is really well made. Pricing is fair for how it all tastes, and it's a lovely venue to sit in and sip.

Very cute, quiet, secluded corner close to the station, ideal for a layover. Speciality coffee and great choice of pastries. Haven’t tried the food as I grabbed takeaway, but it looked great! They deserve their name, they’re true coffee sorcerers 🙂 Highly recommended, certainly a must next time I’m in town.

A lovely little spot that was open on Easter Sunday. Coffee was great and the avo on toast was delicious. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Newcastle.

They were closing over two hours early and would not let me use the toilet. The coffee looked good but rude staff!

Never write reviews, but I came to this neat little cafe with a few friends a few months ago on a whim, probably the best small cafe in Newcastle. They play some banging music, the grilled cheese I had was the best I've had in a while, as well as the beautifully fragrant mocha. Would give a 6/5 if I could!

I encountered this cafe in an accident, it’s small but really warm and nice, I love to seat in there and chat with frds, and the yogurt bowl is so good! Can’t wait to visit again!

I just arrived in the UK by ferry, the promised bus to the city center never came, so I walked to the nearest metro, while it was pouring outside. After about an hour I arrived near my hostel, everything was either wet or cold or both, when I stumbled into this tiny but cozy café. It's warm, the coffee is great, they have banana cake, this is literally the first nice thing that happened to me on this island. 5/5 would visit again (once my clothes are dry)

A really great cup of coffee. Superb brownie... moist and delicious, crumbling beautifully in the mouth. A wonderful cheese sourdough toastie with a gorgeous chilli dip. Really enjoyed this hidden gem today.
