A charming little cafe with the most polite staff I've ever met in Newcastle. Came in here for a quick bite to eat while waiting for my partner's appointment across the road and it was such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Was even treated to a free hash brown 🍳 If I'm ever around the area again I'll definitely pop in again!

Such a nice lady works here! I had set menu 3 breakfast £4.50. It took five minutes to get to me. It was well prepared and very good. Regulars are happy around me and music is upbeat at the right level. I’m glad I’m staying near here. It’s a comfort knowing my breakfast is sorted.

I have recently moved back to Newcastle and after seeing the fantastic reviews I decided to see for myself I can honestly say this is one of the best fry ups I've ever had and the lady that runs the place is awesome I shall be a regular from now on that's for sure

I have to say that this little cafe serves one of the best fried breakfasts I have ever had! If you are in Newcastle and you want a fried breakfast there is nowhere else to go (and make sure you get the fried bread, divine) and the value for money is amazing £7.20 for a lovely breakfast and a mug of tea! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!!

I went along at 07:20 on Tue March 21st 2023 ... and it was not open :-/ So, I can't say it was good or bad, but it certainly was not open for breakfast when I visited. A local told me that the cafe was normally open at the time I visited ... so I hope all is well with the people who run it.

Me and my partner went for breakfast, their is plenty of options on the menu, extremely good value for money. Gorgeous full English. What made the visit even better is how walm and welcoming the lady was that served us she always smiled while delivering excellent service I will definitely be going back in. My partner left a tip as we was very pleased with are visit and the lady then tried to give us some pop in return bless her, we couldn't except the pop as the tip was for her amazing service and quality breakfast. Anyone passing by I highly recommend going in

I've been here a couple of times with my daughter and it's superb. Great food at a cracking price. The two ladies running the café are super friendly. You could not get a better breakfast in Newcastle.

I'm so glad finally open again. We have missed our breakfasts. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic and friendly, and the price is great for what you get. Would recommend it to anyone.

The greeting I got was second to none - My assumption is a mother/daughter business. Prices are fantastic. The below cost me £6.40 in total. The food itself was cooked really well. The bacon was fantastic and eggs cooked exactly how I like it. Sauces & Salt n Pepper all ready too! Three choices of tea which I thought was a nice touch - I went for Yorkshire Tea! Overall a very easy 5* Review & would HIGHLY recommend anyone who’s hungry for breakfast come here!

I visited here with my family for some food, amazing size portions, friendly welcoming ladies, fab pricing for 5 of us it was less than £30.00, the kids had chicken nuggets and chips and they loved them, I had a hot beef stottie and it was delicious, meat was cooked perfectly, my mam has a full English and it was a huge potion and she loved everything about it, if your looking for a family friendly cafe then don’t miss out on this one, we I’ll visit again for sure

Honestly I go here as much as I can to be honest. Its amazing food with great value for money. I usually go for my full English breakfast fills me up with out a doubt every time as the portions you get to start is well worth it, im greedy and my eyes are usually too big for my stomach so I always ask the very kind owner of the cafe to add me 2 extra sausages and extra mushrooms. I cant express enough how good the cafe is. Hygiene of the cafe is really good and kept to good standards. Id highly suggest anyone wanting good filling and good value meals get yourself to Salt and Pepper cafe on the west road. Hope you guys and gals enjoy it as much as I do. I will put another review up and add images next time so look for my next review, it will be labelled #2 , this is #1 . 5/5* people.

Me and my family stopped here before heading to Airport (Parking right out side was handy)absolutely lovely we all had for breakfasts they were massive some feed all freshely cooked by loveliest Women, top food, brilliant price. My only problem is dont live in Newcastle because if we did would definitely be regulars, thank you.

On my daughter's recommendation we had a most delicious breakfast lunch at the very friendly cafe. Prompt friendly service. Comfy seating for 18. Very clean. Light & airy. Friendly attentive staff. What more can I say about Salt and Pepper? The food is absolutely beautiful (I usually get the vegetarian breakfast), the staff are lovely and never stop working - there're just the two of them and at times it gets very busy but they are never abrupt or rude - the atmosphere is great too and they're licensed to play music so the radio is on all the time too. Here's hoping that this little place never changes!

Stumbled upon this place, around 5/10 mins from central station. Great breakfasts and very quick service. Everything is cooked fresh and staff are very flexible with food orders. Not to be missed!

I visited this cafe with my friend and we both ordered the full English breakfast. The lady had no issues with changing our black pudding for an extra piece of bacon and the food came very fast and was hot! The cafe is very clean, couldn't fault anything! Will be back & would recommend for a quick lunch if passing.
