The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in North East

Very disappointed in Geek Retreat. Went in with my boyfriend to get his cards valued, stood at the desk for like 5 mins and the person behind the desk did not great us and when we asked if they were busy they responded rudely “no…” we didn’t know they weren’t busy as they were typing on the computer and there was a person already at the desk looking at cards. Not great customer service from the person on the front desk. Then they do not give a good percentage of the cards value, this was explained before they went into get valued but 30% is extremely low. When my boyfriend collected his binder a few days ago they were covered in a residue and and they’re was finger prints all over the cards which reduces the cards resale value if he did want to sell them elsewhere. Honestly unhygienic.

Lovely little place with pleasant, friendly staff. Ketso chicken burger = delish, No' 9 burger = "beautiful, BLT = Lovely but too much for my wife. Great coffee too.

Bad pint but barmaid said it was sound so I drank it

Tiny place on the main street but also had seating inside. Staff in here are fast and efficient. You can get plenty of different sandwiches cold or hot and a small selection of cakes as well. The quality of the sandwiches are pretty high they even shredd the lettuce finely so they obviously do a lot of prep work. Good flavours and ok bread. Decent place for a snack if you can find some parking on the side streets.

Enjoyed our small breakfast and latte coffee here today whilst on holiday. Friendly, attentive and polite staff, definitely better than last week at Moorlands, Owler Bar before we came away as food did not repeat so to speak.

A taste explosion… The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The ambience and the decor in Lola Jeans is fantastic and the food was delicious. We don't have big appetites so we ordered the vegan platter to share and it was more than enough for both of us. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and not the usual predictable vegan stuff. It included: Felafel. vegan meat loaf, chilli broccoli with soft stems and crispy florets, tomato hummus with beetroot ketchup and harissa dip. The beetroot ketchup was a flavour explosion and the best I've tasted. The platter was accompanied by triple cooked chips, pittas and salad. My partner also ordered a side of tater tots which were yummy. I tried one of the exotic-sounding beers and opted for the tropical ipa which was fruity and refreshing. We'll definitely be visiting LJ's next time we're in Tynemouth as it's some of the best vegan food we've had and we need to try the vegan burger.

Superb dining experience. Visited for the valentines menu and not only were the 6 courses excellent with the wine pairing but the staff were even better.

Buena comida, buen ambiente en una zona de vibraciones. Nuestra red principal (alcachofa y pan plano) era muy agradable, creo que estábamos un poco decepcionados por el entrante de compartir verduras, un poco deslucido.

Had a confirmed booking for 12/04. Failed to tell me it has closed down?

As I entered asking if they were open for coffee the member of staff with a red t-shirt and a pony tail was rude and just grunted. She then proceeded to serve every other customer except me. They were buying alcoholic drinks whilst I waited at the coffee counter and she knew I was stood there waiting for her to serve me. There was no direction of where I was meant to order. Then I asked the other member of staff and she said “well you can order where you like and we are busy” So rude. I was eventually served the coffees but I will not be coming here again and I do not recommend anyone else does for coffee. If they do not want to serve coffee at a busy time, then they should not be open for it.

Had a fantastic afternoon at the bottomless brunch, great selection of cocktails, food was lovely with plenty to choose from, our server Laura was amazing, really friendly and kept us topped up with cocktails 5 star service thankyou,will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Summer behind the bar is EXCELLENT at her job, she’s very good at communicating and friendly. We enjoyed the food, much more flavour wise than we were expecting from a pub! Good selection of wines and Hozier playing, what more could you want. Will be back x
