Really lovely atmosphere but quite a long wait for food which was fairly mediocre. I had the vegan burger which was overdone and horrendously dry and the chips felt a bit under done- they were in no one triple cooked for any of us. It was also completely drenched in not very nice Sriracha mayo so I'd recommend asking for sauce on the side. One of my friends had the chicken tacos which she said were drenched in sauce/vinegar so the taco was wet and she could taste none of the supposed Korean seasoning. However, another had the loaded fries which they said were really nice. The wait staff were absolutely lovely and the girl on her trial shift did a fantastic job! Just a shame we waited so long for the food. Also, the price felt quite high for such poor food but given the area I guess it makes sense.

I had the Duke burger & skinny fries! Burger was scrumptious. Service was not the greatest. Slow and didn't check on us for 30+ min while we were waiting on the check.

We wanted to try somewhere different so we came here to lola jeans in tynemouth, it was easy to find set back from the main street , we walked in and the restaurant looked beautiful, we had a table already booked for 5pm not many people were in at that time which was perfect, the service was perfect the food was amazing, overall experience was exceptional thank you we will be back again we loved it

Visited Lola Jeans in Tynemouth today for Dinner & I can't leave it less than 5 stars. The food was delicious 😋. Ordered the Korean chicken Tacos & the Mac'n'cheese with a side of triple cooked chips to share. Both the food & drinks were very reasonably priced. The young lad that took our order was full of smiles, made sure we had no allergies to report & was very pleasant 😊. Food & drinks came in great time sowe weren't left drinkless by the time our food arrived. Great trendy bar restaurant. Lovely friendly welcoming staff. I was recommended to try by a friend. The venue itself is really nice and looks a great spot for drinks. However, we waited about 70 minutes for our food after being told it was a 45 minute wait. The mac and cheese fries were lovely but we went to try the burgers. I went for the James P Sullivan burger which was a massive disappointment. The monster munch topping was stale and the beef in the burger was definitely frozen processed crap. I was expecting two smashed patties like you would get at Brack Burger. Instead this was something you would get from a beef eater chain or Greene King chain. To make it worse the bill was £143 for 4 adults and 1 child. I don’t mind paying a premium when the food is top quality but I could have went to the Foxhunters up the street and paid a third of that for the same sort of food. Overall, I would definitely return for drinks but not for food.

Accommodating well with average tasting food. Some meals were hotter than others. Longer strand of HAIR was found in one meal/burger and although apologies were given and fresh meal given - needed to note / Chefs - wear your hair up/covered! No discounts offered. Dirty surroundings / sticky floor throughout. Best for drinks! Would not return for food, wayyy too expensive for the quality received.

We arrived for a 5pm booking. Nothing later available? Straight in, straight to our table drinks and food menu on hand. Unfortunately we were sat at a table next to a table of 7 women celebrating a 27th birthday. They were screaming and shouting over the top of each other to be heard. It was painfully loud! Spoiling the atmosphere, luckily their food arrived but it didn't stop the noise, they finished with necking a round of shots, then argued about who owed what off the bill. They left halfway through our meal which changed the ambience immediately. Our burgers were well cooked, very juicy and tasty great cheese and bacon fries upgrade. Service was very good. Attentive to needs and drinks. It's a hit and miss if you get a bunch of loud people in. But we would try it again.

Pleasant bar with range of drinks, including a good cocktail menu. Decor is modern and lovely. Staff friendly. Not tried food here but it looked popular with diners.

Coming off a beachside walk in muggy conditions, we couldn’t face the prospect of cooking when we got home so we decided to give Lola Jeans in Tynemouth a family visit for the first time. The place was busy but we were seated promptly and menus/drink orders were quickly taken by the very friendly & efficient servers. There were plenty tempting items on offer and we all chose something different (see pictures). We were warned that, as it was so busy, the food would take a little while. It did but it was worth the wait. All dishes were very nicely presented &, apart from the somewhat bland fish tacos, were packed with flavour. Accompanying sauces/dips were good too. Definitely a return sooner rather than later & further exploration of the menu planned.

A fantastic find by us during an unplanned trip to Tynemouth. Great ambience, excellent food and drinks. We particularly enjoyed Leslie Chow Burger. Probably the best burger tasted by me so far.

Food as always was very good, it's hard to go wrong with the steak platter, the chips are amazing and the pots of sauce are a very generous size. It's hard to choose a favourite between the Lola's sauce and the steak sauce. It's nice to go somewhere that also serves Beavertown Gamma Ray and not just the standard Neck Oil. The service however was very poor, the restaurant was busy for a Monday night and I don't really agree with busy restaurants also offering Just Eat, as it slows down the food service and it took almost two hours to have 2 drinks and a main meal. We did have a lot of sympathy for the sole waitress as she was completely overrun and it wasn't fair on her.

I really like this place. I personally prefer it to the Newcastle City centre, sister venue.

Good was really nice however the service was excellent. Visited with our 2 kids and nothing was too much trouble. Food took a while to come so the staff knocked off a few drinks from the bill without even us asking /complaining. Staff were so friendly and good was great.. what's more to like?

Outstanding food and excellent service. We both had steak, one medium rare with the sauces put on the side as requested rather than over the steak and fries, and the other the rare steak over salad and a side of sweet potatoe chips. It was just the best meal, cooked to perfection and oh, so tasty.

Reccomended by our BnB, we prebooked here. Very poppular place and very instragrammable and wee bit on the pricey side. It was really busy which resulted in a delay but it was worth the wait. The burger and tacos and the tater tots side were really really tasty. Love that they do mocktails too. We did feel full but we managed to share a dessert, it was a little bit of let down as you cohld tell it had been microwaved.

Initially overwhelmed by the extensive menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the standout dishes. The Nashville Chicken tenders were a true delight, boasting spectacular flavors that left us wanting more. Equally impressive was the perfectly marinated and breaded Calamari, which was a hit at our table. Our group sampled a variety of main menu items, each satisfying our taste buds in its own way. The Lola Classic burger was an excellent choice, though one patty proved to be more than sufficient. The Signature Steak Platter was generously portioned and enjoyed by several family members, while the Steak Frites, though a classic, were well worth the wait. Overall, Lola Jean’s provided a fantastic dining experience for both large groups and couples alike. The catering staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests, enhancing our overall enjoyment. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Eaten here for 15 years I’m now physically and mentally disabled n my take order was dropped to prioritise walk in customers with no pre order or table booked and he wouldn’t speack to any staff who know I eat here 2/3 times a week so because I can’t leave my house today I’m being discriminated against and will inform trading standards mp and local council and company owner. With my social worker on Monday. Tynemouth was all about community n now clearly it’s just greed

Fantastic cocktails both in taste and presentation. Solid variety and quality of food, though pricey for what they are. Three of the mains available are vegan and most of the sides too. Saturday afternoon, the wait for food was quite long.

Brilliant atmosphere shxt food waited an hour for bunt chips processed chicken n warm salad very poor would never go here for food ever waitress looked scruffy and seemed uninterested lot of under age drinkers also

The place is decorated really nice and the staff are really friendly and helpful with any queries you might have about the menu. The food choice is really good and it is really tasty too. I loved the drink menus so much choice and we didn't have wait for a table too.

Was recommended the venue and it didn’t not disappoint, we were greeted by friendly staff, the place had a nice vibe to it. We started with halloumi fires which were very good and loved the dipping sauce. We ordered the stake salad and James P Sullivan burger both were amazing and really good value. We had to wait a little while for our table, but no stress just had a drink at the bar while waiting. My wife had the steak plater, me & my son had lolas classic burger, all with chunky chips . The staff were very friendly as always, even offered a drink on the house because of the delay waiting on table . Will definitely be back soon .

After a disastrous visit to The View where we had to walk out, we came upon Lola Jeans. They say things happen for a reason and I would gave to agree. What a lovely place friendly welcome & gorgeous food would definitely recommend.

On a short break we were keen to stay local and looking at the reviews and local recommendations it led us to Lola Jeans. Whilst the staff were excellent the food was terrible. We ordered a previously award winning burger, calamari and kind prawn loaded fries. The burger was barely warm, the cheese had congealed, there were two soggy sad fried pickles secreted in the top bun. A scrap of dark thin meat which I think was salt beef the size of a fifty pence piece. The red onion jam which tasted like feet was on the bottom. There was meant to be ranch sauce and possibly something else but it wasn’t recognisable. The patties were surprisingly pink, with no colour or caramelisation which I found odd for an award winning burger. I didn’t venture further than one bite. Altogether quite unpleasant. The squid rings had freezer burn on, noticeable through the salt and pepper coating. difficult to achieve when fresh and done to order so credit where credit is due. However the taste was foul. Side salad ok Chips are shop bought which is so painful when you go to a place which hinges on stuff and things with chips Also 1 1/2 prawns on a handful of freezer fries is offensive as a thing which is a dish, and put the ingredients on the menu if you are going for the edgy minimalist approach

Great for a casual night out. Booked on line. We were told there would be a 40 minute wait for food but we didn’t mind. Katie our waitress was very attentive and bent over backwards to accommodate me, as I’m gluten free. Such a refreshing change to have lots of choice and help with the menu and not be made to feel a nuisance. The food when it came was piping hot, well presented and delicious. My husband, who knows his burgers, said it was the best burger he’s ever had! Definitely worth a visit! Well done Lola Jeans and well done Katie 👏

We visited early in the evening on a Monday with our 4 month old. Staff were happy to accommodate the pram - there are 2 steps as you enter which we were able to carry the pram up fine. The server came promptly and asked for our drinks order - we never felt rushed and the servers were fantastic at checking in the whole meal. We ordered halloumi fries and chicken tenders to start and "battle of the burger winners" for mains. All of the food was fantastic - really flavourful, cooked well and we weren't waiting too long for any of the courses. The restaurant did get surprisingly busy for a Monday night as the evening went on so would recommend booking a table.

I ordered the fish tacos which I had on a previous visit and thought where lovely, but this time they were awful, more watery lettuce taco! The water just poured out of the taco when biting into it! My husband ordered the surf and turf, eagerly awaited this as it sounded lovely, but when it arrived it was a steak sliced and fanned out to make it look bigger with 3 sad looking prawns on top, disappointing! Waiting staff where lovely, venue nice, but food yuck

We popped in today during the mouth of Tyne festival as it was belting down and my son wanted his favourite dish (lola jeans mac and cheese).. As expected it was fully booked but the waitress was so helpful she found us seats in the window where we managed to grab our son his dinner and we had a few drinks. She got our dog a bowl of water, catered for our fussy kid who has no garnish/salad/green bits and talked to him throughout about getting hot chocolates etc and was just a lovely happy lass. Never bother leaving reviews but she was such a nice girl that I've made the effort to in the hope its recognised. Dark hair in pigtails with a nose ring and a big smile. Looking forward to returning!

Steak Frites was delicious with amazing sauce. Good portion size ! Unfortunately the "Ultimate" prawn dirty fries had at most 2 prawns in and the chips were really salty - not good value for money on the sides. Service and drinks were good.

Third time visiting, all 5 star reviews. Burger menu is challengingly difficult to choose which delicious combo to choose from, but the good news is, no matter what choice you won’t be disappointed 5* food and service, very accommodating to toddler and pooch

We had a part of 6 including 2 dogs and the Staff were extremely welcoming and catered to our every need. We had 2 vegans in our group and they were extremely impressed with the 40 Year Old Vegan Burger. The food arrived quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal. This is one of our favourite spots as it is great for families, catching up with friends or even a date!

Very good food and service was amazing from Dale. Went for my mums birthday meal and he went above and beyond to make her meal special and even found a candle when he brought out her cake to sing happy birthday. She is into seafood and they made up a seafood platter which was amazing. Would 100% recommend and will be back.

Had a great weekend visiting Tynemouth which ended in the best bar of the night absolutely fab atmosphere, great food and the best cocktails of the night. We will definitely be back!!!!

I went in for a late lunch (about 2pm) on a Friday and there were a few empty tables. It's table service and I was quickly brought a menu and asked for a drinks order. They have a lot of different things on tap but they also have a great cocktail menu. The food is mostly burgers but I was told they've won awards for their burgers and, after getting a Cluck Norris chicken burger, I'm not surprised! It was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I was only sorry I didn't have enough time in Tynemouth to go back and get one of their beef burgers! I also got a salted caramel ice cream cheesecake, which was delicious. The staff were all lovely, really helpful and friendly. Service was prompt but you're absolutely not rushed. The atmosphere was relaxed and even though there weren't many people there, it didn't feel empty. It just felt very chilled. They do allow well behaved dogs, and there were a few in there, so if you're going for a walk nearby it's a great place to stop for food. Overall I would definitely recommend going here and if I get the chance, I'll be coming back.
