Very disappointed this previously pleasant cafe is now a "sweetie shop".
Still selling teas and coffees (slowly) in takeaway containers; but the focus is clearly now "takeaway".
We were staying at the hotel and so had our dinner here in the evening. I think it is only at present open to hotel guests which is why tripadvisor thinks it is currently closed?

Service is excellent as ever, the venue is clean, smart as usual, but to have no lemon (or lime) on the premises for a G&T
What an amazing find! Others had wonderfully generously filled breakfast rolls and I had the best scones EVER, one savoury, one sweet. Such friendly service too, What's not to like!?

Excellent music but no stupid loud so
Two of us were happy to return here for another good carvery meal. Once again the Roast Beef was some of the tenderest and tastiest we have eaten. The vegetables were all piping hot and freshly cooked
Went for Sunday lunch carvery and can honesty say was the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had, 4 choices of meat and all fresh Veg even Had my favourite mushy peas.
Busy place but very well organised.
