We booked a meal to end our trip away and were not disappointed. With all the tables full, service was prompt with all the dishes beautifully presented and very tasty. Special thanks to Gary, Sian, and both Lucys!

Delicious traditional afternoon tea. Various savoury and sweet items with a small bottle of Prosecco and fruit tea. Lots of choice, beautifully presented by friendly staff. Had to take some home as unable to eat it all. Highly recommend.

We had an hour to kill and called in here for breakfast. We both ordered a full breakfast. It came quickly and contained good quality ingredients that were cooked perfectly. A delightful pit stop.

The place is charming. I recommend booking because it is a small place. Service was quick and staff very kind and efficient. Food was delicious but there were few options to our taste. The veggie options are few but available.

Below Charters the tea room , just an open doorway leading downstairs to the restaurant, has not been open very long, so the staff are trying very hard, give them the pleasure of your company, and en joy a good meal.

Have visited a few times as the kids love the Hot chocolate here. Although they serve meals ( Sunday lunches etc) we tend to pop in for a drink and a cake. The hot chocolate is lovely not too sweet and the coffee actually seems to be made of coffee beans rather than flavoured water you get in some places. There is usually a good selection of homemade cakes and desserts, caramel shortbread, rocky road etc. Today we had the nutella cheesecake which was beautiful. tasty not too dry so did not need any cream or anything to go with it.. The service is always friendly and helpful and they always talk to the children and make them feel at home. Prices and portions are very reasonable. I am sure we will visit here many more times.

It was late Saturday afternoon and we had been travelling south on the A1 from Edinburgh since the early morn. We needed a break and a bite to eat, but refused to stop at a gas station or a fast food place to satisfy our hunger. We left the A1 and found a little bistro/cafe called "Seventeen". By this time it was 4:00pm and much to our dismay, they were closing up for the day. When we explained our circumstance they went into overdrive and set us up with sandwiches, fries and the most heavenly desserts! Thank you so much everyone who stayed behind...it was so appreciated!

Buena relación calidad-precio, un menú sencillo de sándwiches hechos a pedido, chaquetas, ensaladas y tartas. Sabroso, comida fresca para llevar (una pequeña sentarse en la mesa. )
