Great find! Good selection of drinks, amazing beer garden, a real sun trap. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and would definitely visit again.

What a delightful spot in BC. I had the authentic West African Jerk Chicken. The cakes and sandwiches looked devine. Thanks.

This is a great permanent 'pop up bar' that is a quirky little hidden gem. The bar is in a small shack type building with some tables and chairs. Outside under cover are several booths along with 2 patio area that are a sun trap, assuming it is sunny in Barnard Castle!! Access is via a alleyway signposted off the main street with music guiding you in to the bar, great music was played when there Prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend that you visit this place and experience the great atmosphere. I understand there are occasionally food vendors that serve snacks but there is no fixed food offering.

Great find, tucked away off the main street. Plenty of seating inside and out, hardest part is deciding where to sit. The staff were cheerful, and that is what makes a good bar in my opinion. Will certainly visit again next time we are there.

Found this place by walking in the sign (not looking where I was going) Everywhere was heaving , not this place, and not for any negative reasons. Can only assume people just miss it. Great indoor & outdoor areas. Not big selection on draught but tickled my taste buds - Well recommend

Came across this gem while out shopping. The service was excellent, but the sangria was out of this world. Planning an extended visit in the next day or 2.

A lovely find hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. This bar is cosy and beautiful! Space inside and out. A perfect spot for friends to go for a drink or a couple for a quiet drink. We came twice whilst in the area and would highly recommend and wish we could’ve stayed longer. We would highly recommend the Sangria (just buy a jug, it’s worth it)!

Loved this bar, well worth a visit. It is down an alley from main street just before the crossing. We visited twice whilst on holiday and enjoyed the sangria and some cider. We were able to sit at the newly revamped benches outside with umbrellas great when it was raining on our first visit. Lovely colourful plants. Friendly staff, clean quaint toilets. We will be returning when next in Barnard Castle. It is also pet friendly.

Lovely bar, great atmosphere and would recommend and visit again. But wasn't happy with some of us being given gin in plastic cups...we did point this out and the manager/owner was helpful but bar staff were reluctant to give us a glass

Probably our most favourite place. We visit every weekend. Always assured a warm welcome from Scott,Sarah and Davey the “dog father “ who feeds the dogs treats and fresh water. We love the drink specials especially the summer sangria The sunny beer garden is the best kept secret when the sun is shining it’s the only we know where sun cream is provided what a nice little touch. Keep up the great work guys.

Having walked around Barnard Castle looking for a decent pint of cider we came across this little gem in the middle of town which sold a really good pint of Sharps cider. The bar staff were friendly and the owners made you feel welcome and like a friend. Nice little sun trap and dog friendly. Well done to the crobar for daring to be different.

They serve a good range of drinks including craft ales, beers and gins, and have brilliant staff. Indoor and outdoor seating in a secluded little nook of Barnard castle. Can highly recommend this cafe very friendly and great atmosphere our dogs love going here. It has been awhile since we visited due to our health issues popped in today and look forward to going back again. You walk in passed a few outside tables up the internal stairs to a packed room that has a buzz about it. If you're into gardening there is a beautiful display of house plants in various containers. It was pa ked and we waited ten minutes for a table, but the turnover is quick and staff are efficient. We only had coffee and cake but will decorate go back for lunch having seen everyone else eating.
