⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Battered & Fried – A Proper Chippy Gem!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Without a doubt, the best Fish & Chips I’ve had in the last few years. From the first bite, it was clear these folks know exactly what they’re doing. ⭐️ The chips were absolutely perfect – golden, crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, just how they should be. The 5oz fish was spot on – a lovely, fresh piece of cod, flaky and white, falling into chunks the moment my fork touched it. You could tell it was top quality. ⭐️ The batter was a standout – light, crisp, and just the right thickness, with no greasy residue like you find at far too many other places these days. To top it all off, the staff were incredibly friendly, cheerful, and more than happy to help with anything – which just made the experience even better. Highly recommend – this place is a cut above the rest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best place in Boro to eat as a vegetarian. My partner and I regularly frequent Vedge, and it is our favourite restaurant. The food is absolutely tasty, well seasoned and great portion sizes. I always look forward to eating here and the staff are so lovely and attentive.

We happened upon the cafe as we do not know the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a genuine positive vibe in the cafe. We ordered two sandwiches with fries. They arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit.

What a gem! A really good selection of beers and ciders, friendly service and cool vibes! When I visited, a very talented guy was singing live which made my time here absolutely perfect.

This place is soo underrated!! I eat here often, especially after my gym sessions. The food is delicious and so affordable. The only thing I'd say is it'd be nice to include the nutritional info (calories, protein, etc) in the menu, I'd asked them to do this months ago as well, hopefully they add this soon

Had the panini with falafel. Absolutely amazing, homemade falafel. Visited today while wandering Hexham and found it by chance. Staff and food were fantastic. Managed to grab a seat outside which made it even better. Beautiful little place and staff were polite, and on the ball. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants some nice quality food at a good price.

Went in for our second visit today. Just a light lunch but everything was lovely. Nice, laid back and friendly vibe. Reasonably priced and the food was very nice. Really I'm reviewing this place on what I saw happen today when I was just minding my own business eating my lunch with my son. A lady came in on her own and quietly let the waitress know she was homeless and someone had told her the place might be able to offer her something to eat. She wasn't demanding, she was very quietly spoken and seemed a little embarrassed about asking. The waitress chatted with her for a while and then briefly had to go into the kitchen - I think to get my lunch. Out of the kitchen came a guy who spent a little time with the lady and said that the restaurant had offered some free meals at Xmas for people in need but it was just a one off. He then very kindly offered her something anyway and the waitress came back out, they carried on chatting and the lady was given some lunch and a drink. No fuss was made, it was all done very quietly and because no one else was in I overheard bits of what was going on. What a lovely thing.

This place is just 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 We visited on a Saturday lunch, which due to events in the city we were the only table apart from another two who were dining. Staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They were attentive and not pushing or too over bearing. The menu had a good variety it was hard to actually decide on what to have! The bread was Devine, we all had a starter, main and dessert. Wow. The food was so good, fully of flavour, cooked to perfection and the presentation was stunning. Would definitely go back for dinner and see what the service would be like with a busier restaurant. Nevertheless it was worth every penny and would recommend.

Delicious foods in Sri Lankan style with different spicy levels. Great customer service and easy vehicle parking. After a long time we enjoy with amazing Sri Lankan foods with masala tea.

We were really disappointed when the store closed on the Vallley however we just discovered the food truck on the Quayside. The potato curry wrap was amazing and the husband really like Goan rice bowl. We will visit again.

I had the best treat for a sunny and warm day like today… delicious homemade tiramisu in a pot ☺️ grazie mille!

We have been to The Fox and Tree quite a bit of late and believe me it’s an outstanding pub/restaurant excellent service from a great bunch of people who make you feel so welcome! The food is good REALLY good and we have never been disappointed in any way it’s always been a top notch experience Compliments to the chefs today folks beautiful as ever and without doubt the BEST fish and chips I’ve ever tasted! I’ve looked forward to trying them all week and they definitely didn’t disappoint 😋 Angela’s chicken dish was sumptuous as well 👏
