V-EDGE in Middlesbrough

Unfortunately we are not able to review the food. It looked like a lovely welcoming place with a fabulous menu on entry but unfortunately the establishment were unable to provide highchair for our 1 year old (fussy little one who won’t settle just eating in his pram) so we had to eat else where. Just a word of warning for those with none chill babies. Looking forward to eating here if they get highchairs in the future.

Feel so lucky to have this place on my doorstep. Amazing food & service. Brought my meat eating boyfriend and he had the burger, said it was the best burger he had ever eaten (inc meat ones). Excited to come again to try for myself 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Such friendly, welcoming service and great for regular customers with their loyalty card. The food always tastes wonderful; cooked fresh and good size portions - my photo shows two of the brunch side dishes.

The gem of Middlesbrough, I have even brought my meat-eating friends here knowing they would enjoy it as much as any other restaurant. Even the breakfast menu is amazing with the best French toast I have ever had!

I feel like the food was great despite not necessarily being my thing. The poor lady who was the waitress and every other role was overworked and she was wearing too many hats which is why I'll give service a 3. She was brilliant but just too much work for one person.

As a vegan restaurant, I have a slight bias but if you're reading this you must be at least interested. I'd seen V-Edge on social media and really wanted to experience it. I went early in the afternoon, so it was quite quiet. The interior has something of a diner feel, with a beautiful neon light feature. I can't recall what music was playing but I did enjoy it and complimented the overall atmosphere. The service was wonderful, from arrival to departure, warm and friendly, someone that genuinely seemed to love working there. As you'd expect, the menu is fully vegan. Due to the time of day I got the brunch menu. There was a great variety of sweet and savoury dishes, with a diner style orientation. The food was lovely, a homely delight and well seasoned. Plus, the portion size was on the generous side. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great experience. I'll definitely be returning if I'm in the area.

I have been here at least four times. Given that it’s out of town and I have kids who are not allowed entry (most of the week) that’s still not as often as I’d like. We used to get takeaways from here before it opened as a restaurant and I’m proud of their success. Including all the takeaways and visits we have never once had a bad meal or bad service. The establishment is always clean and the theming and music provide for good atmosphere. Recently I had a health scare and going here this time for a date night was a celebration to good health. Once again a flawless experience.

I absolutely love going here with my boyfriend. Amazing vegan food that's so filling and tastes so good. The waitress is lovely and so kind. They play early 90-2000s music mostly, I love it. Service is fast and really well done. I'd recommend the Phat Stacks and the hot chocolate :) Definitely worth a visit!

Without a doubt the best vegan food I’ve ever had. Super yummy and huge portions. Slowly making our way through the menu. Need to exercise some self control so we can start the desserts.

I was really happy to find this place when I needed a vegan dinner near my hotel in the centre of Middlesbrough. The vegan parmo was very tasty, as was the waffle I had for dessert. The lady who served me was really friendly and helpful. My only regrets are that I'm not here tomorrow to try something else on the menu, and I didn't have any cash to leave a tip.

I came here for a takeaway and the food is great. I was very curious about the seitan burger option name Death Breath. Caught my interest right away. 😁 I loved it. One of the best vegan burgers I've had. The staff were also very friendly and the atmosphere is very cosy.

This place is amazing! We bought food at their market stall, and weren’t sure what to expect from their own veggie/vegan patties, but they were phenomenal! +10 points for their social media activity too: feels super down to earth and easy to be a customer! Definitely will eat in one day soon, if nothing but to try their desserts range too!

This is the best vegan restaurant and food I have ever been to (in 10 years of being vegan I’ve been to so many!) the staff and owners are just the best and the food tastes incredible!

Came here after work with some friends and honestly so impressed. The best vegan food we have ever had. One of our party wasn't too excited to come here and ended up having the best time. The waitress was so friendly and welcoming! I would recommend 100%

I always love coming to V-edge. The food is always amazing and really good value for what you get. Even my non-vegan friends and family agree and come often. All the staff are genuinely so friendly and the atmosphere is great - always got a bangin playlist going as well! It's my favourite place to eat out, both for the evenings and weekend brunch. 5* every time.

Great food but not family friendly (they ban kids under 14). The reason for the ban is they no likely haven't applied for a children's licence extension with the local council.

Our favourite place ever with the loveliest owners who go above and beyond and have SO much passion in their business. It’s a great vibe inside and we also love takeaways too! Food is outstanding!!

The best things I've ever eaten and the best people in town! The 'Murican burger is beyond phenomenal, and if you like a little spice the Buffalo Bill is honestly the best buffalo burger you will EVER eat even if you're omni. Only once have I had a problem with a burger (it was too salty) and they immediately sorted it out with no issues or questions. I just had to let the server know and the chef himself came out to help. Bottom line: a sound group of people and some absolutely amazing food. I'll be back at least once a week! The team at Vedge should be super proud of the place!

Sunday brunch is dog friendly! Really enjoyed the chonky plate which was delish... As it was a Sunday afternoon and I was driving, I didn't sample the cocktails - that's for next time 😎

I come here often with my partner (who isn't vegan) we both love their food. I'm a vegetarian and have lactose intolerance so it's nice to go somewhere that has lots of options for me to eat. Their food can be on the experience side to go often however, it is always worth it and the staff are all lovely.

Visited today. Party of three at 6pm. We had frickles. Various burgers, and loaded fries. And a couple of cocktails. All recommended. Excellent service, too.

Great restaurant and the food was amazing! Friendly staff and very large portions of food. I actually had to get some of it to go. For bonus points, check out the artwork in the bathroom. If you have been a vegan for more than 20 minutes you will really appreciate it.

Highly recommend this place! I have never eaten somewhere with such a variety of vegan food to choose from. Not only that but the portions were big and the flavours were insane. Everything was handmade, fresh and tasted incredible. The customer service we received just topped off and all round wonderful experience. Honestly has made my day visiting here.

Nice little place to dine in for vegan food. They have a selection of burgers, loaded fries, parmos and vegan southern fried tasting strips Staff were lovely, service was quick and the food was delecious. I will have to go back to try the parmo!

I brought my friend from out of town here [i’d never been before] so she could try the vegan Parmo - and this was a fantastic place! The food is tasty and generous portion sizes, the decor and vibe was great and service fantastic. I will be going again 😊

I come here regularly and I can honestly say it’s the best restaurant in Teesside. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious and the portion sizes are huge. I’ve dragged so many of my non vegan friends here and they always want to return.

Been to V-Edge a few times for themed quiz nights, with food and cocktails included in ticket prices (£25-ish). Always have a great night, the staff are awesome and the service is quick and friendly. The food is excellent, and as someone who isn’t vegan, I was really happy to try their deliciously creative put-together menu.

I've been to V-EDGE multiple times and every visit has been fantastic. The service and food are great and there is plenty of choice on the menu. It's evident the staff have a passion for vegan food and the quality of the food speaks for itself. Portion sizes are plentiful so you'll be leaving stuffed.

Absolutely incredible. By far the best burger I have ever had. The chips were class too as was my starter. Plus the music was brilliant also. I'm not sure I'll ever have a burger anywhere else now cos I don't know how anything will ever compare to this. If you're a meat eater, like me, you'll agree this food is superb. Amazing food and great service!! Shared frickles and mac and cheese to start (shared them!), my first parmo having been veggie for 30 years and the oreo bombs (the best creation ever!). All were delicious - great portions and incredible value. Despite living in Cambridge, we will be back!!

Found this Vegan restaurant by chance. Amazing. Best 3 course vegan meal I've had. My wife and I shared mac and cheese and frickles to start, then Parmos, then amazing oreo deep fried cake dessert! A good few years since my last 'proper' Parmo, but this certainly ticks the boxes of taste and volume! This chef can do wonders with the vegan cheeses available to create a blend that tasted amazing, doesn't go dry and crispy and stays floppy like you'd hope. Vegan or not, this place is worth a try. Great portions and flavours, and choice.

Amazing service and food every time without fail!

Pancake Stack (blueberry and biscoff) Best pancake of any kind I've ever had, and the dollop of ice cream was a welcome addition. Smoked Hash Akin to the sort of stuff I'd love in a wrap, solid level of spice, savoury and creaminess. Great stuff!
