Had the most amazing Carbonara, very genuine and very delicious. Will be visiting again for more.

It was my first time to come here, I had a coffee espresso, it tasted great, I have not had it in North East yet

This is such a hidden gem of a restaurant. We had a delicious lunch here, and service was great! I had a caprese salad with perfectly al dente pasta and affogato to finish, will be back!

Went for a meal for my daughter’s 21st. It was last minute, as we had been let down by a different restaurant. The food was amazing. They were very accommodating and the service was great. We’ll definitely be going back more often. A gem of a place.

The shrimp seem simply boiled, but the sauce is delicious. I would suggest serving them with bread so you can dip them into the sauce. Olives are delicious. The pizza portions are large, the pizza itself is not bad, but the Calzone had raw dough. I would refresh the interior by adding a touch of Italy.

Having lived in Italy for 4 years this little gem is an authentic Italian experience. We've eaten here 6 times in the past year enjoying each time and introducing friends to this little slice of La Dolce Vita. North shields is lucky to have such a wonderful, warm place to eat out. it can get a little loud for my personal preference but it's still a great atmosphere

You could easily walk past this place and hardly notice, but it's definitely worth a visit. The menu is great, loads of choice and they do gluten-free too. The food is AMAZING, best pasta dish I've had in a long time. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I'm already planning my next visit.

An absolute delight!! This Italian Cafe will not disappoint. With service as impeccable as the food. I am visiting from Australia and would say this is the best food I've had while being here on holiday.

The food is amazing and authentic Italian. Delicious prawns starter, carbonara and nduja pizza. Bring your own drink also!

We went here for breakfast. I asked for bacon sandwich, well done. It was lovely. The bread was amazing. Staff were brilliant, very attentive but not too much. We were the only ones in, so atmosphere was disappointing, but not their fault. Would definitely go again x

Cafe by day, really decent and GVFM restaurant by night. Hand made pasta using local ingredients where possible. I had a brilliant nudja and kipper (yes, kipper) pasta that worked really well. It's also BYOB with a reasonable corkage price. The staff are also really helpful. Get some!

Top quality Sardinian cooking in a small restaurant tucked away in North Shields town centre. Highlight of this trip was an octopus and potato salad that I can't stop thinking about! Pizzas and pastas are absolutely lush. The restaurant is BYOB with no corkage which is also a plus. Also very child friendly. A lovely mix of people whenever we have visited, the staff are excellent and very welcoming.

Wonderful find. Delicious pizza and lovely service. Be even better once they’re licenced, saving on the overpriced Luke warm beer from the dated off licence over the road. Highly recommended, looking forward to going again.

Fantastic little Italians food Fantastic

A first time visit to this small, unpretentious Italian restaurant in the heart of North Shields. The service was excellent and matched by the very good and authentic Italian food. Combined with the BYO bottle policy, what a find! We'll be back as soon as we can.

The food is exceptional and the service excellent. It's a basic cafe layout, nothing fancy, but pleasant to be in. It isn't licensed, so take your own drink. This place is a little pearl in the middle of a tired looking North Shields. Plenty of parking outside, too.

Had the most amazing tea time meal here, service was amazing and the food was sooo delicious and hot! I honestly couldn’t recommend enough, a real hidden gem, if you haven’t tried then this is a must, B x

Super friendly and attentive service. And the food, a real authentic Italian delight. Very tastefull. Don't forget to bring your own wine or beer... Went there a few times during our holiday in North Shields. The best Italian we have met in recent years, both here in England and at home in Germany, it couldn't be better! Incredible authentic tasty Italian food. Excellent personal service. Best Italian at the coast by miles. Update: Just had the prawns, mussels, mushrooms, lasagna and pizza. And they made amazing gluten free pasta for my daughter. Outstanding

Really friendly and welcoming staff. I was surprised it was full on a Wednesday evening. It obviously had it's regulars. I'd personally prefer more choice in pizza, particularly meaty ones. But, the food was lovely. They don't have a liqueur licence so everyone brings their own beer and wine. There's an off licence along the road which had a decent assortment should you need anything.

Absolutely delicious authentic Italian food! Very fresh Frito misto and the best Carbonara I’ve had outside of Italy. My daughter loved her pizza, she said the salami was really tasty. Looking forward to our return visit!

Don't be put off by the location, this is a liitle gem! Small but perfectly formed, an excellent and different menu. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely return soon. Wish they did steak and fish though. And byo alcohol at the moment which saves a lot. X

Authentic Italian dishes which were excellent and full of flavour! No alcohol served and a tight squeeze inside with mainly just small tables for 2 available which are all close to each other are the only slight issues. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return !!

Fabulous pizza, great choice of authentic Italian pizza

Food is amazing, I only had pizza, but it was the lightest dough base I've ever had and incredibly tasty. The pasta on the table next to us was freshly made and also very good (I was reliably informed 😊). Friendly place and busy! Oh, and it's BYO Bring Your Own (wine/lager/whatever's your tipple), so it's incredibly good value! We didn't realise, so I had to make a quick dash across the road to the Offy! I'm glad that was there 🤣🙏 Would go again.

Had lunch here - the pizza was delicious and we did not have much of a wait 😋 the lady serving was really attentive. Coffee was lovely- not too strong. And i took some cannoli away with me- which was also delicious!! Would recommend trying here

I have just been here for lunch with my wife and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcomed and at ease. The customer service was impeccable. We ordered two pizzas and they were fantastic. Both my wife and I lived in Italy years ago, so we could tell the pizzas were authentic and freshly prepared. The food and atmosphere reminded some us of Italy. I would highly recommend this place. We'll be back.

My wife and I came here for lunch today not knowing what to expect. Wow, Francesco produces delicious freshly cooked authentic Italian dishes. The atmosphere is informal, relaxed and very welcoming. We'll be back!

Lovely place, very casual and cosy atmosphere and the owner / chef is very personable, welcoming and truly values his diners! The food was enjoyed by all of us and is authentic Italian.

5 Stars for sure... Food was simply fabulous.. All home cooked, authentic Italian food! Travelling to Italy every two months, it is safe to say this is the best Italian food I have tasted in England. We only ate a mixed starter and I drank a cappuccino, but the products are fresh and the atmosphere was very Italian, if you want an Italian experience, you must go, thanks for the hospitality and a chat in Italian, see you next time!

Fab Italian food, really cheap and great value. Not in the best of locations but I cnce you're in, it's lovely. Pleasant staff. Quick service. Highly recommended. Don't forget there's no alcohol so if you want a beer or wine bring you're own. There's a little off-licence over the road which is very handy.

This is a little hidden gem in North Shields. Food was out of this world. Even the Italians in our group said how authentic the food was.and the prices were really reasonable. Staff were amazing. Will definitely be back here wish I could give more stars as it definitely ticks all the boxes 10 out of 10 from me.

Veramente buonissimo! 3x adults and 3x teenagers had 3 courses each for under £25 a head. I used to live in Italy and I am particular about genuine, authentic Italian cuisine; this ticked all my boxes. I loved the fact it was BYO and Mary is the lovliest of hosts. Book a table or go early, the place was full by 6pm on a Wednesday evening. We will definitely be going back.
