Bit quiet in bar. Barmaid friendly and chatty. Stack over the road probably taking their business. If u are off to stack and queue is huge try here.

A tad noisy but everything else was grand.

A lovely place to stop off for a quick pint. Distillery on show. Plenty options for beer and lager available, including plenty of local beers. Fast and friendly service

The staff, atmosphere, coffee, and food were all outstanding and sublime. Honestly, the Kipper and Egg 'Sarni' - was hands down one of the best lunches I've ever had. Highly recommended.

I joined one of NE1's 24 Doors tours here and was definitely not disappointed. Host Phil introduced the gins on offer and provided insights into the history of gin, and also the art work of William Hogarth. The tour also included a thorough description of the on-site distillation process. A G&T, art, history, gin making, and more, all in an outstanding setting, why not visit and see for yourself?

Epic food everyone was excellent

A fab venue with friendly efficient staff. Had a couple of drinks in the pub, prices good and service excellent, then a bite to eat in Thali tray. Thali tray food was amazing, lots of little sample portions which were all delicious. When I say little mind, I have a good appetite but had to surrender the last few mouthfuls. Staff again were efficient, friendly a helpful in dish selections High recommend a visit.

Fired down a somewhat turbo style solo Guinness on a Thursday evening here. It was fairly quiet so the choice of seating or standing area was optimal. No issues with anything really. Standard enough city central price, which isn't so cheap but not so extreme plus it's a nice looking bar. I may not return so quickly because it's way off my beaten drinking track, but I would give it the thumbs up to anyone who might ask for my opinion of the joint.

Booked through a third party for a stag weekend. Attentive staff who looked after our party of 19 brilliantly. Self-serve beer tap kept us going and food in the sharing platter was excellent 👍👍👍

The best Sunday lunches in town. Terrific quality and sufficient enough quantity! Cooked to perfection. I had the pork and the crackling on it was super crispy, big cut of pork and stuffing. I opted for an extra Yorkshire pudding too. Well recommended. Best book a table for Sunday lunch. Great bar, lovely place. *Update: added Chicken Sunday lunch and fish goujon starters. Both exemplary! This is the best Sunday lunches in the city centre!

Good food a nice atmosphere we booked a table yesterday had a nice meal however the table that we were set for was right next to the door so when people were coming in and out it became very drafty and cold. The staff eventually moved us to another table. Good beer they also have their own gin distillery so it makes a nice change from the norm

We had our evening reception here in the upstairs room and it was brilliant, very well organised and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food is superb here too.

Great pub, cracking staff. Also an amazing Sunday roast available till late. One of my favourites in the north east. A must visit

Really nice pub, great location in Newcastle, not too busy. We had lunch and cocktails which were very nice. However, staff were a little slow to serve us, but were really friendly when they eventually did.

Staff to busy talking to each other at the bar everytime I went to the bar. Gluten free fish and chips the worst I've ever had as they tasted terrible and the chips were black. When I went to the bar to pay the bill reluctantly I have to say I was told to wait while she served someone at the other end of the bar even though she admitted she didn't know what she was doing to another member of staff. Wouldn't recommend this place 🖓

First time in Bealim House and loved it. Cosy ish, warm and plenty standing and seating. Toilets must have been ok - i had a bad toilet experience on a night out. I was there for a works night out and we had a buffet which was fine. The vegan platters looked very, very good. Would recommend as a small location for friday night drinks after work. Order platters and not buffet.

Great menu, very nice to meet the craftmanship when it xomes to the Gin. Friendly staff and good food. We just stopped by (to get out of the rain) but if we ever return to Newcastle (we're from the Netherlands ), we're sure to come back here.

I've heard it's a decent bar and I have not been disappointed. What's more of a pleasant surprise is that they do quite good food as well! I especially loved the small plates like sweet potato fries, cod bites and spring rolls. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a drink but also nice food and snacks. Great espresso Martini by the way. Ah and one last thing, I went on a Friday night and they had live music at around 8pm!

I'm not local to Newcastle, but I would happily come here again. I had a delicious halloumi and portobello mushroom burger for lunch, served with a hearty portion of perfectly cooked chips. The service was very friendly, and the welcome warm. Perhaps could have been a bit quicker, but we came in at a peak time. It's conveniently located for fans of the footy too, being behind the Gallowgate end of St James' Park. I'm not a gin drinker, but they did seem to stock a lot of specialist gins too.

Such a nice venue and lots of space to spread out in, the serve yourself keg table is a great idea for a group to catch up and chat! Could do with having a toilet on the top floor if possible, yet fantastic location too

Average. Asked for a mojito and received something that had bitter lemon cordial as the main ingredient. Glass collector took my drink before it was finished. Used to be better than it is now.
