Kiln in Newcastle upon Tyne

Solíamos amar Kiln; hace unos años tenía un encanto ecléctico y era un lugar encantador, acogedor y cómodo para compartir con amigos. Una variedad de tamaños de mesa y orientaciones y sillas cómodas proporcionaron una sensación de privacidad individual. Pero en los últimos años hemos visto una sucesión de “remodelaciones” que casi han borrado ese encanto anterior. La zona de estar ahora ha adoptado la estética y funcionalidad de una sala de visitas de la prisión - bancos duros planos implacables atornillados al piso en filas reguladas. Es manejable para un café rápido, pero una cena de 3 platos requiere que los glúteos máximos estén dotados de resistencia olímpica. El menú sigue siendo pensativo, pero toma una lupa para leer el tipo pequeño débil - y prepárate para buscar en Google algunos platos desconocidos (que para ser justos siguen siendo imaginativos, bien preparados y presentados en la cerámica hecha en las instalaciones). Ojalá hace 3 años, alguien hubiera garabateado la siguiente moto en la pared de la sala de juntas: "Si no está rota, no la arregles".

¡Qué gran lugar! Extraño, genial y divertido. El personal era muy amable y acogedor y el lugar estaba lleno muy temprano en la noche, siempre una buena señal en mi opinión. El menú era variado y un poco diferente, pero había mucho para elegir. Nos quedamos muy contentos cuando llegó la comida, estaba muy bien presentado y parecía muy apetitoso. El tamaño de la porción era generoso y ciertamente estábamos llenos. Grandes cócteles también y en general una experiencia muy positiva. Me gustaría ir de nuevo y recomendar.

Llamé con mi esposa, recibido cálidamente por el gerente, se sentó y echar un vistazo a través del menú del brunch, ya que acababa de llegar a las 12 del mediodía, un ambiente encantador, relajado, barra libre, cerámica en el espectáculo, pedí una cerveza y un tostado de 3 quesos, tostadas estaba lleno de sabor y agradable, difícil de comer mente y necesitará un cuchillo y tenedor, se sentó relajado con una maravillosa pinta de rayos gamma, pequeña gafa encantadora. Overpriced, no sides with food. £10 for a lamb skewer with no bread/chips. £4 for a thimble of snack nuts. I will not he returning. The served food was okay, just not worth it.

The best food in town! Staff were super welcoming and really knew their stuff. The menu changes between lunch and dinner—I've only tried the dinner so far, but I’m definitely coming back for lunch! Great location, and honestly, all the pitas are to die for. The hummus and muhammara were absolutely spectacular. Lamb chops and kebab—so, so good. Amazing quality and surprisingly good value. The vibe is relaxed and easygoing. No stress, just great food and great people. A must-visit spot!

Fantastic meal at Kiln. As quite the foodie I struggle to find great places, with good food and service in Newcastle. My first time down the Ouseburn and Kiln was 10/10. The place is cosy, buzzing atmosphere also loved the cosy fire outside. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu isn’t huge but plenty to choose from, food was super tasty. We had the hummus, green labneh, chicken skewers, cucumber salad with tomato, pita and a sea bass. Very good, full of flavour. Would recommended to anyone only thing missing is a decent pudding!

Mi hija me entretuvo para cenar en Kiln una noche de semana, ya que es uno de sus lugares favoritos y puedo ver por qué. El medio ambiente es urbano shabby chic y el aspecto de la cerámica - de ahí el nombre - está orgullosamente a la vista de los clientes. Largo y bastante estrecho, los asientos están a lo largo de una pared y un poco al otro lado, con una barra y luego ejemplos de la cerámica en un tocador - uno puede venir y hacer una olla aquí. Esto es más bien como una forma de comer estilo tapas, donde uno pide una serie de platos para poner en el medio de la mesa y sumergirse. Si, al igual que Joey en 'Friends', no te gusta compartir comida, entonces esto te parecerá un desafío o caro, guardándote las cosas para ti. Los platos eran interesantes y muy sabrosos. Estoy de acuerdo con otras críticas en que algunos, no todos, los platos eran un poco escasos para dos, especialmente teniendo en cuenta el precio - el kofta es solo eso - uno, aunque grande - kofta. Pero toda la experiencia fue definitivamente placentera en términos de sabor y ambiente, un poco diferente y quizás porque era mitad de semana, ciertamente no nos sentimos apresurados en absoluto.

This is a return visit back to the Kiln and the first time this year, previously it’s always been during the day, this is the first time in the evening and the atmosphere was just as chilled, cosy and lovely, we ended up ordering 2/3 of the menu to try as much as we could and it was amazing, the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired menu was delicious!

Staff at bar seemed to be to highly medicated to be at work eyes very wide and take a couple of seconds In order to register what was being said. The food show the place douse not know what it wants to be and seam to change far to offen The 5 start review look fake as there very photo genic and and heavenly detailed compared to review on other restaurants. Staff where rude food was cold and seem more like a place for the staff and owner to use as a play ground not very professional.

Nos gusta mucho el horno, está ubicado en el Ouseburn, muy cerca del muelle. Es un gran lugar para comer, la comida es buena y el servicio es bueno también. Nos han servido por Kieron dos veces ahora y nos recordó de 1 visita a la calle que es muy agradable 🙂

Really tasty winter brunch in warm cosy restaurant. The service here is always exceptional and the quality of food is very high. The butterbean with poached eggs was one of the best flavour combinations we have had. Have also tried the steak and eggs recently and was really impressed with the flavours and ingredients. This is one of our favourite places to eat. Highly recommended.

Great little restaurant, very nice staff and welcoming atmosphere. The food is exceptional, with a small menu but this does mean everything can be made very well, highly recommend the mezi options so you get to try almost everything they have on the menu. Well worth a visit, especially if you enjoy middle eastern food.

Kiln is hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! While it’s a bit outside Newcastle’s city center, it’s absolutely worth the stroll. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and even though it was packed midweek, we managed to snag a seat at the bar without a reservation. Sitting at the bar turned out to be perfect—it made it easy to keep the incredible food coming, and we certainly indulged! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, absolutely mouthwatering. I especially loved all the vegetarian options—there was such a great variety, and each one was as delicious as the next. We kept ordering more because everything was so good, and I left feeling completely stuffed in the best way. The staff was wonderfully friendly and attentive without being pushy. At one point, I casually mentioned that I didn’t think there was a dessert menu, but to my delight, there was—and what a dessert it was! The chocolate dessert I had was divine: rich, heavy, and everything a chocolate treat should be. I can’t wait to return someday!

Avoid booking in advance!!! Made a booking for the day before New Year’s Eve for me my best mate and two friends who haven’t seen a long time since I left Newcastle eight years ago. The booking online took £60 out of my bank account. A few days prior to the actual reservation the restaurant rang to say they had to cancel my reservation because of short Staff I queried the £60 charge and was informed it shouldn’t have been t taken out. I provided ample evidence of the transaction and they took over two weeks to get back to me and informed me that no such payment was even taken. My bank statement says at £60 kiln. Not Marks & Spencer’s, not Uniqlo, not Wetherspoons it says kiln . Apparently, this is not clear enough. They’ve refused the refund despite me not even stepping foot in the restaurant because of their cancellation. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. Had this occurred in London it would’ve been resolved a lot sooner. The competition isn’t Clearly an issue in Newcastle which therefore compromises their customer services.

Booked a table for Noon. Arrived at noon to be told we would have 5 minute wait, no worries. At 12.20 we were seated and asked if we would like drinks which we ordered. Menu arrived and we all (5) ordered, two going for the deliciously sounding pida with egg to dip your crust in and 2 x steak and eggs along with a sandwich. Pida and sandwich delivered after 15 minutes, sandwich being cool. Eggs were rock hard on both pida.The 3 ate as opposed to waiting for the other 2 dishes to arrive which they did after the 3 had finished.... Those that had ate ordered 3 more drinks, 2 arrived and the last arrived just as we we about to leave, 2 Servers not enough and what could have been a great meal for 5 for £135 was a mess. Would not go back

Reservamos una mesa para el mediodía. Llegué al mediodía para que nos dijeran que tendríamos 5 minutos de espera, no te preocupes. A las 12. 20 Estábamos sentados y nos preguntaron si queríamos las bebidas que pedimos. Llegó el menú y todos ( 5 ) pedimos, dos van por la deliciosa pida con huevo para sumergir su corteza y 2 x filete y huevos junto con un sándwich. Pida y sándwich entregados después de 15 minutos, siendo el sándwich fresco. Los huevos eran duros para ambos pida. Los 3 comieron en lugar de esperar a que llegaran los otros 2 platos lo que hicieron después de que los 3 hubieran terminado. . . Los que habían comido pidieron 3 bebidas más, 2 llegaron y el último llegó justo cuando estábamos a punto de salir, 2 servidores no es suficiente y lo que podría haber sido una gran comida para 5 por £ 135 era un desastre. No volvería atrás

Lo hace todo bien. Preciosa comida y servicio en un entorno muy atractivo. Un menú interesante y un fabuloso fuego de leña real. Sin embargo, limpia debajo de los asientos en los bordes. Nos vemos pronto.

Went here for a work lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food! I had the shakshuka, and my colleagues had arayes, and everything was delicious. The service was a little bit slow and it was about 10-15 minutes before even our drinks order was taken which was a little disappointing, but the food made up for it. Looking forward to visiting again for the evening menu.

Came here tonight with some friends for a few drinks and desserts. Service was outstanding, and they even made us something bespoke which was beyond expectations. Definitely recommend this to anyone in the area, been here a few times and never had a bad experience

Delicious sharing plates! Sea bass, chicken (perfectly tender), leeks, and muhammara dip particular highlights. Also loved the super rich ganache for dessert. Everything beautifully flavoured and cooked, and great service. We will definitely be back.

Food deeply ok, asked for off menu due to intolerance. Promised ingredient swaps, none at all on the plate, just a bare bit of toast and a rough bit of meat bleeding on the bread. Disappointed.

Kiln has a tapas/ mezze / small plates set up so nice if you like sharing with others. The staff are so friendly and helpful and give honest and reasonable advice on how much food is enough food. The staff are also really on it with dietary requirements. There are plenty of vegan options on the menu (or items that can be modified to be vegan). We recently came back with a friend who has allergies and the staff took their time to understand the situation, give advice, and offer solutions. The drink selection is really nice - especially local beers and nice wines - which pair effortlessly with the food. The venue is gorgeous, with a beautiful outdoor area, quirky interior dining area, and the pottery room. The vibe is great and the music cool. The price very reasonable for high-quality wholesome food. (Highly recommend the ajo blanco, muhammara and hummus!!!)

Beautiful place in the heart of ouseburn. Mediterranean style food prepared with UK-based ingredients. Really cool vibe inside with great drinks. If I had one complaint, it would be that the radiators were on - however it was start of December

Leaving a review for the pottery shop side of things, not the food; I've now had two mugs from the pottery shop at Kiln (one was a replacement for the first), both suffered cracking of the glaze on the inside within just a couple of uses (note: I only hand washed both mugs). Cracks in glaze are not food safe as they can harbour bacteria but also the mug just looks a bit crap now, which is annoying after paying quite a lot of money! The fact it has happened twice suggests an issue with the manufacturing, a real shame because they look great otherwise.

Visité a Kiln anoche por primera vez con mi hija y su novio. El ambiente es relajante, con un zumbido y gran ambiente. El menú ofrece una buena mezcla de platos, de los cuales tuvimos una selección de hummus, pitas absolutamente increíbles, lubina que era tan sabroso, koftas, patatas, burrata, ensalada picada por nombrar algunos. Delicioso, todos y cada uno. Terminamos con la ganache de chocolate y el possett de limón, que eran deliciosos. Recomiendo encarecidamente el horno, la relación calidad-precio de la comida y el entorno era genial. Definitivamente volveré.

Cosy spot just a few minutes walk from the Quayside. Delicious Middle Eastern food and pastries/cakes with friendly service. Shakashuka options really delicious especially for weekend brunch.

The Kiln is a cozy spot with a charming vibe, perfect for a relaxed coffee break. Their funky coffee cups add a fun touch to the experience, making each visit feel unique. The outdoor seating is beautiful, offering a great atmosphere for enjoying your drink. The friendly staff make you feel welcome, enhancing the overall laid-back feel of the place. Very fresh, flavorful, authentic Middle Eastern food served in a lovely pottery-kiln atmosphere!

Style over substance The location and food doesn’t reflect the price point. The quality is decent I’m not disputing that, I’m happy to pay for quality £41 two small vegetarian pitta, two orange juices and a red pepper dip. Very small amount of goats cheese, with piece of gem lettuce filling the pitta basically The pottery for sale is nice but it’s stacked high on the shelves and the reason for that will be the price point again, too expensive.

Nipped in for a coffee whilst walking round Ouseburn. A lovely little place tucked away on the corner. Friendly staff, great decor, good food and drinks menu. They have their own pottery; making and teaching to produce bowls, cups, etc. All for sale. Will definitely come back.

Lovely coffee, great vibe to the place. We only had coffee and cake so can't rate the food, but what we had was beautiful. .been here a couple of times now and will travel half an hour just for the coffee and the atmosphere. Pottery is beautiful

What a wonderful place to enjoy and share some very tasty food! We were very grateful for Kiln fitting us in late notice. This is the place to be for anyone who loves craft and artisan cooking. Kiln have brought that together hand in hand. Some may be a little confused with the similar to tapas style of dining, for example the chicken thigh skewer doesn't come with chips and salad, but once you put this together with the reasonably priced smaller dishes, you can build a delicious meal for what you'd pay in most places. But the quality and experience are worth so much more. My friends wouldn't stop talking about this afterwards, which is when you know it's special. Maybe one day I'll return and have some fun working that clay! This would make a wonderful gift experience for a loved one, or a celebration for a special occasion. The staff were also lovely. Thanks for having us guys. Extra points if they made all of the dinnerware!

the food is great 207 pound bill that’s fine until we asked for a cab home it was only 19.00 hours today 3/8/24 NO you order your own …. We did and had to wait but after spending 207 pounds only 3 of us we had to wait outside Dinning is a all round experience It’s not in kiln It was early for us i wouldn’t want my younger daughter standing outside at night

The Spot was great for brunch dishes, I had the Turkish breakfast my partner had merguez sausages and eggs. Service great and mint tea wonderful

Kiln - one of my favourites in Newcastle. It’s been quite some time since we went but every time we go, we always receive high quality food! For me, the thing that makes Kiln so great is the fresh ingredients and herbs 🌿, it really comes across in their food as every dish is so fragrant. It’s a mezze platter type restaurant with Lebanese/Middle Eastern inspiration so we got a range of most dishes on the menu. The dips and flatbreads to start were so creamy and full of flavour - a really great way to start the meal. The mains had such a variety of spices which complemented their individual meats/fish/veg. Everything was cooked so well and gave me a similar feeling to having lovely home-cooking/dinner party vibes which is definitely a strong compliment! Overall, I’d definitely recommend going to Kiln if you haven’t already and it works best for a larger crowd so you can get a range of dishes to share!

Food was nice although my eggs in shakshuka were a little underdone. Management sorted this for me fine. Lovely little place - a bit cramped in some places but love that all the crockery was hand made! One of the waitresses was a little too touchy feely with my boyfriend hence the 3* for service.

Absolutely lovely food and experience at kiln today. Staff were amazing and the food was so nice and, as a veggie, very healthy but still tasty. My husband loved the cake and was even given an extra bit from the friendly staff who recognised a man who likes a bit of sweet treats. We had some pale pink French wine which went down a treat for me and my daughter . X

Their food is absolutely amazing. We had a variety of drinks and meals here. We sat outside which was lovely. We had to go inside to order but it's a short "trip" to get to the till. We had a few dietary restrictions (one of us is glutenfree and dairy free, the 2nd one is dairy free and allergic to soy) so I asked if some items could be left out of a dish. Not only was that possible, the front of house manager even offered substitutions so I ended up with extra thick slices of delicious banana bread to make up for the yoghurt I can't have, and one of my partners received potatoes instead of bread for his meal. There was a slight mix-up where another group had claimed our 3rd partner's food [that was *not* the staff's fault! The waiter asked them if they're me and they said yes...]. We hadn't even noticed except that the wait between the 2 courses was starting to get a bit long. The manager came to us personally to explain the mix-up and apologise for the inconvenience. He had brought the 2nd dish out for us, but thought we would prefer to all eat together. In order for the food not to go to waste, he let us have an extra dish on the house, and the people who (accidentally...) stole our food *also* got to keep that on the house. This should give you an idea just how friendly and welcoming this place is. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly friendly and polite and the food, as I mentioned, is absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the banana bread. It's the owner's mother's recipe - and you can taste that. If you're interested in pottery, you can also buy ceramics from them. All the dishes are served in the Kiln's own ceramics, and they're available for purchase. Definitely check that out. We didn't buy any because we're not in the market for new dishes, but if you are, consider them!

The Kiln is one of my favourite places for a friendly chat with friends, neighbours or work colleagues. Staff are always friendly, the food is brilliant, and the ambience is just right for an enjoyable conversation. Sometimes, the waether is even good enough to site outside - but not often, or nopt for long :( Love the view into the working pottery.

The place had a lovely and cozy vibe and the food was nice. I have to say that the green labneh was absolutely the best. The banana bread was warm and crispy in the edges which gave it a nice texture. I have to come back to taste the other dishes. The waiter was very friendly!

Arrived at 12:15pm sat down and ordered our meal. 45 minutes later still waiting. The pizza was put in to cook at 1pm. Had to wait another 10 minutes for order to arrive. 50 minutes later we sat down and eventually had our meal. Very poor service.

Food is good. Atmosphere is cosy. Staff friendly. Food service very slow and plate by plate so whole party might not eat together. Don’t bring kids.

Hickey beer delish, food was great, service pretty miserable/bit useless (no check back, forgot a dish, zero chat/smiles) but luckily food good enough to make up for it. Best dishes were the halloumi pita, muhamarrah, labneh, beetroot (the sauce it was in was divine). Falafel nice but came so long after everything else (forgotten) was a bit bland on its own. Really nice vibe, just a shame about service!

Delicious food, very small portions, extremely rude member of staff. They forget that dining should be a special experience, and utterly spoilt our evening.

I was not expecting the food to be that good! Everything tasted extremely fresh and well prepared. As well as a free pottery class. Brilliant. Staff was very lovely as well. Already looking forward to coming back.

Don't understand some of the negative recent reviews. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff helpful, friendly and attentive without being over-bearing. The food was excellent, our server talked us through the menu, and everything was delicious, the cod and kofta being the highlights. Finished with cocktails and lovely desserts. Not the cheapest, not the largest portions, but good food and good value. If you want your plate plied high with rubbish, go to 'Spoons.

We booked a large group for lunch (11 people) and they were excellent. We all felt very well taken care of; the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible. We even took home some amazing pottery from their kiln! Such a great place to go, I can’t recommend them enough !!

We came here twice during our weekend trip to Newcastle, so we’re pretty big fans. The flavours of the food and ambiance of the bar/restaurant are 5 ⭐️. However, we found the service to be a bit hasty in clearing our plates while we were still picking at dips. Secondly, the Turkish Breakfast was lovely,” - but it really needed a hummus or dip of some sort on the plate. Overall a great spot - the homemade sourdough pittas are incredible.

came for my boyfriends birthday with his family. It was mentioned in the booking, after they asked "whats the occasion?", but they made no reference to this at all which i found a bit weird. also, the blonde manager woman was kinda terrible and seemed annoyed to be serving us? huge props to the guy with red in his hair, he took over serving and was pretty sick and my bfs mum loved him. portion wise/money wise, the portions are small and they say to get 2-3 per person. please bare in mind the hummus comes without pita so you have to pay extra for pita (slightly confusing..... what the hell). really yummy food to be fair just expensive and dont think I would come if it wasnt an occasion. would come back if i was rich or there was an occasion. :) HUGELY RECOMMEND THE CHOCOLATE GANACHE THOUGH. I WOULD COME BACK SOLELY FOR THIS!

Fantastic sharing plates with excellent service. The sourdough pittas were delicious, as was everything we were dipping them into. The lamb koftes stood out.

Ate today after making a booking online. We thought we’d give Kiln another go after last few visits which were disappointing due to service and lack of staff interaction. We have supported Kiln since it’s very first week of opening, through Covid, through many facelifts & changes however sad to say it’s poor. Seated today pushed right to the back on a tiny table & chair right in the way of main thoroughfare to toilets. The issue we’ve had with the last few occasions is the ineptness of the staff who when you enter leave you standing awkwardly without even an acknowledgment & choose to look away as if it’s someone else’s job to acknowledge. Ordered cake, coffee & lamb kofta. Went to look at cakes and abruptly asked what else I was having, really poor communication with other staff and with customers. Food placed down, no interaction, no returning to checking all ok, just really basic things in hospitality. Kofta overpowered with garlic and very basic for cost, sliced onion , cucumber and mayo in pitta. I ordered a coffee however my partner who wanted a beer was never asked what he’d like & staff member walked off before he had time to say. We watched on awkwardly as a large table had been over charged and the waitress stood there blankly looking at them instead of trying to resolve the situation for around 10 minutes. Paid the bill no interaction again to enquire if all had been ok and no ‘goodbyes’. Just poor across the board.

Hidden gem in ouseburn, great beers and even better food but the service has been shocking recently. One member of staff in particular was rude, unhelpful and soured what was otherwise a great experience.

Best restaurant in newcastle. Period. Serving Middle Eastern/Mediterranean style tapas which were SO flavourful and fresh made with high quality ingredients, the food was well presented, the atmosphere was super cozy and comfortable, we got all but 2 dishes on the menu as we wanted a range of dishes to try; most dishes were 10/10 however falafels were dry and over cooked, they served a nice range of cocktails - although I didn’t like mine as it tasted too much like liquorice (but we went for my birthday celebration and they took it off the bill as a present🫶🏻❤️). The staff were so so kind and super friendly, we were just chatting away and we they even gave us really good recommendations for dishes - super polite and knowledgeable about their restaurant. There is no competition as to what the best restaurant in newcastle is, it IS this one! 💖 (and I’m a simple girl so obviously my fave thing was the houmous and freshly made pita😘🤌🏼) NEED to go back for brunch!

Wow! This place was amazing. Food was phenomenal, service was excellent and the atmosphere was fab. A must go to if you’re in Newcastle.

Calm, quiet place, good for morning coffee or food.. You can buy a unique ceramic stuff or enjoy pottery class.

I visited Kiln this Sunday with my wife and two young kids. We got booked no problem and the staff seemed attentive and pleasant. The food took quite a while but the staff were happy to oblige some pitta whilst we waited, as the kids were getting restless. The food was delicious and all was good. We asked for the bill as we were ready to leave. This is where the 3 star rating comes in.. As the young member of staff brought over the bill, she mentioned “the next reservation is waiting to be seated in five minutes...’ I mean I’m literally paying the bill! What does she want me to do, go greet them and take their order!? We ate our meal in about 10 minutes and waited for about 45… So rude! And it’s a shame because it’s a lovely place and the food is decent!

Visited Kiln with friends for a birthday Table booked for 7pm Arrived promptly but had to wait 5-10 minutes for table which we thought was Ok We waited another 10 mins to have our order taken and even longer to order a bottle of wine When the food came one of the orders of Cod was exceedingly very small compared to the same dish another was having We complained and we would have to wait 15 mins for a new dish or accept it and they would deduct it from the bill We chose the latter However when attempting to order dessert we were informed the table was for 11/2 hours only! Never before mentioned when booking! We said that we were ,ate to sit down but the very nice waitress said it made no difference and we had to be off the table for 8.30 This brought our evening to an abrupt end and we felt very shortchanged indeed The service was not good but the waitress was very nice and apologetic and clearly she doesn’t make the rules I would not visit again though nor particularly recommend it

Visited kiln for a birthday celebration Food was good but portion size of cod extremely small ..size of a match box! We booked online but we're not informed that we only had table for only 1hr 30mins. We ordered and ate our food as was brought by staff but when it came to ordering desserts were told that we had only 15mins left at the table!!! This is not enough time to eat a 3 course meal and have a coffee. Our meal was cut short abruptly and we felt rushed to vacate table and leave. Will not be going back which is such a shame because enjoyed the food

Our waitress was very rude and made us fell uncomfortable and unwanted there. We asked for the bill, and waited ages to pay. Won’t be going back

Very tasty food was served, unfortunately our service was poor. The waitress was disinterested, and we did not receive all items that we ordered. We felt overlooked by the staff. Unfortunate, since we had such high expectations. Disappointed.

We were quite disappointed sadly. The flatbread sandwich came cold and a bit tasteless. We waited 34 minutes for the mezes. The atmosphere is also very packed with very little staff

Discovered this place a week ago and we have already been back for more! The meze is wonderful and the staff take real care with recommendations and describing the food when asked. Best hummus I have had in the UK as well! We signed up for the free pottery class and it was a great experience.

Yet again no seabass or cod !! Makes the menu less inviting !! Why bother having a menu unless you are going to stock it ! Staff not bothered . We were regulars , no more !!!

We went around 7 on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was pleasantly busy. The service was great with food coming out straight away and just rolling as and when. All of the plates were delicious but I would definitely recommend the hummus starter! I’ve lived in Newcastle for 3 years and only just come across this gem but will definitely be recommending to friends! Bonus was the adorable dog at the table next to us
