First time at this establishment, invited along by a couple we know very well for a lunchtime meal. There are two menus a specials menu for over 60's and a normal menu which has a large selection of starters, mains and sweets. We arrived first and greeted by a member of staff in the restaurant who showed us to our table and we ordered drinks as our friends arrived. My Wife and I decided to try the steak pie, veg plus chips or mash potatoes, which turned out to be very good, then we both had rhubarb crumble and custard which was also good, will definitely call in again in the future.👍

Elderly parents had dinner Sunday food was awful and 1 lady server was snappy my 80year old mother asked for a glass of water to be given warm water so asked for ice to be told that they do not give ice in water never heard anything so ridiculous parents say other servers were fine but this 1 was awful shame as they don't get out much and will not return due to this 1 waitress.

Have to say 1st time on being here and what a delight. Meals were superb and the puddings also. Would like to add young lady that served us was an absolute diamond she never stops and not once did she moan nothing was a bother to her she was fantastic...would definitely go again as would the rest of my party...thank you

Fabulous service, clean, fast and friendly. The food is incredibly well priced and beautifully fresh. The owners are wonderul and always welcoming and accommodating. We just popped in but I would suggest booking for food as it gets incredibly busy. Says a lot I suppose. A great local recommendation. We have had many a good meals and evening here. Pop in and have a look.

Lunch with friends. Very good value for money. Have visited many times always have a good meal with good experienced staff.

Have been previously and food fine. Bitterly disappointed with Sunday lunch. Veg was fresh but not enough of it. There were 3 pieces of meet cut so thin even put together wouldn’t have made one slice each piece about 2 x 2 didn’t even need to cut it up to eat it. That was the regular. Shame really as it has put us off returning on a Sunday

We had the misfortune of eating Sunday dinner here a few months ago. You'd be better off going to your local school or nursing home. The veg was mush and I can only assume they boil frozen chicken to get such a bland and rubbery texture. I posted a similar review before which mysteriously vanished!

The food is good, the waitress hilarious, service with a smile and reasonably priced.

We went here pre pandemic and had lovely meals.This time the Sunday dinner was not up to scratch. The mash potato and roast potatoes had a peculiar taste, vegetables were a bit cold and the Yorkshire pudding was over cooked. My Granddaughter wanted the chocolate brownie for dessert but this too had an unusual taste . Was really disappointed.

Very nice pub meals and friendly staff, the only rub was on Sunday we were given a table beside a family with noisy children, which I do not like.

Lovely first visit. Staff first class, took great care of customers. food delicious a great choice menu. Great ambeionce there was a little funeral being held but staff still gave attention to other customers. Will be going back. Oh also great value for food. Very reasonable.

We love visiting the Percy. Friendly staff. Great and quick service. Food is always amazing. Always difficult to choose when you know its all going to taste good. I opted for the Carbonara last time. Highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great food at reasonable prices

I took my wife out for her birthday treat we both had tempura king prawns starters cooked in batter just lush. Then we had the 10oz sirloin steak each, mine was just the way i like it rare ( delicious ) my wifes was medium well ( a little bit tough sorry love ) they came with onion rings chips toms mushrooms and veg ( carrots . broccoli. Swede and cabbage .) I could not eat all the veg sorry Very good meal and service and reasonably priced aswell. Well done Percy arms Would recommend you

Really really nice Sunday dinner and reasonable prices (see photo). We had 2 regular beef and 1 regular pork - definitely no complaints. Nice fresh veg too. Forgot to take some photographs of the lunch but trust me, lovely 😍 👌 PREBOOK a table

Five of us and a baby turned up without a reservation, we were met by the most friendliest waiter who made us very welcome .Our meals were the nicest we have had in a long time.Thank you to the Chef.We will definitely return and will highly recommend.Lovely atmosphere and very clean.

One of my favourite places to eat

I had heard good things about this pub..first time visiting for me, upon turning into rhe carpark we knew it was busy.we had booked a table ahead so were okay..Tables were clean and we ordered drinks which came quickly..we were left to take our time whilst choosing what to order..It was at times difficult to hear what my partner was saying due to the amount of chatter in the pub . When the food arrived to 2 oaps with us got much smaller potions than my picture. The food was basic at best, rock hard dumplings & my partners belly pork was like leather and 70% fatty gristle. So service i give it a 9/10, seating 5/10 & food 5/10..definitely worth a visit tho to make your own mind up 👍🍻

Nice comfortable surroundings Had a senior citizens lunchtime menu, I had steak and ale pie with plenty of assorted veg and then sticky toffee pudding for £8/95p excellent value for money ,A nice meal and we did not have to wait long, and it was not too crowded,

I first visited the percy Arms 2 weeks ago after being recommended of a couple of neighbours and I found the staff were friendly the service was great and the food was superb it was that good we booked another visit for 8 people on Saturday the 28th May when we got there a nother family member turned up and it was no problem what so ever to the manager to sort another seat out we had 9 different meals and puddings food was piping hot and fresh and tasty and realy good helpings the staff are very friendly and helpful nothings a bother to them I would highly recommend you try this place I think you will definitely go back for more

Went there for the first time on Sunday 22nd May 2022 for Sunday lunch. Lovely meal with a great amount of food. The main meal was great & the desserts were fab. Also had a great pint at a low price. Will definitely be back. Cheers Percy Arms.

Smallest portions ever 1 carrot teaspoon cabbage teaspoon turnip 1 Yorkshire 50p 4 2nd order never seen such a small portion of cheesecake 4 pud 2 pints 1 brown ale £38 86 went home hungry never going bk Shocking 😕

Attended the Percy Arms for the very first time for an Easter Monday lunch with family. The inside of this pub was lovely, we were seated by a lady who was professional in what she did. We waited quite a while for our starters, when they arrived huge portions and hot. We also waited a while for our mains, again large portions fresh and hot. The food was amazing. The only negative I would have is extra staff at lunch time is needed.

The food was really good. Best roast beef ive had in a long time. Would eat here again, however, one negative, all of the staff was very pleasent except one, who was really quite rude. I asked for a drink in a different glass to the one i was supposed to have and it was as if i was asking for the earth. Needless to say my request fell on deaf ears. I would come again if i knew she wasnt working

I have been going to the Percy for a long time and never had a bad meal here. Today went for Sunday Lunch with family and was a bit disappointed. I don't know if they have a new chef but the Roast potatoes were terrible today and the gravy was thick and lumpy. Everything else was fine and the waiting staff especially Abbie were great. It won't stop me coming again but I think I will pass on the Roasties next time.

Disgusting customer service,never been spoken to by a bar tender in the way,manor or tone before.No vertical drinking,what’s all that about,it’s no wonder the place is nose diving

Lovely meal today in The Percy Arms, Walbottle. Food delicious and very good value.

This is a lovely place to eat and the food is great and piping hot. We only usually come for Sunday lunch but popped in on a cold and windy Saturday and had mince and dumplings. Mine was with mash and my mam had chips which were home cooked and lovely. We were served by a lovely young man called Andrew who seemed to be the only person waiting tables but he was very efficient and nobody had to wait long for their drinks or orders taken. We weren’t asked to wear a mask which pleased me as I find the silly rule off putting but most people did wear one until they were seated so the staff respect your personal choice. We’ve never had a bad meal here and will be back to sample some of the other tasty items on the menu.

Really disappointed, found a really long black hair inside our Sunday lunch. Nobody came over to apologise when we sent our lunch back, and when I went to speak to somebody as we left I was practically accused of it coming from me.... I have short blonde hair and my husband has no hair!!! Needless to day we will not be back k.

Nice pub for the footy. But they need to realise that people going to pubs don't really care much about covid as they have very strict ridiculous restrictions above government advice. 2 of our party wouldn't wear a mask and if challenged we would of took our business else where.

Lovely pub! First time visiting this evening and the food and service was great. Would definitely recommend the steak and ale pie. Masks required til seated which isn't an issue at all. I will definitely be back again.

Waiter did an excellent job trying to wait on all of the tables himself. Food was delicious. Pub was very noisy due to a fire alarm going off and everyone talking loudly above the noise.

Smashing pub. The staff are an asset, lovely, efficient and nothing is a bother. The menu has plenty to choose from, I'm in often and still find myself studying the menu! Food is good, such good value, mussels are a must and the Cajun chicken burger is a great choice a good lunch or a light tea. Lounge area is super chilled and service attentive. Also has a beer garden. Well worth a visit.
