100% Recommend! If you are in Newcastle and looking for breakfast I would definitely recommend you come to Quay Ingredient! The food and drinks are as amazing as the pub in the name! I had the vegan sausage and hash browns roll and my partner had poached eggs, both were honestly the best thing we have eaten whilst staying in Newcastle! Really good vegan/vegitarian options and the staff were so amazingly friendly and helpful (I especially loved the two Asian ladies who seemed to be running the show, they run a tight ship and are very good at it!). Thank you for one of the best breakfasts I've had! ❤️✨

My family (4 in total) made our debut yesterday morning. Warm welcome on arrival, lovely atmosphere, superb menu and wow, the full breakfasts were something else. Poached eggs cooked to perfection. The biggest hash browns the world has ever seen. All fresh and tasty ingredients. Simply amazing. Ps lovely the Irn Bru little seat.

Wow what a fantastic find! Right underneath the Tyne Bridge, an absolute gem for breakfast, serving fantastic produce for a high end breakfast without the high end prices. Can’t wait to be back in Newcastle next time, we will definitely be back.

Every time my husband and i stay in Newcastle we come here for breakfast and it’s always been a fantastic experience! This time i had bacon stottie with hash browns and he had eggs benedict merguez sausage. Delicious and reasonable price. Previously i have had the English breakfast which was beautiful but too large for me. Its only small place but you don’t normally have to wait long for a table and it’s worth it. Staff very friendly and work hard.

My husband and I visited recently for breakfast whilst staying at the Malmaison close by. There are only a few tables so initially didn't think we would be seated but were given a table for 2 beside the counter. My husband went for the full English with an extra portion of beans and a hash brown. I ordered the brioche french toast with banana, homemade fruit compote and a topping of cream! I had a hot chocolate with marshmallows and my husband had a coffee. My husband is a bit of a cooked breakfast fan and said that it was one of the nicest breakfasts he has had which is praise indeed! The service was friendly and attentive and the food was well presented and delicious. I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit and would certainly return again in the future.

I have always wanted to try out the cafe after reading the reviews so I went with my friend and we were both disappointed by the experience from the start. We were rushed to place drinks order even before we have a chance to take off our coats, the cafe wasn't busy at all at the time. When the foods arrived I made the waitress aware that a drink is yet to arrive even though we were rushed to place the order she assured me it will arrive. The missing drink never came and they removed it off the bill. The whole visit the staff seemed pushy with table turnaround even when it wasn't busy and me and my friend both agreed the foods were nothing special and overly hyped

I find it very expensive for the quality. I ordered a “big nutella croissant” there’s nothing “big” about it since it’s just a normal croissant and it’s not with nutella as it’s written but with chocolate. And when I talk to the cook about it, it’s normal for her… lack of honesty. I therefore advise you not to eat sugar in restaurants. My friends ate the savory one and we really enjoyed it but we found it expensive for the quality… The waitress rushes us to order the drinks but for a simple tea you will have to wait 15 minutes and she will not give you the tea you have ordering… for hot water and a tea bag is a very long time, knowing that there were no more than 15 people in the restaurant. Bad experience. If I go through Newcastle again I won't go back there

Little gem smacked right in the middle of the Quayside, serving delicious breakfast. Choices were overwhelming. The Confit Duck Eggs Benedict was an imaginative twist to the usual fare and absolutely delicious. There is so much else to try on my next visit. Very reasonably priced, great service, high turnover, no frills eatery. A must for any visitors who stay at The Quayside, within walking distance to local lovely hotels.

We happened to be out on a Sunday looking for a breakfast place. The quayside can be quite busy with restaurants that offer almost the same food. We found this restaurant by chance. We were standing outside reading the menu when a member of staff came over and handed us the day menu. Surprisingly it was this gesture that tipped our decision to come in. The restaurant is quite small with about seven tables, however this was what we were looking for because this normally suggests the food is not mass produced. We were not disappointed, we both ordered full English and because I was super hungry, I asked if I could order one of the fruit scones as well. The waiter kindly advised that I might not be able to finish both and she was right, the breakfast was huge!!!! Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the poached eggs which were perfectly shaped and oozed yolk when porked. The black pudding was fresh and tasty. For such a huge portion, the price for a plate was surprisingly low. The menu was quite extensive and as we sat, we observed other patrons being served a variety of dishes. We are keen to get back and try something else. One thing which sets this restaurant apart is how engaging the staff are. The spirt opportunities and employ engagement strategies before one enters without being intrusive. This engagement and friendly manner continues throughout. We had to take the fruit scone and brownie home, they were too inviting!

This place is always busy so thought I’d give it a try. I’ve got to say I was disappointed. The service felt really manic & rushed, with a loud & quite overbearing member of staff frantically flying about. I chose eggs benedict, but both of my eggs were over-cooked, if I wasn’t pushed for time I’d have sent them back - I really don’t get how places struggle to poach a decent egg, if I wanted hard boiled that’s what I would’ve ordered? My husband said his sausage & egg stottie was decent. I didn’t appreciate having the bill put down while we were still eating, or the waitress standing by our table staring at us while I finished my drink because she clearly had someone waiting outside for the table! Very disappointed, wouldn’t return.

The cafe is cute and even though it was busy they were very efficient and barely had to wait. However, the breakfast tea was over 2 quid for just a cup, the full English doesn't come with beans (when I asked for them I was given beans but not told or reminded it was extra - simply charged for the beans and hash browns supplement without an acknowledgement). The french toast was small and very thin and the bacon not that crispy... It's got potential but the food let us down!

Lovely little space (only eight (small) tables!), located right under the largest bridge over the river Tyne. Father and son weekend out, breakfast place spotted by the sun. They do not take reservations and as it was a beautiful sunday morning, there was a little queue outside. Lovely thing about that is that they your drinking and breakfast orders, so that, once in, you are being served rather quickly. The son ordered the Full English, father took scrambled eggs with salmon (and added a large croissant afterwards). All decorated with coffee, orange and water. Four points because of: super friendly staff, very well cooked and good looking food, served fast with temperature as it should. Lovely atmosphere too. Why not five points then? ;) The spot is small and so are the seatings. We were seated in a two-seat bank right at the window, with almost no leg room (which is a bit of a thing for Dutch men of six feet and up… ;)
