Friendly staff and very welcoming they have bands on and st Patrick's day is a must liked going that much I became a member three year ago

Second time I have been here with friends we are all Newcastle united fans 8 of us. Once again we found Pat the old man on the door very rude and offensive he even said if you don't pay then yous can all go elsewhere. Unfortunately I strongly feel this will lose you custom as not everyone will put up with his behaviour. You have a great place with good bar staff good drink at a fair price but Pat the doorman is letting your place down big style.

Situated in Chinese quarter, clean warm, friendly staff, especially Donna. Prices for drink good, fast service, good for watching football Enjoy the craic

Hidden off the beaten track in Gallowgate by the Chinatown 'arch' it has a bar (not 'posh' but with really good beer prices for the centre of Newcastle!) Function Rooms upstairs. There's disabled access including a Lift.

Was invited to the Celtic Supporters Club 35th Anniversary evening. Brilliant atmosphere with band and guest speakers. Really great time; fantastic Guinness, delicious buffet, excellent company, very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Great Spot, loads of TVs with the sport on. Galways Bay beers on Tap and cheap prices.

It is a typical social club . Not particularly cheap and could probably do with a facelift but friendly enough

Tonight was my second time in the place having lived in the city for nigh on twenty years. It's pretty big indeed. I, alongside my associates were in the upper function room for a Sunday night retirement job. As with many club type joints it would benefit from a major cash injection. Don't mishear me though, it was very adequate for this heavy party session. We had loads of room to ourselves, nice catering (Gordon Ramsay wouldn't exactly be sweating of course) which we easily obliterated and a good pint was poured. Downstairs was also packed for a popular Irish sporting event on the big telly.

Wedding party.had the best night.staff helpfulness we were setting up.our barmanJack was brilliant.what a lovely lad and a credit to the irish club.we will definitely be using them again.

Best pint of Guinness in town, by far. Another stout, well worth a try, on tap called Galway also has an IPA. Tyneside blonde on tap. Cocktails on tap. Come and watch the hurling. There's an Irish band on every Thursday night and loads of other stuff. The welcome is warm and the craic mighty. There's a disabled access ramp so drink em dry.

Great joyment dropped a gift photo picture of the place,hope they like it,but refuse to give the WiFi password.

Really friendly place to just sit and enjoy the Irish diaspora. If you're transitioning the bar staff are happy for you to use the disabled toilet. The manageress is accommodating to people transitioning. I'm openly gay and some of the bar staff are as well.

Great place to watch Celtic matches, great atmosphere although having only plastic glasses esp for Guinness is a let down. We went to watch the cup final on 25. May.24 and although there was a good crowd and atmosphere there was no sound on the big screen although was informed it may have been due to a flood earlier in the week. Will Def return to watch future matches and event's. Recommend if your a Celtic fan. 🇮🇪

My family and I have been a member of the Irish club for years. We couldn’t fault any of the bar staff, they’re all spot on. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the door staff. On st Patrick’s day, my family and I came to celebrate at the Irish club. My dad bought all of the membership tickets and my partner arrived slightly late, so when he arrived I met him at the front to give him his membership. Pat who was on the door was extremely rude, getting very close and shouting at me saying I was passing my partner my ticket and he didn’t have his own. I explained to him the situation and he continued to get very close to me, towering over me and being very aggressive. He left me feeling scared and very unwelcome. The Irish club need friendly faces on the doors checking memberships not arrogant, rude men like Pat. This is not the first time he has been ill mannered either.

Since Donna took this club over I can not fault the place...marvellous atmosphere with some great musicians on down and upstairs in the bookable venue. As Arnie and Rambo would say; "I will be back" :)) Well done to all the lovely smiling barmaids as well. Green Geordie author of Green Guardian of the Green Planet, if Greta gets her way! And we all hope that.....

Been here for many a function. Fundraiser, random night out, wake. Proper social club atmosphere, decent prices, always great entertainment.

The elderly doorman is nothing short of obnoxious, angry and very very rude. Went here on match day, given I am not a member I have previously, happily given a donation on entry. I genuinely didn’t have change and only my debit card and I would put some money behind the bar with my card, this night he shouted in my face and said I was to go to Rosie’s across the road if “I’ve no money!” and he “didn’t have time to stand there arguing with the likes of you!” Certainly it’s time he retired and you get some youth in your club. Certainly won’t be rushing back here again.

What a horrible place. Had to pay at least £5 donation to get in. Men on tje door really aggressive. Not very welcoming at all. Would never go back

Good city centre club. Its well maintained and does a very good job in terms of promoting Irish culture. Friendly atmosphere and very good service and beer. Have not tried the food.

We used the upstairs as a venue for a dance show, which actually worked well. Unfortunately the downstairs was rammed with older men, which made us rather uncomfortable coming and going especially in costumes. However if you're of that demographic you'd probably enjoy it as it is very lively.

We are regular irish centre customers and love the place. The staff are top notch and the beer is always brilliant.

First time in club didn't know if it was private club but went in anyway,upstairs a 3 piece band on people getting up to sing and dance very friendly staff even got offered sandwiches and cake,prices a bit high but in city centre,finished at 5 then downstairs for karaoke,now Karaoke is what it is good bad or indifferent it takes bottle to get up,the only thing that lets it down in here is the man who runs it no charisma whatsoever,plays songs in between singers that bring the atmosphere down mostly slow soul records we were going to stay till end but he made it so boring left after an hour.Will go back but only upstairs.

I visited for a retirement do. Great venue accommodated a large number of people but still room for stage & dance floor. Very reasonable price for drinks and the chicken curry was delicious.

Played at the Irish Festival and can only say it was an excellent event. Big thanks to Bill and Tony Corcoran for being active in cultural promotion. Thanks to all staff at the centre for facilitating a pleasant evening. First class Guinness too 👍🎼

So glad The Irish Center started hosting again those Latin dances event on Sundays. There are now 2 rooms, one for salsa/bachata, the other one for kizomba. The classes are adapted to everyone and are followed by a great social dancing. Really like this community !! You definitely can't miss it !!

Visitamos el Tyneside Irish Centre para ver el partido de los Celtic Rangers como una familia de 3, mi esposo y mi hijo de 18 años Mi hijo reservó una mesa con anticipación unas semanas antes, ya que este era un requisito debido a Covid, nos recibió en la puerta un encantadora dama que tenía todos los nombres y números de mesa registrados TODAS nuestras temperaturas fueron tomadas en la puerta por un portero muy amable, todo el personal usaba máscaras y se aseguraba de que todos cumplieran las reglas de distancia social estábamos sentados arriba, todos los caminos claramente marcados nos sentamos en nuestra mesa designada y una maravillosa joven camarera tomó nuestro pedido y los llevó a nuestra mesa entre ella y el barman, todos los clientes pudieron permanecer sentados y disfrutar del partido (además del resultado), solo nos gustaría agradecer a la gerencia y el personal que hizo todo lo posible para asegurarse de que todos los clientes estuvieran seguros, el servicio fue excelente, nos sentimos muy seguros y alentaríamos a las personas a visitar el lugar, ya que es evidente que todo el personal está trabajando duro en estos veces gracias a todos por un día maravilloso todos fueron sobresalientes

Went to 2020 - St. Patrick's Dinner. Brilliant music by Tony Corcoran and his band plus special guest, Irish harpist Una who was outstanding. Fabulous food - cabbage, bacon, mash and shamrock sauce then very tasty apple pie. A great sense of community and belonging. Plenty of dancing opportunities with great 'callers.

Pleasant atmosphere but pricey drinks

John Smith's 3. 80 una pinta, cerveza más de 4. Fui a un pub local de camino al club irlandés y pagué 2. 60 por una pinta de John Smith's, y ese pub tiene que pagar a los accionistas que el club irlandés no paga.No volveré a toda prisa.

Pricey, £3.80 for a pint of John Smith's. Staff friendly, but overall the decor is very tatty. I won't be rushing back in a hurry.
