Cute place and sweet waitresses! The interior was nice. We sat upstairs which was a lot calmer than downstairs. We had the chai tea latte which was really tasty. For food we ordered the eggs Benedict, a salmon bagel and the pumpkin chorizo soup. The eggs Benedict were great. The bagel was nice, but simple in terms of flavour. The soup was interesting, it was tasty. The only thing I would change about it is adding in the bits chorizo after blending the soup. Overall a cute place, would recommend!

- Service disappointing for a Wednesday lunchtime. Tables not cleared and just one person serving the whole upstairs area. - Location is outside the market, not inside. - The chicken avocado salad was really tasty and I had no idea mango chutney could work so well!

Popped in for a light breakfast and was well impressed with the eggs royale. A little bit more seasoning in the hollandaise would have been perfect but hey that's why salts at the table. The staff were lovely and the decor simplicity manifest. What are the charges ? For eating a succulent breakfast ! Well worth a visit

Waited for a table for about 15 minutes, which was fine but were offered a coffee table. Once we were seated, but before we had ordered, two people left a shared larger table and we wanted to move to those seats (we planned on ordering soup) but were told we weren't allowed to do that and would have to rejoin the back of the queue!! Was told by the manageress that this was policy as we had accepted an unsuitable table - so basically we just had to lump it!

Given an unsuitable table - low coffee table when we’d planned to have soup. Before we had ordered another table became available but we were told we couldn’t move to it and would have to go to the back of the queue. I’ve never experienced anything so bizarre! Such a lovely little cafe in Newcastle. I was impressed to learn they collaborated with Teapigs to make the Apple and cinnamon tea, which is delicious! The cakes from here are nice and freshly made - I miss having them, so recommend if you can. Not sure if they do coeliac friendly gluten-free cakes. It is quite a pricey cafe, but pleasant with nice staff.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, but you can see that (through the open kitchen) they’re using a lot of pre prepared, commercial ingredients. For the prices they’re charging they should not be using pre-cooked sausages and cartons of hollandaise sauce. Admittedly the menu does not advertise the dishes as homemade - and everything is tasty - it’s just for the cost of each dish they should not be using the Wetherspoons model. £3.50 for half a small avocado seems a lot as well. Service was quite slow too considering the number of staff.

What pleasant, well trained helpful staff! Popped in for lunch on the spur of the moment with a friend who is visiting Newcastle. She has lots of food intolerances & is very hard to please but the staff answered all her questions and met all her requirements without batting an eye. Friends had salads, which looked good and were substantial. They praised the coffee. Only gripe was that the goat's cheese was cold, seemingly fresh from the fridge, so lacking in flavour. A great space to eat, with high ceilings and bit of character. Good value, friendly and enough choice on the menu for a soup/salad/ sandwich style lunch or brunch. Huge selection of cakes.

On arrival we were welcomed by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating for gluten-free intolerances, offering a good selection of cakes and traybakes. They showed pride in the two shelves dedicated to gluten-free bakes. Among three, we shared a cherry and almond slice, berry baked cheesecake as well as a red velvet cheesecake brownie. All three were very sweet and filling, which ended up with us unable to finish. I would recommend having a traybake to share among two. It is important to note that due to the bakes being gluten-free, the texture was a little off, with some being more dry and crumbly than the others. The drinks that accompanied our bakes were all very delicious, I would recommend having the banana milkshake or the chai latte.

A cute restaurant with a nice vibe and relaxing atmosphere. Nice breakfast offerings with ample portions, leading to a very filling brunch! The eggs were poached perfectly and matched a rich hollandaise sauce, crispy bacon, and thick sliced crusty bread. Greek yogurt accompanying the granola was similarly rich and tasty and there was a nice variety of berries and dried fruits. In this latter case, though, I do wish the portion size was a little larger. Service was friendly, but a little slow.

Complete garbage. The business (breakfast) consisted of 2 very cheap tasting sausages, 1 large Cold mushroom, a handful of massively overcooked "crispy" bacon, a handful of completely raw clay cold cherry tomatoes (meant to be roasted) microwaved scrambled eggs, a bit toast with butter, all scattered with a bit if rocket. A nice cute cafe. It was very busy when we visited so there was a wait and then we shared a communal table. Staff seemed a bit rushed and flustered. They had ran out of a few things which held up the delivery of food as we had to change our order. We were served by at least 3 different people which led to some confusion. No wifi which was disappointing as there was little to no signal in the cafe. Cakes and sweet treats all looked delicious and the lemon poppy seed was tasty Sandwich / panini was average. Plenty of selection and sizes were enormous but they were sitting in the same glassed area as gluten cakes so ongoing cross contamination throughout the day. If they were wrapped individual I would have bought some or if an option of housing them totally separate so they can be sold as absolute gluten free items. I’m attached photo top 2 shelves are gf. Good food but Gluten Free Beware! I went here with a friend as it was recommended to us and was attracted by the possibility of the option of gluten free toast (I am gluten intolerant). I ordered the avocado and eggs with gluten free toast. When our order came to the table I thought my bread looked remarkably like normal bread so I asked the waitress "this is gluten free bread, right?". She answered "yes". After one bite of it though I knew immediately it was normal bread so I asked another waitress who said "no that's the sourdough". They made me a new one with gluten free but sadly too late for me having had a bite. Now I'm having an extremely painful workday. So don't risk it, or make sure you triple check with different members of staff what's on your plate... 🤔

Lovely food but let down by silly rules. What a fuss they made when we asked to move from bar stools to tables that became vacant. First 2 tables, the excuse was they were tables for 4 and people were waiting in queues outside ( even though there were originally only 2 people on each table). When a table for 2 became vacant, I again asked to move as our food had not yet arrived. The girl said no as we had claimed the bar stool seats and people were queuing downstairs for tables. I suggested they let us move as we had been there for 20 minutes, and give bar stools to customers waiting in queue. She was really rude and only moved us when I pointed out my husband is 70 and that I had never heard anything like it and poor customer service. On this occasion only she said, but was warned in the future they won't. Well sorry but they won't be a future visit. Shame as was a return visit. Also it was very cold upstairs.( If you want friendly service, look elsewhere)
