Westerhope Sandwich Deli in Newcastle upon Tyne

Tiny place on the main street but also had seating inside. Staff in here are fast and efficient. You can get plenty of different sandwiches cold or hot and a small selection of cakes as well. The quality of the sandwiches are pretty high they even shredd the lettuce finely so they obviously do a lot of prep work. Good flavours and ok bread. Decent place for a snack if you can find some parking on the side streets.

Great food in this place chicken burgers is one of the best Iv had better that the big franchises spoke to the owner/ cook today nice guy will definitely be back again 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

BEST and I mean the best sandwich deli I’ve been too (that’s coming from someone with a massive appetite who has been to a daft amount of places 🤣), there’s a huge variety on the menu for even the pickiest of eaters, the place is clean and tidy and staff are so lovely and chatty! Food is really fresh and presented well. Had a Mexican cheese burger (£2.50) well worth it, big in size, loads of flavour, really soft bun and seasoned perfectly, honestly if you’ve not been you need to go! I know I’ll be coming back 😃

Don't patronise this place or you may live (or not live) to regret it. Called here 2 days ago to get a well deserved bacon sandwich but couldn't enter the premises. Why? Neither of the two staff were wearing any face covering whatsoever. Face coverings are required to help protect others. They therefore, clearly, have no respect for others or interested in helping to protect others. If that's all they think of their customers then they aren't getting any of my money.

I've just ordered and collected and ate an Americano sandwich from this place and I have to say that it was absolutely delicious!! Full of flavour and definitely good value for money. On noticing that cucumber was about to be placed on my sandwiche I asked if I could change to onions I was informed that it will cost more even though they both cost the same. Left a slight sour taste after the amazing Americano 😊

Really enjoyed our food! We ordered a mixture of hot and cold food and everything tasted amazing. Cold sandwiches are stuffed full, lovely soft buns and you can tell the salad is fresh. Hot food is cooked to order which means you have to wait a few minutes, but its worth it as it tastes amazing! Will definitely come back again! :)

Freshly prepared, fully stuffed sandwiches which are always tasty. Great friendly staff and service. Good value and always a pleasure.

Great food but refused to take Scottish banknote, said too many forgeries around. I live in Inverness and was visiting my mam, luckily I had enough change to pay.

Having only tried the breakfast menu i can say the food is good quality, waiting times can be more than expected if you catch at a busy time, take this as a good sign though cause obviously means others think it's good too, the coffee could be better though, I like a fresh brew personally

My partner is a fussy eater but every time she knows I'm going here I have to bring her a sandwich back too... The breakfast in a bun is my personal favourite, prices are fair the food I very good & the place is clean an easy 5 stars, the girls are really canny as well. Definitely worth a try.....

I VISITED THIS DELI TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME. I AM A LOCAL TO WESTERHOPE AND HAVE ALWAYS PASSED BY BUT WANTED SOME LUNCH AS I WAS DOWN NEAR THERE ANYWAY SO CALLED IN. IT WAS A VERY BUSY LITTLE PLACE WHICH IS ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN. LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER GREETED ME AND ASKED IF I HAD ORDERED YET.. ANSWER WAS NO BUT I THEN PROCEEDED TO DO SO. I OFFERED PAYMENT BUT WAS TOLD SHE WOULD TAKE PAYMENT ONCE FOOD WAS READY. I TOOK A SEAT .... HOPE THEY DIDN'T MIND ME STEALING IT LOL.... I WAITED ABOUT 7 TO 8 MINUTES FOR MY FOOD WHICH WASN'T A GREAT DEAL ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAD ORDERED A SPECIAL BURGER. WHILE WAITING I COULKDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE HOW ACCOMODATING THE LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER WAS TO OTHER CUSTOMERS OFFERING TO MAKE UP AN ITEM FOR A CUSTOMER BECAUSE SHE HAD NONE LEFT ON DISPLAY. MY FOOD ARRIVED AND THE GENT WAS VERY APOLOGETIC FOR MY WAIT BUT AS IT WAS BUSY IT WAS EXPECTED AND ESPECIALLY SINCE I ORDERED A BURGER. I SAID IT WASN'T A PROBLEM AND SMILED AND SAID CAN'T BE HELPED IF BUSY. I WAS ASKED HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR FOOD WHICH WAS NICE SAID THANK YOU ETC..... GREAT EXPERIENCE. THE FOOD I ORDERED WAS THE MEXICANA SPECIAL AND CHIPS. THE CHIPS WERE A GOOD SIZE PORTION NOT GREASY ETC REALLY NICE. THE BURGER WELL THIS WAS AN AMAZING COMBINATION OF INGREDIENTS CRISPY BACON GARNISH CHICKEN BREAST JALAPENOS ETC... THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST BURGER I'VE HAD IN A LONG WHILE EVEN MORE SATISFYING THAN A KFC BURGER... IF I WAS THE COLNEL I'D BUY THIS RECIPE. WELL DONE FOR SERVICE WELL DONE FOR THE FOOD AND I WILL RETURN AGAIN AND AGAIN ...CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVENT CALLED IN BEFORE.

La comida es estupenda, gran desayuno es imprescindible, la amplia variedad en el menú, y precios razonables hacen de esta tienda una visita obligada para todos los que usted necesita comida. Bien recomendado

Brilliant little place this- breakfast sandwiches are second to none and really nice selection of cold sandwiches too. Definitely worth a try. Very reasonably priced too.

Friendly Staff, Good Quality Ingredients, Nice & Clean - only 4 star as the sandwiches could do with being filled more in my opinion (cheese & salad etc.)

Had breakfast sandwich from here as recently changed hands. Very nice and really reasonably priced, looked to have an extensive menu too, so will definitely go back.

The Sunday dinner delivery service is great. Cheap but tasty and plenty.
