We met up with our son, wife and granddaughter here for lunch. The food was just right, the portion sizes were good and the food was tasty, The waitress provided colouring sheets and crayons for the 4 1/2 year old. All £65, excellent value

Our 1YO niece gives the Fountains Cafe 5 stars. She was made very welcome and provided with a high chair. When my fish and chips came Holly helped me eat them, she pronounced them excellent. I was of the same opinion. Really nice friendly staff where nothing is to much trouble.

When visiting England,Sunday lunch is first on our agenda. Having done some googling we came across the Fountain Cottage, so we phoned and booked. When we did they asked what we would prefer as a meat, lamb being my preference. Just as well we did book as this place is heaving for Sunday lunch. Highly recommend it, one thing for sure you will not leave hungry. Service superb and very reasonably priced, even a bottle of wine was just £16.95. If you’re in Bellingham over the weekend this is a must.

Would highly recommend a visit. The staff are pleasant it has a lovely ambiance and a great selection on the menu. And dogs are welcome 🐶

My Girlfriend and I stayed over at the weekend. The room was absolutely lovely, clean, spacious and high-spec. Breakfast was delicious and provides a range of options. The staff were really friendly. I would highly recommend staying over and look forward to returning.

I came here with a mate who lives in Bellingham for lunch. I was expecting to find limited vegan options out in the stick but alas, I was proven welcomingly wrong! They had an enormous range of options as well as plant-based milk for the hot drinks, plant-based cheese, plant-based ice and more. Unfortunately, they had ran out of some of the veggies for the Sunday dinner so only charged me the kids price despite making up for it with extra of the veggies they did have. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I'd recommend Fountain Cottage Café to anyone in the area. Very impressive and a credit to Bellingham!

We had a takeaway on Sunday which was lovely. Returned Monday for a sit in lunch with our daughter and granddaughter. Everyone enjoyed their meals with nothing left on our plates! Great tasting and big portions. Lovely staff. Another great meal.

This place is amazing, beautiful cafe serving home cooked food and amazing cakes. A lovely young lady talked me through all the cakes when I was having a look and trying to make my mind up; it was reasonably priced, spotlessly clean and they ket you take well behaved doggies in! I really enjoyed it, thankyou!

Arrived early for our table but it was ready for us, the lady serving us was lovely, we all had the Sunday lunches which consisted of a pork, a lamb & 2 chicken, each with gravy & a giant Yorkshire Pudding, there was plenty of meat on the plates, there were a load of vegetables too just didn’t get that in the photo. The lattes were really lovely, both mums thoroughly enjoyed their visit & we hope to return again soon. Incredibly dog friendly & imagine its even better when the Aga is lit (if it works) as it was a tad cold at times when people were holding the door open, so do opt for a table at the top or bottoms to minimise draught!

Excellent cafe, attentive staff, decent food and reasonable prices. Always busy which is a good sign I guess. Recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Love the pizzas and fish and chips so if you are cold and wet from walking or a bike ride go good coffee and cake

Very switched on attentive staff in regards to gluten free, vegan and vegetarian requirements. Food was lovely. Best chips we’ve had in a long time.

This is my 3rd visit to this lovely cafe. There are tables outside but obviously depends on weather. Twice before I was able to sit outside & the lovely staff off fab service whether you're inside or out. 1st visit back in July I had sausage & egg bap which was huge & really reasonably priced. 2nd visit in Sept, I had coffee & cake which was sooo good. Visited few days ago for breakfast which did not disappoint. Decent portions & prices yet again. Service excellent & lovely atmosphere. Love fact that its dog friendly as able to bring my pooch inside (or out if its nice obviously). Worth a visit.

A perfect 2 night stay - just wish we could have stayed longer. Spotlessly clean, fabulous location for walks and lovely village with so much history and wonderful friendly people. I saw this on 4 in a bed. Cafe award winning. In area so decided to call in. Beautiful place. Smart clean modern. Lovely atmosphere. Quite busy but there was tables. You collect menu from ice cream hatch and take seat. They come take yr order. Lots on menu. Vegan options. Had vegan sausage sandwich with salad and earl grey tea with soya milk. Hubby had vegan breakky and black coffee. Toilets immaculate All servers friendly polite accommodating and helpful. Food came quick. Sandwich was huge. Kept half to take home in doggy bag! Tasted some of hubbys and it was beautiful. Hot fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced too (whole lot came to just approx £20. ). Well worth a trip. Wud call again in a heartbeat. Well recommend ❤️

Lovely place and good food not too expensive . We were staying in otterburn just 6 miles away so wanted a meal out. There's not many eating places around here and I found this one on search for places to eat which turn out to be very good and would recommend if in this area. Service really good and relaxed atmosphere. Was with my husband,daughter,son in law and 2 grandchildren all food was enjoyed by all.

Absolutely beautiful meal with friendly and accommodating staff. Would recommend. Really reasonable and amazing homemade chips. We stopped somewhere prior which was quite unwelcoming so we were pleased to have some good food and give the fountain cottage out business. Great play area too for the kids just along the road.

Dog friendly which was great for us. We enjoyed jacket potatoes with loads of fillings of prawn Marie rose and tuna with cheese and onion,both came with side salads and coleslaw. The portions were huge and very filling.Very reasonably priced for the food we had which was delicious. Visited a few times and will definitely return.
