The best restaurants in South Tyneside North East

Changing my review due to got a munchy box last night and well over cooked every thing was dry and hard....never again...go down the road to a 10 min walk for better quality.......really disappointed 😞

Without doubt the worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. Condescending attitude and the server watched over the table like a owl as we were the only people in (not surprising). Had the worst garlic mushroom starter ever encountered followed by a a pasta which was like hunt the chicken. All of the meals were poor with little meat and lots of sauce. When we complained we were told that a breast of chicken was used per two meals - no chance. Would never return.

If passing through Hebburn iether alone or with my son,calling in here is a must for us and todays no different.The food is always done perfectly the way we like it,staff are always friendly & helpful.Theres also a lovely seating area were I watch the world go by.lovely and chilled and very well fed.I highly recommend a visit here.

Beautiful hotel and setting shame there was dirty tables food on the floor rubbish bags left near the breakfast food dirty cups left on tables outside and big issue of being locked in the hotel no staff or access to phone as signal non existent and staff forgot to leave emergency phone out only way out we had was a key we were given to unlock the emergency exit on to the beach We told to ring the manager if there was an emergency but we couldn’t have done with not having the emergency phone Didn’t eat in the restaurant as it was very expensive and what we saw being served to other people in the restaurant didn’t look appetising

First time ordering and never again. Order came with missing items, cold chewy rubber like chicken and they can't see to read order notes

Fabulous, hot pizzas, tasty & delicious. Prompt service. Ordered through their App and ordered to be collected as doon as possible. It was ready well within 20 mins. Staff were very polite and friendly.

Just had delivery earlier than expected fish and chips were excellent 5 sters

Excellent decor and ambience. Wide selection of menu items going beyond the usual but with the old favourites also covered. Some of us went with the happy hour special menu with a starter, main with rice and naan included and a few others plumped for things that caught their eye outside of that menu. Very pleasant and patient staff.

Used to be lovely.now under new management the fish and chips were terrible.tasrless batter chips were horrible.wont be back

Service slow as the place was busy. They'd put a band on and hadn't catered staffing wise for the amount of business they received

I ordered a scheduled delivery for 18.30 yesterday and it didn't arrive until 19.00. I ordered 3hrs early so I don't know why it was late. Driver didn't say much. Food was good but I wish they would have at least said why it was late.

…. We always like to try out new takeaways/restaurants/pubs so decide to try the Garden Lane Kitchen and bar. We liked the descriptions of the burgers, kebabs and pizzas but settled for a mixed ‘dona’ box and one chicken loaded fries. The food was received on time but it needed warming up which is a bit annoying. The loaded fries came in a quirky style square box but when opening the silver foil covered box with the ‘dona’ in we were totally surprised by the lack of meat. All the salad is nice but you’re paying for the meats and despite being tasty there was a lack of it. This spoiled our first experience of this venue.

Pizza base was nice and that was about it the pepperoni was in edable on the pizza the chips on the garlic bread special were blaintly this afternoons recooked absolutely rotten
