…. We always like to try out new takeaways/restaurants/pubs so decide to try the Garden Lane Kitchen and bar. We liked the descriptions of the burgers, kebabs and pizzas but settled for a mixed ‘dona’ box and one chicken loaded fries. The food was received on time but it needed warming up which is a bit annoying. The loaded fries came in a quirky style square box but when opening the silver foil covered box with the ‘dona’ in we were totally surprised by the lack of meat. All the salad is nice but you’re paying for the meats and despite being tasty there was a lack of it. This spoiled our first experience of this venue.

We go here every year in July when it is is open for just three weeks. Very reasonably priced three course lunch and the quality is excellent. Limited choice but everyone was pleaed with their food. Loveley setting and service is really good. Very competitively priced wine list. Will be back next year.

Finding the Garden room in the walks takes a bit of time as Google maps gets thrown off by all the nooks and crannies around Gray's inn. Once you find it, it is an oasis in the heart of London, a marquee in in the middle of a little known park safe from the crowds of tourists and hustle and bustle outside. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and could enjoy the best this place had to offer, great food in a beautiful setting. It is friendly, a bit informal and a relaxing setting where I took some work colleagues from out of town. A hit, we enjoyed the food and found it a delightful break to a busy day.

A really lovely setting, quite a limited food and wine menu but what there is, is good. downside is the VERY amateur service which blights so many London food venues. If you can deal with that still a lovely experience.

A lovely place to sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch, although two courses can be finished within an hour so it is good for lunch or pre-theatre. Food was great and very good value. Service was excellent. Will visit again.

The usual long wait due to the amount of delivery drivers that seem to get priority.

I visited again to try the month’s Indian special burger. Firstly the service is fast & and the food is really hot. The menu has a good range of options and add ons. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Inside is always very clean and I like the menus being so large on the wall. The Indian burger had their homage brioche bun which was fluffy , tikka fried chicken which is a game changer, masala sauce, smashed onion bhaji which was full of flavour and a mint sauce. Mango chutney tenders on the side and tasty fries. All for less than £18 you just can’t go wrong. They have their homage brioche normal menu which is amazing value for money aswell.
