Subway in South Tyneside

Went in this morning with my husband for a subway melt, which she didn’t know what it was, I had to go on the subway website to tell her what was in one, then argued that you don’t get salad in a subway melt baring in mind what I showed her clearly stated choice of vegetables and sauce, so she had to remake it after I argued again, when my husband asked for a Philly cheese stake she just put in stake and cheese and when I pointed out what the board said what was in it she tried to argue again and proceeded to go off in a huff because she didn’t want to follow her own menu. I wouldn’t recommend going to subway in hebburn ever again, the one at the garage in Jarrow does a hell of a better job then these do

Couldn't sit in, looked dirty and chopping boards were minging. Too expensive for what it is.

Ordered on just eat, half of the order was missing, rang the shop to explain within 5 minutes the missing items were personally delivered with a free 2l bottle of pop to apologize.

Very slow service as some kind of audit was going on (although neither the Manager nor Area Manager (I asssume) were dressed in any way relating to Subway or the catering industry). The sandwich was soggy and I couldn't detect the cheese or toasted that I requested. It had about three times the amount of jalepenos on that you would normally expect. It was actually the worst Subway sandwich that I have ever eaten. Also the menu now seems to have got ridiculously complicated for some reason.

The food is nice nut getting very expensive

Just been into Hebburn branch, and the blonde lady who served me really needs to improve her customer service. No eye contact, no smile or even looked remotely interested. I asked a question and her reply “WHAT”. I know it’s a really hot day and uncomfortable working conditions but the shop was really cool with air con on fully blast. I was going to strike up conversation and comment that it was really cool and pleasant inside, but to be honest didn’t want to feel anymore embarrassed and degraded to be spoken to like dirt. Keep up the good work because your customers will not be back.

I visit everyweek for a couple of sub meal deals just been today the shop was empty they were busy making subs for delivery when I got served I ordered a 6inch sub for my daughter and the girl was busy making a steak footlong sub for delivery I watched her push the meat down with her fingers then when it came out of the oven she pressed meat down again and made my daughters sub without changing her gloves so I decided not to get my tuna sub as I'm vegetarian and only eat seafood and didn't want it contaminated with meaty fingers I won't be getting anymore subs for me again .

Usually fine, use regularly. Today service was a bit slow and had to eat sandwiches with a knife and fork as way too much marinara sauce. Still tasted good though.

Do not recommend i had food poising after eating one of their sandwiches and was ill for 2 days

All the usual range of Subway products. Fast friendly service. Great sandwiches, what's not to love!!

It's Subway, always fresh sandwiches made the way you want them.

Love subway. This one has nice staff and like all subways serves delicious fresh food which can only be described as delicious and made to order. Love the offers they put on and like the variety of breads and sauces so you can mix it up and try different things and flavours. Love the new wraps and a salad bowl is wicked to take for a picnic.

Food is always really nice + tasty here. Place is v.clean, staff friendly + noticed it received 5 stars recently off Environmental Health.

Male member of staff told female member to use scoop and instead of giving customers full scoop shake some out give 3/4 scoop can make last longer sell more disgusting

Always friendly and helpful and very patient.

A typical subway, keep an eye on them cutting the sandwich in half thougyas they sometimes don't do it.
