Used to be lovely.now under new management the fish and chips were terrible.tasrless batter chips were horrible.wont be back

Freshly cooked and nicely priced.

We ordered 2 chips and a sausage and chips with curry sauce,asked if there was anything ready so we didn't need to wait.so ordered sausage as it was ready,got told it would be a couple of minutes for chips,said ok,stood about 15 minutes waiting, the chips wernt very well cooked and the batter was awful to hard to eat.also a small portion in the carton,the curry sauce was cold and very salty,it was poured out of a paper coffee cup that was in the heater bit,overall not enjoyable,might of been a one off but will be going elsewhere next time.

Awful chips, somehow they were cooked on the outside and tasted raw in the middle. Very disappointed.

Vile chips. We would have taken back if hadn’t walked down to beach. Will never got again. They tasted awful. Had been refried/ reheated. The cheese Pattie and cod bites just tasted of dirty fat. Can’t believe how bad food was. Worst chippy we have ever been to!

Love this little gem of a place! It looks like a little pokey joint but don't let the looks deceive you, they fry to order in beef dripping and prices actually aren't that bad considering you're on the sea front.

Fair prices for being on the sea front but the chips in the chip butty I bought were quite poor a lot of chip ends and just tiny bits.

Visited South Shields on Wednesday May 31st...a very typical town center and a once magnificent sea front..the icing on the cake for my wife and I was our visit to the Log Cabin for a spot of lunch. Now I can shift some food.... but this mega portion of fish and chips was amazing.I can honestly say I struggled to finish the meal....incredible chips and absolutely finely battered crispy fish...I was so impressed I complemented the chef..

Massive thank you to Donna & her husband & team for just being absolutely fantastic. Food is always cooked fresh & in front of you. Food is amazing by the way. Also today for their staff who went above and beyond. One of them kindly asked our friend’s daughter to stop playing on the railings but kids being kids she didn’t listen. Exactly what he said would happen eventually happened. They kindly bought out an ice pack some sweets and an ice lolly to this effect she stopped crying. Nothing is to Little for these guys. Honestly if you’re on the sea front grab yourself some fish & chips 💯. My parents are also looking forward to coming up again in August and I’ve already been told where we are going. Thank again guys. 👌

Amazing fish and chips, and friendly staff

Chips are cooked in seperate fryer but not suitable for those with coeliacs as they’re fried in beef dripping (I think). Nice fish and chips though for those who don’t suffer from gluten intolerances

Chips look as though they have been sat in the hot box for hours, didn't even eat a second as they were inedible. Was quiet so obviously they didn't want to cook fresh chips but not really fair on us

The BEST Fish & Chips in South Shields. Staff were really friendly and chatted to us while we waited which wasn't long at all. Freshly done and fish were huge with crispy batter and plenty of chips, you can really taste the difference being fried in beef dripping, delicious!

By far the nicest fish and chips I've ever had 👌 and the staff is lovely 🙂 See you soon hopefully 😋😋

VERY POOR STAFF Attitude TO PEOPLE, CHEEKY AND Sarcastic . DO NOT GO THERE . I WILL NOT RETURN THERE. VERY VERY BAD. THE WORST CHIPS WHERE COLD FISH WAS RUBBERY. CLOSE DOWN PLACES LIKE THIS BY NOT GOING THERE.

Will never return. Waited over half an hour for chips and cod bites. The box was only half full and fish was not cooked. Whole lot went in the bin. Avoid!

Ordered three fish, two were very good - nice, flavourful chunky fish with good batter - but one was much less good (mainly because it was a very thin piece.) It says they fry in beef dripping and the chips were very tasty but portions were quite small.

The most horrible fish & chips I've ever eaten in my life. The fish was chewy & and the batter was soggy, the chips were also undercooked would not recommend......

My mother and her friend have just paid £15 for 2 pensioners fish and chips and 2 cups of tea, the fish must be really fresh as when they got back to the car they had disappeared so in essence they've paid £7.50 each for a bag of chips and a cup of tea. I thought fish was brain food, maybe's they want to try eating some.

Fantastic food and a lovely woman who serves you. I come from London to visit family and this is the only place I go for fish and chips

Normally the fish and chips are great, I usually don’t mind the more expensive price due to them frying their fish in beef dripping. But this time the chips were underdone and the fish was minuscule. So not very impressed. Edit: - also when I bit into the fish it was soggy and underdone also, they must have been in a rush, but worst I’ve ever had.

Good quality fish and chips there are a lot of places around this area but this is one I always return to. Do t expect it to be cheap it on the seafront and its right next to a funfair but my choice every time

Bardzo fajny fish and chips w dobrej cenie. Wszystko świeże, robione na twoich oczach. Jedyny minus to płatność tylko gotówką. Ale i tak fajnie. Polecam!
