Popped in here while in Jarrow and had an amazing breakfast, chose your own,8 items of your choice for £2.99, fantastic value, cooked to perfection and in quick time by a lovely Young lady, the cafe was spotless and staff/owner really friendly. Nice friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend popping in here.

Beautiful hotel and setting shame there was dirty tables food on the floor rubbish bags left near the breakfast food dirty cups left on tables outside and big issue of being locked in the hotel no staff or access to phone as signal non existent and staff forgot to leave emergency phone out only way out we had was a key we were given to unlock the emergency exit on to the beach We told to ring the manager if there was an emergency but we couldn’t have done with not having the emergency phone Didn’t eat in the restaurant as it was very expensive and what we saw being served to other people in the restaurant didn’t look appetising

You have to pay to park your car at this restaurant, the restaurant could be a lot nicer , staff ok, food not up to a good standard in our opinion, tables need to be cleaner ,toilets an absolute disgrace we are just coming out of covid for heavens sake clean up your act,

Visited on a whim with a friend after seeing the 3 for £10 cocktail sign outside. An absolutely beautiful interior, very friendly, polite and helpful staff. You can mix and match the cocktails which arrived quickly and high quality. Then after 5pm there is an complimentary cheese board which is amazing and of the highest quality and standard. I do not understand how the place wasn't packed. Cocktail deals and free cheese my idea of heaven. Would highly recommend.

Whilst this pub is welcoming and comfortable and the staff very nice, the food really isn’t up to scratch. This is mainly because it is either frozen or prepared somewhere else and heated up. Today we “enjoyed” frozen scampi, frozen peas, frozen chips, reheated kebab meat and package mac and cheese. The cheesy flavour was decent but the pasta was overcooked. It takes 10 minutes to boil pasta. Why would anyone serve a boil in the bag or microwave version? Also, a basic like serving Parmesan with a pasta dish would improve the flavour. I also had a jam sponge and custard. The jam had never seen a strawberry and the custard was lacking flavour. This pub could be great if they had a shorter menu and a chef who made traditional pub grub from scratch instead of a huge menu of bland nothingness. Imagine a side of freshly cooked vegetables rather than a choice of just frozen mushy or garden peas. Sadly we won’t be returning for food.

Called in here for a quick cuppa and also had an orange and chocolate muffin. Cafe airy and light but noisy with children running about and crying. Would visit again when quieter.

first time we have visited, came for sunday lunch. we had pre booked a table, but it wasnt that busy. we were shown to our table, but took awhile before the drinks order was taken. we also waited a few minutes before the menu was brought to us. there was 3 choices of meat, beef pork or chicken. we opted for the beef. the meal was served hot and nicely presented, with a gravy boat so you could pour on your own. the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The meal itself was very nice and for £7 we enjoyed it. Yes I would return again.

Lovely porridge, and brilliant friendly service from Darren and Angie (Ann?), made such a difference to our day, what a pleasure a smile and a cheerful welcome make, thank you.

Really slow service, took an age to get lunch. Pizza was greasy with no cutlery, salad or any add-ons, serviette. Just pizza in a box. Decent sport on TV and near the beach

Not a good place for people with sensory processing disorders or autism, or for those simply wanting a relaxing morning coffee. The music was blaring and I couldn't drown it out with headphones or white noise at high volume. The design of the building is open plan and echoey so the music doesn't need to be that loud to carry. I asked a girl behind the counter to turn it down just a bit and she looked at me as though I was asking for the earth and said she'd have to ask her supervisor. I added that it was driving me crazy. She then resumed chatting to her other colleagues behind the counter, no follow-up discussion about my request. This was at around 08:45. Who wants to listen to oppressively loud music blasting at that time of morning? And why do you need to discuss such a simple matter with a supervisor?
