Lovely porridge, and brilliant friendly service from Darren and Angie (Ann?), made such a difference to our day, what a pleasure a smile and a cheerful welcome make, thank you.

Popped into the cafe for a hot chocolate and scone,my friend had pop and a scone. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff were most helpful and very very friendly Angela(took note of the badge)couldn't have been nicer if she'd tried, and made us feel welcome . We'll definitely pop in again soon Highly recommended

The place is a shambles! The old lady manager, I think (name badge said Helen), was so insulting to the other members of staff, who were all running around while she barked orders at them to do this and to do that and to get the lunch meals on at 11:00 even though breakfast menu is served till 12:00. Breakfast menu and lunch menu together? Never been known! She even snapped at the young man doing the dishes, and demanded he come help on the counter, despite there being no cutlery for people. Then she disappeared round the back but you could see her on her mobile. The queue was round the corner, into the George section, but she still didn't help them. I'm going to visit the cafe again, hopefully she's not there. The atmosphere might be better. If not, I'll go elsewhere!

Coffee latte ok, price for toddler meal £1 good but the rest awful. Staff miserable, high chair was left with crusty food on it. Not a place I’d go too if it hadn’t been for the toddler needed his lunch.

Visited on a whim with a friend after seeing the 3 for £10 cocktail sign outside. An absolutely beautiful interior, very friendly, polite and helpful staff. You can mix and match the cocktails which arrived quickly and high quality. Then after 5pm there is an complimentary cheese board which is amazing and of the highest quality and standard. I do not understand how the place wasn't packed. Cocktail deals and free cheese my idea of heaven. Would highly recommend.

Service slow as the place was busy. They'd put a band on and hadn't catered staffing wise for the amount of business they received

My boyfriend and I parked down at fairgrounds and walked along the coast line to The Grotto. We were in awe at the pub and the surrounding location and views. We had a drink of beer and wine, and then beer and coffee, which were reasonable priced, and sat back and enjoyed watching the waves crash onto the shore. Inside the pub was very clean and very modern and we had great service. The pub was decorated lovely and it felt wonderful to sit in and admire. We also sat outside as well and enjoyed the fresh air and the sounds of the birds and the waves. It wasn’t very busy either so it was nice and quiet and relaxing. The facilities were all clean and tidy. We will definitely be returning and bring loved ones to enjoy this beautiful pub.

First time i have been in for a while and was pleasantly surprised. Was busy, friendly atmosphere, bar staff excellent, good choice of beers. Prices are comparable to any other pub in the area. Will return.
