A lovely dining experience. Quiet, serene, lovely calm atmosphere. Food and service excellent. Thank you. You could have a conversation at the table without music blaring in your ears.

Visited for lunch with friends. I had scampi & chips. The chips were hand cut and skin on but I found them luke warm & a bit soggy. The scampi was ok. It was served with a small salad of lettuce, small pieces of pepper, cucumber and chunky slices of carrot which were a bit out of place. Grated would have been better or small pieces to match the peppers etc. It looked like a bit of an after thought. I would return but I did find it a bit disappointing.
I’ve been visiting Corbridge Tandoori for many years. The food has never been anything less than superb, and the staff always welcoming and friendly.
Top class. Highly recommend
Came across this place by accident and was a very fortunate find. Scrummy breakfast, very generous portion of high quality produce, coffee served in large cups. Selection of cooked breakfasts, filled baps and omelettes. The lunch menu looked equally tasty. Lovely farmshop selling variety of foods and gifts.
Called in for coffee and cake. Very disappointed. Cafe was very dirty. Service was extremely slow. Some people left as the wait was too long even though cafe was not busy. Far too many dogs.
Food OK but disappointing.
Well the food might be first class but the "welcome" is definitely not ! We visit the island often at weekend through the year and, as it was Saturday, this cafe was open and allegedly pet friendly. However, we were stopped at the door. This is the third time we have been turned away because either " it is too full" (we looked through the window and it was not) or "we have stopped serving food" . Well on each visit the staff member bounced to the door so quickly to prevent us entering, he did not have time to find out what we wanted to order. Sad really, we used to go there and enjoy the ambience but after three refusals that's it. The Ship Inn , on the other hand, was very welcoming indeed. Choose carefully snackers.
Visited for a family pre-Christmas lunch. Had the turkey Christmas dinner which was excellent. Service was really good also. Would definately go again .
This place was recommended to us by a few people on Facebook so decided to give it a go. It was quiet for a Saturday afternoon which suited us fine. The two gentlemen on duty were brilliant- attentive without being overbearing. The menu is small but honestly that worked so well for us- my husband having ADHD can get overwhelmed with choices and FOMO so having a limited selection was perfect. I wasn't hungry enough for a starter, he ordered the pork belly bites and the server asked if we'd like them to come with the main which was really appreciated. Husband went for the flat iron steak and I chose the bone marrow beef burger. The food came quickly and was presented beautifully. The pork belly bites were melt-in-the-mouth delicious, so tender and flavourful. Husband's steak was cooked to chef's recommendation (he likes it blue and this was rare) and was perfectly cooked. The burger was a triumph- the bone marrow giving it a rich, sumptuous flavour; accompanied with strong melted cheddar, tomato, baby gem lettuce and pickles it was stunning. My only wish was that it had fresh onion too but I realise lots don't like onion!
I was driving so stuck to Fentimans- husband had a craft beer and a cocktail (a reasonable £9) that looked to be their own creation.
Atmosphere was lovely and chilled- early 90s pop playing at a perfect volume (loud enough to hear it, not so loud to be distracting!) They even turned the heater down when we asked as it was blasting on us. Would definitely recommend and revisit!
Visited this place again when visiting on our half term family getaway. We always come here every holiday and always greeted warmly. Once we are in the area we will be back again for sure.
A very cosy, friendly pub with good choice of beer. Good menu choice, proper home cooking, with generous portions of tasty traditional dishes. We had a great meal, with efficient & good natured service.
La primera visita, la comida y el servicio eran excelentes y a un precio muy razonable. Personal muy amable, hecho para sentirse muy bienvenido. Más que feliz de volver
Brilliant little pub, definitely worth a visit. We didn't stay in the rooms, was just a stop off for a Sunday roast. Great food and dog friendly with a nice warm roasting fire - with an equally warm welcome.
Ideal if you're on walks in the areas.
