Best place to dine in Alnwick. Always perfect!

Called in here on Sunday intending to have a meal but were made to feel very unwelcome. Staff looked stressed and were not particularly friendly. We were charged £2.40 for half a pint of blackcurrant cordial with tap water! There was only one table with available seats and it did have cutlery on it, but as there was no where to stand we sat there. We were curtly told that the table was reserved and as another couple left we were ushered to their vacated table. One of the servers trampled on my friend’s foot and never apologised or even acknowledged it. We sat feeling very uncomfortable while the staff discussed their private lives right beside us. We will not be returning

Second visit in recent weeks for family celebrations....food was amazing...Sunday lunch and large fish & chips. Cider was really good. Highly recommended and some great cars and other memorabilia to look at. Love the place and we will be back.

First visit, on a Friday night in March. Food was really good and some interesting choices on the menu that we'd not seen elsewhere. Service was a little slow but it was busy. Just under £100 without tip for two courses and drinks for 3 people.

Fabulous lunch ,we didn’t have starters but had dessert .We both had Turkey with amazing Yorkshire pudding.Cheesecake for myself and apple and blueberry crumble for hubby .This place is well worth a visit

Great place! Good, quick, polite service, we placed quite a large order & everything came out perfectly and efficiently, even though the cafe was busy. Would highly recommend!

Seriously tasty fish and chips. Both cod and haddock were of a generous size, beautifully flaky and white, and with crisp but not overly greasy batter. Chips were spot on too.

Visited today (Sunday 18th) as it's our place to come to for a fantastic Sunday dinner! We were welcomed as normal on our table of choice. I opted for a new choice on the menu of lamb and my husband got his favourite pink topside. Our food came and as noticed by both it was all completely different as normal. My husband's topside was not pink. The lamb was fatty and inedible, roast potato's leathery, gravy was watery, veg overcooked and everything unseasoned. Unfortunately we had to send both meals back. Our worst experience. we also visited through the week for lunch and our beef sandwich was too tough and inedible. The young lady serving us apologised and explained that all the chefs had left the previous week and she was also due to leave due to new poor managment. This is a massive shame to what was once our favourite place to eat. We will not be back.

A wonderful Pub where the expert eye for detail includes the bespoke handmade diary (must be worth a fortune!). Well worth a visit.

Went to mark my Son's 18th Birthday was not disappointed - the food was excellent and to top it off they have a photo of my Dad on the wall

I was expecting great food since it’s supposed to be Italian, but honestly, it was very average. Nothing special. The decor was heavy and not very welcoming. Overall, it didn’t make me want to come back.

They do a very nice lunchtime special here at a fair price. Service was quick and efficient, the food good and the portions large. All in all a nice experience.

Amazing restaurant, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and were sat with drinks within minutes. So many options on the menu and was absolutely spoiled for choice. Nicest Italian restaurant I have ever been to.

Beautiful cafe with delicious coffee! I've never seen pistachio latte before and it was so tasty! Lovely atmosphere and generous seating inside and out. I'll definitely be back for lunch one day 😊
