Superb village pub, with a twist. The classic vehicle theme, both inside and out makes this pub visually interesting. Visit for the real ale and warm welcoming atmosphere but stay for 1 extra round as you check out the vehicles and eclectic decorative style. A short walk from the George Hotel.

Petrolheads dream pub. If you're interested in great food, good beer and a fabulous motorsports themed pub in Humshaugh, a beautiful village in the heart of rural Northumberland. They run a car meet first Sunday of the month which is a great afternoon out. Food is top notch. The Beer garden and games room are something a little special. If like me believe an electric car is a glorified milk float and the roar of a V8 is something to savour then definitely check it out. @blackbeltmotorclub

Visited The Crown on Sunday 12th August, having just arrived for a few days away in Barrasford. The Crown had the nicest reviews of pubs within an afternoon stroll. It was a beautiful sunny day and after a long walk beside the river The Crown was a very welcome sight. Such a quirky, genuine village pub. The bar staff were really friendly and we made our way past the vintage scooter table into the beautiful beer garden. Such a gorgeous, sun spot with ample tables both in the shade and sun. We were only planning on a couple of drinks, but the food looked so tasty we decided to order. We had hunters chicken and sirloin steak. Both dishes were really tasty and good sized portions. The beer, (Graingers Ale), and cider (Appleshed) were refreshing and we sat enjoying them and the atmosphere for a couple of hours. The locals were really friendly and chatted to us, offering advice on what to see on the area. We would definitely recommend The Crown.

We arrived at The George Hotel around 2 wanting a Sunday roast . They don’t do but recommended The Crown. I rang to book and a friendly lady took our booking for lunch at 3. A steady 15 min stroll up to the pub and greeted by a classic pub with a few novelty cars on show . On entering the pub a very friendly and polite member of staff helped us to a drink and our table. After seating the Sunday roast beef arrived , excellent service , with a smile . The dinner , I could not fault , quality beef , great HM Yorkshire’s , fantastic roasties and a great selection of vegetable . I’m not a mash guy , but theirs was sensational , creamy and delicious . This was topped off with a scrumptious beef gravy , nothing was too much trouble , the quality of service , ingredients and presentation top notch either a definite 5* tasty dinner .. 👍thanks guys , a treat 🫡 .

Just went in for lunch, not sure of accommodation services. Lovely choices on menu and food was delicious. Staff were understanding of a disability and attentive to adjustments if required. One chicken goujon sandwich, one posh fish finger sandwich and one Steak & Ale pie with mushy peas. All with hand cut chips. Fish fingers and chicken goujons were freshly battered and more than adequate portions. Delcious. Chips were best we have had for a long time. Heaps of beautofully braised steak in pie and the tastiest gravy! Can be accessed from front (main high street) or rear (through beer garden, outside of which there are multiple car parks). One of our party struggles with mobility and had a four wheel Walker. Both entrances have access ramps and although a few steps, there is a hand rail available and were manageable for her. Definitely recommend. Will be back.
