Good family friendly Italian style restaurant.

Food excellent as usual. My only criticism is: waitresses were constantly at a large table (a group of ten) asking if they wanted more drinks etc. Sat as a couple felt ignored that no one offered this service hence no extra drinks or desserts ordered and had to ask for the bill.

Outstanding meal last night. My pasta had huge prawns in it & plenty of them . My partner says it the best lasagna he’s ever had. Excellent service too. The staff work very hard & are very nice & friendly.

I haven’t written a review on Tripadvisor for 18 months now, probably because nothing has stood out in either a good way or a bad way. However, this evening we visited Vercelli for the Thursday Early Bird menu. £14 for 3 courses - fantastic value! Good portions and excellent quality food. Outstanding customer service from Megan. This will become a regular on the calendar.

Visited for lunch yesterday. Not the first time we have been and definitely won’t be the last. Staff are lovely, very polite and attentive. We got the lunchtime special- £14 for three courses!! It is an absolute treat! Meatball starter delicious, potato skins, pasta a hearty portion and the pizza delicious and plentiful (we took some home). If you are looking to have a great meal, look no further. Beautiful outdoor seating area for the summer. Can’t wait for the sunshine!!

First time visiting Vercelli today and cannot fault anything. The pizza was one of the best I've had from a restaurant.

Bottomless brunch was chaotic, Service was poor as didn't seem like enough staff to fulfil the drinks orders. Would of been better if customers could go to bar & ask for a drink themselves when they were ready

Having just arrived in hexham after a long drive from Pompey, Italian was on my list so popped in on the off chance and was made welcome. Very good food, drink and service.

Visited with my Mum on a Wednesday Evening for happy hour. Lovely place,nice atmosphere,quite busy for a week day Evening too. Food was lovely,staff very good,polite and friendly but not too much in your face. Good value for money also 3 courses for £14.

Had a fabulous meal at Vercellis last night. 4 of us there. Starters were great especially the mussels and we had pizzas and pasta for mains. All tasty and pizza bases and toppings fresh.

Booked a table while staying nearby at Slaley Hall. We received a warm welcome and were able to take advantage of the early bird offer which was 3 courses for £14. Despite the early bird menu being limited, we found plenty to tempt us. I had meatballs followed by pizza and found the food to be very tasty. The pizza was really tasty with a thin crispy base. I selected a coffee as my third course and found staff to be helpful and attentive. Overall a great family restaurant if you are in the area and after a decent Italian. Will definitely call again if in the area.

Pop in every so often for the early bird special, great value but you do need to book

Staff were lovely, we were late and they were marvellous, food brilliant, excellent value and quality. All in all highly recommended.

I came here for a graduation celebration with my daughter. There was a 3 course menu special weekdays before 6.30 pm for £14.00. The food we had was really tasty with good sized portions. Excellent value for money too. I would definitely recommend.

Staff were really friendly and found me a table in the bar area on a busy Saturday night. Service was attentive and my vegetarian lasagne and brownie were delicious, as was the raspberry muddle cocktail. I was too late for the earlybird deal, but even so it was reasonably priced. A nice treat on my visit to Hexham :)

A really lovely place to go and food to eat. We went for the early bird menu which was very reasonable (14.00), the choice was good and portions ample. A very enjoyable evening.

A very pleasant experience. Staff were efficient and attentive without being intrusive. The food was tasty and of good quality. Portions were a decent size too. We had the "Early Bird" menu which represents good value. If ever I am back in Hexham I would seriously consider returning.

Visited whilst on holiday 2 adults and 2 children, staying locally. Liked it that much we have booked to go back later in the week. Definitely worth a visit for a meal if you are in the area.

Really impressed with this bright spacious restaurant looking into an outside eating area and trees. Staff lovely. Food really tasty and with the Early Bird deal, very reasonable. We've probably been to this restaurant at least half dozen times in past eighteen months and always enjoyed. We booked for eight people a couple days in advance, but about seven hours before we were due to eat, we had to reduce the booking from eight to six due to illness. We were told there'd be a cancellation fee of £10! It was a Wednesday evening and whilst we were there, I'd guess it was only 40% occupied. Clearly, cancelling two covers had made no difference whatsoever to their customer demand. Especially when we had given good notice. Unfortunately, their staff "paid the fine"......£10 off the tip!! The food was as good as ever, but I felt robbed!

First and last visit. The decor doesn't look like an Italian or even close. The staff looked like they where in a hurry to close.Quickest dinner ever. My mussels where ok. Dont bother better places in the area.

Exceptional staff and food . Many restaurants do not don't seem to encourage Wheelchair users but the staff here went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The steps at the access were no problem the staff brought a ramp and even pushed...

Stumbled across Vercelli, they deserve their success, cant speak highly enough about the standard of food they serve. Spag bog’ to die for. Excellent house red. Great service. Seems you need to book though we managed to walk in. More than your average Italian!.

First time in Hexam, simply passing and saw sandwich board on pavement outside- 3 courses for 14 pounds before 6.30. Don't know how they can do it for the price! but they can with bells on!. Excellent Italian fare, spaghetti bolognese to die for. Great house red. Great service.

My three guests enjoyed their food immensely. However, when I ordered steak Diane, the sauce was as runny as the water out your tap. Steak was perfectly cooked, and the sauce ruined my meal. Steak Diane sauce should be thick and creamy, I have eaten it countless times. The staff that I had interactions with were amazing, very professional, young ladies. The restaurant had a good ambience. The chef let this restaurant down.

We have been here quite a few times lovely place and staff are very nice always very good service we were there for my husband's birthday unfortunately he was the only only one who had bland food his meal was nice just a little tasteless so that's the only reason for 4*but we will go back as enjoy this restaurant a lot .

Vercellis catered so well for our large party last night. The waitress was extremely well informed about allergy issues and ensured the chef was alerted to the various restrictions our party had. Service was prompt and efficient despite the size of the group and the food excellent. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Following an afternoon at the cinema we fancied something to eat. We arrived around 6.15pm and discovered the early bird menu. We hadn't booked but there was plenty of room for us. We had the potato skins, delicious and generous with a creamy mayonnaise dip. Then two pizzas and a carbonara tagliatelle all of which was delicious. The two pizza people couldn't manage to eat them all and we received the remainder in a box to take home. Twobice creams and a coffee ended a very enjoyable visit. The staff were lovely.

Last minute choice and glad we went. Cocktails were very good. We had a tuscan risotto and fettuccine gamberi. While the fettuccini was a little basic and I couldn't taste much basil in the Napoli sauce, the king prawns were the best I've ever had. Seriously good, huge, juicy and full of flavour. The risotto was delicious. Panna cotta was also delicious. Service was good, very attentive but a little wooden or formal perhaps, it could've been a little more relaxed. The prices were very reasonable. The decor and setting of lights and outside area were very nice. I'd recommend visiting.

Visited with friends having been many times before. Always a big welcome. Lovely starters - squid, bruschetta. All had seafood fettuccine. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent Italian restaurant which we were recommended to try while staying up at St. Oswald's Farm on the Military Road.. Interesting menu with all the standards there but the food was well-presented and tasty. Good friendly and efficient service from the staff. Booking by OpenTable which worked very well for us. All our food was lovely!!!! Simple wine list but they do wine by the glass, so we were happy. Comfy cocktail bar at the front with a nice atmosphere and a patio garden area at the back with booths.
