Rossini Amble in Northumberland

We've eaten at the Rossini restaurant on several occasions now and every time it has been very good. The service, the atmosphere, the food and variety of it. It is just, very good. Being gluten intolerant always adds an interesting dynamic to our dining out. I was easily catered for at Rossini's. Almost everything on the menu could be adapted by the chef for me. There is nothing that I couldn't order from the menu, and the gluten free pizzas are super. Our family visited for Easter and all 10 of us went there. It was not a problem at all. The service from our waitress was excellent and all of the food was brought to the table together, Not something that happens everywhere. We all had fantastic food. I can't recommend Rossini's highly enough. Go, I know you'll want to go back again.

Ordered takeaway pizza (Mushroom, Pepperoni, and Onion). £10.95 and the girl said she’d prefer cash. Gave her a Twenty + £1 expecting a tenner change. She came back with £5 + coins. I thought she’d given me 2x £2 coins and £1. Only when i got home did i find it was 3 £1 coins. So £13 for a very disappointing uber-thin pizza. I’ve sat in a couple of times in the past and it was good. But i wont be back. Pity because the service was quick and the staff seemed friendly. Luckily, living in Amble we have a wide choice. Boy oh boy, i wish i’d read other reviews before going in. The manager/owner seems to have no inkling about customer service judging by responses they’ve left. I’m beginning to think wrong change was deliberate, maybe because i have a Scottish accent.

Came with my partner for a lovely meal. Didn't book and it was busy so we feared we wouldn't get seated but they managed to seat us quickly. Lovely setting and when the meal arrived it was as delicious as it looked (chicken dela casa and a fillet medium/rare with peppercorn sauce) Will have to come back soon to work our way through the menu

Had I read the owner’s responses to customers reviews before booking I would never have darkened his doorstep Rude uninterested man who has zero customer service skills and add that to the bland food in a restaurant lacking atmosphere and that’s what you can expect from this place I will never darken the door again and I intend to spread the word And before he decides to slag me off for this very honest review ( in fact Iv been kind ) I am not a witch I will not be going to hell I do like salt and your establishment is definitely not classy 👍

Not been in Rossini for over a year which is ridiculous given the quality of food and service we got last night….best garlic bread with cheese ever and the Della Casa which is chicken stuffed with black pudding and wrapped in parma ham was outstanding….it definitely wont be that long before our next visit 👌

Having a long weekend in Amble, we like to go to different places to eat but after discovering rossini we went back the next evening too. The food was fantastic as was the service. Very quick and attentive. Thank you

We visited this establishment on a cold and wet midweek evening and was greeted with a warm and friendly smile, the service was excellent throughout our visit. The cheese and tomato garlic bread was excellent and a really good portion for two. My chicken stuffed with black pudding and served with a French mustard and cream sauce was one of the best main dishes I’ve had in and Italian restaurant. Clean and inviting furniture and decor with some Italian touches which made this a great and enjoyable visit.

Have been out with my partner,staff were friendly and efficient,good food. The homemade tiramisu way my favorite dessert. We definitely will be back

Visited Rossini on a Monday night, only the 4 of us in which should have told us something. It soon became apparent that there wasn't much heating on as the restaurant was cold. Given menus and waitress stood and watched over us from a short distance away whilst looking at menu instead of leaving us for a short while. Garlic Prawns for starter which had no taste of garlic whatsoever, Fillet Steak Surf n Turf (med/rare) for main, when it arrived, steak was cooked well done and only 2 prawns as the turf. Manager/ Owner would not let one of us take a glass of wine away (was staying 20 yards away and said we would return glass next day, not exactly going to steal a glass worth 50p) as he said he'd had bad experiences relating to this matter. Won't be visiting again

I went to the restaurant staff is very friendly and polite happy…restaurant looks nice and clean…food very tasty and high quality fillet steak looks nice size and cook perfect really enjoyed thanks very much for the service

Read reviews on trip advisor. Some negative, but mostly positive. We came anyway, the food was fantastic, the staff were great. Honestly couldn’t fault it. Don’t believe the negative 10/10

Called in again today, son was treating me for my birthday. Food was delicious, service was good, waiter was so friendly and welcoming All our food was lovely but the fillet surf and turf was outstanding.

Good all round experience, friendly staff and reasonable prices. We will most certainly be back soon. Keep up the good work!

Have a fabulous meal . Fillet Steak x 2 Bruchetta starter. Not booked went as walk in , served straight away . Wine house red smooth and Lager Peroni . Steak and starter of excellent quaily and good price. Live in a tourist city of York used to many good restaurants. The Steak here will take some beating !!

Garlic mushroom starter was awful. Bland and greasy. Quattto Stagioni pizza wasn’t in ‘quattto staggionis’! It was some tiny bits of ham and onion scattered around the top of a soggy pizza base. Main course was served about 5 minutes after starter was finished.

Booked a table here for evening meal, as a couple, I ordered the chicken breast with peppercorn sauce, when it arrived I tried to cut into the (supposably tender) chicken but was so tough was impossible, so I told the waiter who took it away and brought another one to me, same again tough and chewy, my partner tried some and agreed with me. I found the staff rude, and sarcastic, and no customer skills what so ever. I have eaten in many places but this has to be the worst. Will never ever return to this establishment again. I should have read all the reviews more carefully as would never have booked here..

Amazing menu with great food and a really friendly service

Called in by chance as the other Italian in Amble was full. Did us quite a favour as the food was excellent, huge starters lovely main courses. House wine by the glass was good and the whole lot was very good value.

We went for lunch my husband and I and had a most delicious meal best italian we have had in a while. Super friendly table service and a marvellous chef certainly could cook. We shall go back next may when staying in the area again.

Poor food and service we had not even finished some dishes when the plates were removed from the table a poor experience overall.

Lovely food, but very rude. Service here was terrible, we were ignored, our plates were taken without asking if we were done & the dessert menu was thrown onto the table without asking if we wanted it.

Visiting a friend last night and was taken here. Very welcoming and very friendly! Wine was very very nice and the food matched it. Staff had very good engagement with us and gave us a few shot at the end. Would 100% come back!

Loved the food, delicious and fresh. Service took a while as it was an evening, atmosphere was loud and busy. Rude service staff and wasn't friendly. People at the front/ Owner were nice though.

Myself and my husband came for our tea it was nice and busy but the owner greeted us and took us to a nice table, Himself and his wife are both so friendly and always make you feel welcome, there is a lovely waitress there aswell who is also a lovely lady always takes the time to have a little chat, Food is amazing and reasonable prices, We are looking forward to our next visit already.

We visited here today for lunch, they had 2 courses for £12.95 per person (starter and mains) 12-3pm. well worth it the food was very nice and good value

Visited with friends. Staff were very friendly. I had garlic mushrooms to start and it was a very generous portion. Others enjoyed the black pudding pepe. The mains are very large portions so if you have a smaller appetite you might want to skip the starter. I enjoyed the lasagne. We had some beer and wine and the bill was so reasonable. Food was hot and tasty. Everyone (6 of us) enjoyed their meal and we would all return and recommend to others. The other thing I'd add is that they left us to enjoy our evening with no pressure to leave.

Just had a takeaway from here. Chips looked like they were last weeks, and tasted of stale chip fat. Very poor, and overpriced food. Sorry, but true.

Read some of the reviews so was a little skeptical. We didn’t book and when we arrived there was a notice in the window to say they were full but asked anyway for a table for two and they fit us in. Lovely people, food didn’t take long, big menu to choose from. Della casa (i think) was delicious!

Absolutely incredible meal and exceptional value! My mum is vegan and they catered for her so well while we enjoyed steak Rossini (sorry, mum!).. we all agreed it was the best fillet steak we’ve had, it was cooked perfectly! Tiramisu was also a highlight. Service was great, lovely and friendly.

Food ok but not at all special, in fact pretty mediocre. Bottle of red wine was good. Service quick but then it was very quiet. Wouldn't recommend if your looking for good quality Italian cuisine.

We were stopping locally for a night and decided to go out for a meal at Rossini's. Our friends had eaten there previously so it was a easy decision. We had to book though as it was a afterthought. We could only get in at the start of service but we did not mind. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent with good portions and we all left very happy. I would happily return again!

At Amble (staying at Redrow) on holiday. Popped in at lunchtime, nice lady advised we could get a takeaway after 5pm. I telephoned few times no answer. So drove to restaurant and asked for pizza and extras to takeaway. A rude man said we’re busy at the moment and 50 min wait. Didn’t say hello, no customer service so didn’t order. Will not bother again and we’ve been here twice this year. Thanks as we were left with no tea. 😞

We had a family meal for 4 and it was really good. Very good value food and drink. Absolutely no complaints. Plenty of parking in the nearby streets too.

Really poor experience here for a family meal. Had a phone blasting music right by our ears when we sat. Moved the phone to an empty table and got shouted at (later apologised to for it). Kids pizza was completely burnt and inedible. Didn't send back as older kid didn't eat their pizza so didn't need a replacement but no apology, no checking, not even a "how is/was your meal". Adults pizzas were average at best. Orange juice was clearly from a cheap concentrate carton and with soda ended up as wine without soda. Appreciate its reasonably cheap but this is at best an average experience and I would definitely not return here.

Very good. I will go back again. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The staff friendly and polite. I give it 10 stars.

Very disappointed disabled wc floor very slippy when mentioned to waiter did not seem to bothered the food did not seem to be usual standard

We ordered pizza and a surf and turf. The food was great and the service was great although a little over attentive. We were seated and the waitress said she would give us a couple of minutes before taking our drinks order. Almost immediately a different waitress came for our drinks order. The food was served suspiciously fast. Plates immediately cleared after eating. I know you can't please everyone but i felt we were a bit rushed to get done and out. Paid quite a bit for some nice food, i would have liked to enjoy the atmosphere a bit more. Other than that we enjoyed the food

Called in as reviews indicate was not busy ,we were told just sit down ,we asked if there was a table before waot8ng he said if you don't want to wait just go ,this was rude and uncalled for I don't know how he does any business with an attitude like that. Well your reply shows ,how rude and ignorent you are and im glad we did not waste are time and money ,as for being drunk whem we drove her on a recomendation from newcastle city youl find there was no alcohol ,your attitude and responce shows what an absolute waist of time you are.

An evening to rember for all the wrong reasons - we were threatened both verbally & physically by the owner who had to be restrained by his staff - we could & should have reported the matter to the police - We went for what was supposed to be a lovely evening meal & to be verbally & physically assaulted was an experience one could never wish for - we are a retired couple & have & never want to experience this again it was absolutely disgusting . At no stage were we abusive or raised our voices we just wanted a nice quite meal out - this restaurant should be closed down & the owner given counseling

Ordered seabass dish from menu fish no taste and very dry looked it it been a few days old. The tomato sauce too salty. Service indifference. Had mussels in wine and garlic as starter again just tasted too salty and no wine nor garlic favour. Noticed lots of good reviews but this was my experience.

Greeted by a very cheerful friendly man. Orders taken, food delivered, generous portions, hot and tasty. Nice atmosphere inside. Enjoyed it.

Our meal yesterday evening at Rossini's was delightful. Good food, exceptional service, and good value for money. The overall ambience of the restaurant is smart, welcoming, and relaxing.

First time we have visited Rossinis. Will definitely go back. We went on a Sunday it was quite empty at first but gradually more people arrived. Great service, staff friendly and happy. We felt comfortable and the lady who served us was chaty and didn't rush us. Food was good and nice sized portions, good selection. Reasonable priced. Give it a try. We will certainly go back..

Be careful - big portions :) Very nice food and nicer front of house (can we call them waitresses still?). Despite the large portions still manged 3 courses and will return when I get back up there.

The food was tasty if a little salty and heavy.

Excellent black pudding and Frito miso, and big chunky mussels on multiple dishes. Nice ambience and attentive staff, however only misses on the 5* as my wife's salmon was very overcooked. Otherwise a great meal would return.

Went there Sunday evening for my daughter in law’s birthday. I had vegetarian pizza. It was the best pizza I have ever had. The staff were wonderful. Nothing was any trouble for them. They are so professional and friendly. We all had a lovely relaxed few hours.
